If you have never been to Whidbey, you are in for a treat. Close to everything - but far away from it all. Located in the northwest corner of Washington State, in the Puget Sound, nestled between the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Take in our fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whidbey Island is located 1 1/2 hours north of Seattle. Enjoy a 20 minute ferry ride to the island. The island has enough activities to entertain you for weeks. Shop in nearby towns where window shopping, art galleries, antique stores, book stores, ice cream shops and many restaurants will keep you entertained for hours on end.
Come and see why Coastal Living Magazine calls Whidbey the 'accessible island'. Whidbey Island is a dream come true. Whether you are coming to hike, golf, fish, bird, bike, kayak, beachcomb, clam, gallery and antique shop, wine taste, or simply relax and enjoy the spectacular views - you have found the perfect spot. All this and the summer festivals will make your visit memorable.
This private beach house is located in central Whidbey in the community of Greenbank, near South Whidbey State Park, where there is an abundance of wooded and beach trails. The location of the house provides for easy access to all parts of the island. Travel south to the artsy village of Langley. Freeland, eight miles south, has all the shopping, even several thrift stores. Go north 12 miles to the historic and craftsy town of Coupeville, home of Ebey's Landing. The Victorian town of Port Townsend is only a ferry ride away, leaving from the Coupeville terminal. Oak Harbor is home to the Navy's Air Station. Further north takes you to Deception Pass Park, the most popular and beautiful park in Washington, where you will enjoy breathtaking views and an exhilarating boat excursion. Cross the bridge connecting Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands and visit the quaint town of Anacortes, where the ferry takes you to the San Juan Islands and Canada.
This house is perfect for family gatherings, small weddings, small business conferences and cooking demonstrations.
A solid wall of windows on the upper level provides sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains and Saratoga Passage. Cook, dine, or settle in to the living room and enjoy these amazing sights.

An open plan kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for cooking gourmet meals or hosting cooking demonstrations.
A private community beach is accessed via one of the most beautiful trails on Whidbey Island. Clams and mussels are plentiful.

We relocated from Texas to Whidbey Island in 2006, upon retirement. Prior to retirement we searched the entire country for our perfect spot. Being on the water was our main criteria. We seriously considered Colorado, North Carolina and Virginia. When we found Whidbey Island, we know we had found home. We could not be more delighted with our choice.
The Owner purchased this house in 2010
Whidbey Island is the ideal vacation spot, any time of year. You can excape the heat of the summer and enjoy high temps in the 60s and 70s. Our winters are extremely mild and the rainfall amounts are far lower than you imagined. We average about 20' a year. The natural entertainment is not to be believed. This is truly heaven.
Where else could you watch the migrating whales and perching eagle, enjoy magnificent mountain and water views, as well as breathtaking sunrises, all from the comfort of this vacation rental.
I took two of my adult sons and my daughter-in-law for a birthday trip. We love Whidbey Island and have stayed at other places previously, and this was definitely a great place for us. The water views were spectacular, especially in the morning. We are all active, so the short hike down to the beach (this property is on a high bank) was pleasant and allowed us to get some exercise. The street is quiet, which is a nice change from the city noise we usually deal with. Watching a seal play in the water was a treat.
The house had everything we needed, and we had some top flight meals as a result without having to hunt up a restaurant. The deck looking over the water is a great place for breakfast and barbecues. My daughter-in-law kept saying how much she liked Eagle's Perch and posting photos to Facebook, so I'm sure it was a hit.
Everyone in our party reported uncomfortable mattresses. Pillows were lumpy and/or flat. I would hesitate to recommend the house for children since the yard slopes steeply to a high bank and the beach is small and rocky, reached by a steep path down a ravine. Watch for nettles along the path. A better beach is a short drive away at South Whidbey State Park. You will need to bring your Discovery Pass or pay a fee. I would definitely visit Whidbey Island again, especially the area around Langley.
Great view to the east over water and Camino Island. Mts. Bakers and Rainier were visible for several days. The south central location at Greenbank made for easy drives to several sandy beaches. The local beach is rocky and requires some athletic ability to traverse the ravine path. One neat feature was several families of quail feeding on the back lawn at evenings. Conveniences are relatively close. The house was well appointed and only required knife sharpening and a new can opener. We thought it was good value for the price.
My husband, myself & our two grown sons came and spent a week out on Whidbey Island, and this was the perfect location. Close enough to the ferry, & stores yet so quiet and serene and beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the home is. Clean, very comfortable beds and the views are breathtaking! Morning noon & night. We had hummingbirds daily, deer, Eagles almost daily! There is so much to do on the islands yet we loved just being "home" and watching the sunrises, sunsets & wildlife! It was a perfect week! Kathy is so nice and so easy to deal with! We will defiantly be back. There is room enough for 2 full families. Thanks, Kathy for EVERYTHING!!! Cindy
What a fabulous place. View from photos does not do the view from the house and deck justice! Such a beautiful place to relax and kids had a blast too. The private beach is a must...just take a beach chair to relax in because it is rocky. Would go to this house again lots of times!
This is a great property. Very spacious, very well equipped kitchen and kept in great shape. It is located in a quiet area on a very secluded street and has amazing inlet views.
The furnishings are nice, the beds are comfortable, the showers/bathrooms are fine and the layout is very open. We had adults, pets, and young children and it was a great place for all. Definitely will go back.
Biking, Antique shopping, shelling, kayaking, wildlife viewing, birding, wine tasting.
