In accordance with the Town of Kiawah Island Short Term Rental Ordinance, all guests understand that the approved number of bedrooms is 2, the maximum allowed occupancy is 5, and the maximum allowed number of vehicles is 2.

Please note: Beginning in early December, the building will undergo deck renovations. While the exact scope and timing of activity may vary, some disruption is possible. Current rates have been adjusted to reflect this work.

This 4th-floor (top floor) unit has one of the best beach views on Kiawah Island.

The front exterior entrance of this villa building has a short flight of stairs, with an ADA-compliant ramp up to the first floor, with access to an elevator or use of adjacent stairs.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $250. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, and more – the choice is yours!

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

The ocean view was beautiful especially from a very cozy balcony. The walking and biking trails were great. We enjoyed two great meals at Freshfields (48 Wines & Hege’s) and had a great round of golf at Cougar Point.

Just as advertised.

As the title suggests, the property was very nice and just as advertised. The top floor unit was ideal for us. In addition, this complex sits pretty much mid-island and it was easy to ride bikes anywhere from here. We would stay here again!!

Great Location. Awesome View.

As advertised, this property has the best view being that it's on the top floor (level 4). Great view from both living room-balcony and master bedroom. Well equipped kitchen with all the appliances and utensils needed for everyday cooking. Place could use some refresh including wall paint and light bulbs replacement. Great TV with awesome sound bar for entertainment. Bldg has wide-open parking lot with plenty of bike racks nearby if you're renting bicycles. Will stay again.

Proximity to the beach is great, especially for parents with young children. The unit could have been cleaner on our arrival. Akers was helpful in delivering a new vacuum upon request and willing to fix/clean as necessary.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It had been two years since our last stay here. The views are outstanding and location to the beach great. The décor in the unit really needs to be upgraded. Upon arrival there was a maintenance person there to repair the handle on the dishwasher, we told him that we could get by until he figured out how to re-install. The stove has a loose handle. There were two areas that have water damage to the flooring, in front of the dishwasher and going out to the deck (THIS NO DOUBT CONTRIBUTED TO THE SLIGHT MUSTY SMELL IN THE UNIT)

Cozy bungalow

This small unit fulfilled our needs for a family of four for a week of vacation. Easy access to beach, parking good. It does need a few things to be fixed door handles that immediately came off doors and the outer screen door doesn’t shut and some of the shutters were broken off upon arrival. A fan vent in master bath above toilet also broken. These broken items never bothered us unless we get held responsible for it. Instead of us the renters providing a list of already broken items upon arrival ….maybe you guys should provide renters a list of what’s broken so we are not responsible for the repairs! Other than that we enjoyed our stay - no issues!

All guests pay a property protection fee as part of their rental. That amount goes toward any necessary repairs or replacements in the home within reason. This information will be outlined in your rental agreement as well to ensure that we are providing as much transparency to guests as possible.

Needs major improvements

The views were great. The place needs a lot of attention. Two of the four windows in the master bedroom wouldn’t open. Same for the living room. The latches were broken. One shade in master bedroom was torn and the chain was broken so it had to be raised manually. Entry window sill by front door was rotten. Some light bulbs in master bath were out. The only upgrades are the TVs. I would not stay in this unit again unless it undergoes major TLC.

Terribly Disappointed

There were several issues with this rental. MOLD all in the master shower. In fact, I took showers in my flip flops. Mold on the ceiling in the living/dining area. Paint was coming off in large sections on the kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets. The light fixture was falling off in the master bathroom toilet room. The air return was broken and filthy. Kept falling open. It appears as if the walls have not been painted in years. There were only folding chairs on the balcony, which only allowed you to look into the wooden rails, not over them. The second bedroom shows a bunk over the king bed, however there is not enough space between the top bunk and the ceiling for someone to sleep there. This property has the potential to be an amazing place, however no one seems to be paying attention to the condition. For the cost, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Owner/Rental Agency seems to be getting a premier price for a SUBPAR property.

We are sorry to hear of your continued disappointment. I see that all items brought to our attention upon your arrival were addressed within 24 hours of your arrival time, including the small areas of mildew that were reported. As stated previously, the chairs on the balcony were temporary fixtures as the ones pictured has been broken and the new one were on order. Unfortunately, other matters were not reported during your stay and we have received no other complaints for guest before or after. We are truly sorry that you did not seem to enjoy the villa overall, but do believe much of it to be personal preference. We hope that you were able to enjoy your time on the island otherwise.

Weekend getaway

My best friend and I went to Kiawah Island for a weekend getaway. Lovely property with a fantastic view. Sitting on the porch deck watching the ocean was my favorite. Condo was clean and inviting. Would book again without any hesitation.

Perfect View & Great Beach Location

We’ve never stayed with Akers Ellis before but have stayed all over Kiawah w other rentals. They were great! Very clean, checked in on us and even offered to come over when we had a small question about something.

Wonderful girls trip

This was a wonderful place to stay on our girls trip to South Carolina. We loved the access and view of the ocean and we had the amenities we wanted. Loved it!

This is the second time we have stayed in this villa. We went back because of the location. However, this condo is beginning to get rundown. For the second year, the washer was broken. The ceiling had mold or something black on it. The entire place appeared tired and in need of an update.

This became more difficult because Vacasa took over many of the villas. Vacasa was absolutely horrible and we looked for another company. I have to say that Akers Ellis was fabulous. They were always available and extremely easy to contact for any communication. Soooooo, despite this villa needing some update and thorough cleaning, we would definitely rent it again because Akers Ellis was so easy.

Great location but needs maintenance

We actually own a property that we list on VRBO, so I am looking at this through an owners eyes. This was the worst maintained property I have ever stayed at in Windswept villas....and I have stayed there many times previously. It was dirty, mold on the ceiling, the paint touch up didn’t match all over the condo and I had to go buy Clorox to clean when we arrived. Some random showed up to fix the ice maker and just walked into the condo while my teenage daughter was taking a nap and we were golfing. That is a huge safety issue to me....we also never called to have the ice maker fixed so she was scared. I tried to call the rental company but was directed to email and a recording over and over. The kitchen was not equipped or clean enough to cook a meal.....all while we are trying to safely distance during a pandemic. We won’t be back renting from Akers Ellis.

We are worry to hear of your disappointment in this unit. We do make every effort to ensure that each of our units are properly cleaned prior to guest arrival. However, should there ever be an issue, we are always happy to have our housekeeping partners come back to the unit to reclean any areas reported to be missed. It does not appear we were made aware of any issues with cleanliness during your stay, and were thus unable to offer a solution. We also apologize that your daughter was frightened when a member of our team entered the property to look at the ice maker. From our records, we were indeed notified on March 29 that the icemaker wasn't working. Our team member went to look at it and knocked multiple times and announced themselves when entering, as they are instructed to do each time they enter a unit. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, but hope you were able to enjoy the island while you were here.

Great location & views but minor updates would help

Property was nice and the location was great. Views were perfect. Only complaints were minor things—toilet paper holder and faucet in bathroom were loose, appliances slightly outdated and air vents were quite dirty. Also appears to be something resembling mold on the ceiling. Slightly concerning but not enough for us to not stay.

Wonderful ocean views

Property was in a very desirable location and top corner, ocean front condo. Views were spectacular! Unit needs updating (lights, door latch, window coverings torn, towel bar) and deep cleaning. Really appreciated the credit for obtaining bicycles & beach chairs. Enabled exploring island and relaxing at beach.
