Quaint, clean, well-maintained property in a great mid-island location, walkable to downtown, supermarkets, etc. with everything that you need, and nothing that you don't need. Would not hesitate (and actually look forward to) staying again!

Beautiful property in a good location!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, well equipped and located right next to the wave bus stop - very convenient to get around the island. The owner was very responsive to my questions - highly recommend!

Very nice stay for 5 days in Nantucket with my girlfriend. The home is very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with all the amenities you need. Its is about a 20 minute walk to downtown or a very short bike ride. We didnt have a car and rented bikes to get around for the week and it worked out great. A grocery store and a coffee shop are close by and you can get to any of the beaches no problem by bike. The house includes beach chairs and coolers which was very convenient. Over all, I'd recommended the carriage house to anyone looking for a holiday on the Island.

Wonderful stay!

Had a wonderful week in Nantucket. The cottage was perfect for me and my fiancé. The cottage also has fantastic internet that helped as we were working remote!

Perfect for us!

This is a wonderful vacation cottage! It’s a relatively quick walk into town and about a fifteen/twenty minute bike ride to Cisco/Ladies beach, which is our favorite. The only caveat is that both huge, comfortable king beds are in the same large upstairs space - if that works for you I would highly recommend this Nantucket getaway space!

We loved the new patio cushions and light fixture above the staircase. Each year there are updated treats in the cottage. It's always a terrific visit and a perfect getaway.

Perfect carriage house cottage

We had an amazing stay at this lovely cottage. Location was perfect. Easy walk into town and far enough to avoid traffic if driving out to Sconset. Cottage was so lovely and had everything we needed. Washer and dryer came in handy after beach days, and the outdoor shower was used more than the indoor one. Extremely pleasant stay at this perfect cottage. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Great girls trip!

The carriage house was perfect for our girls trip, just my best friend and I). The two king beds in the loft were quite comfortable and made for great “roomie” vibes. The outdoor shower was a great option if we both needed to get ready at the same time. Another mirror downstairs would be perfect, but not necessary. The bus stop is so close, and very convenient that riding is free in 2025! Downloading the app for the bus made it the perfect choice when traveling without a timeline. But if you need to get somewhere fast, plenty of Ubers and Lyfts were available. The location is perfect for anywhere you want to go. The hosts had great suggestions! Would definitely stay here again!

Great house close to town and beaches!

I recently stayed at this property with my husband and two young kids. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The carriage house was perfect for our family and the location was ideal. I walked to town a couple of times and grabbed coffee/breakfast at two nearby coffee shops every morning which were a 2-3 min. walk. Surfside beach is a 5-6 min. drive. The bike/running path is outside the door and there is a bike shop about a 5 min. walk from the house. Also, the Stop and Shop is only a 3 min. drive for last minute items. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this house for your stay on Nantucket!

Peter's home was the perfect size for 3 of us and had the amenities we required for a 6-day stay including beach chairs, a washer and dryer, coolers and a great streaming TV. My adult daughter and I didn't mind sharing one large bed and my adult son had the other large bed to himself. We loved the proximity to both town and Surfside Beach and we even rode our bikes from the house to Siasconset and back (about 20 miles RT). Perfect location, clean, and the right price for a visit! (Only one glitch that I don't think has anything to do with the owners: One rainy afternoon, a man who said his name was "Mark" suddenly peeked in the living room window while I was alone watching a movie and it kind of freaked me out. I asked him what he wanted and he said he was staying at the main house next door and wondered where we were from. That was odd. I've never had that happen at a VRBO before! He had seen our car with a magnet from Georgia Tech and went on to say his grandfather went to GT. Okay, dude, but how about not creeping us by standing on your tip toes to spy in the window? Knock instead! We're friendly!)

Centrally located, on bike path and close to everything, can walk or bike to old town and beaches or take shuttle bus. Same with restaurants and stores. Nice back yard and porch. Had a problem with the Cleaning crew, did not do the job, left the place dirty, we talked to the owner about it, sent him pictures, he responded quickly. A couple of maintenance items need to be addressed, we talked to the owner about that also, again he responded quickly, non of the items effected our stay, and it is at the end of the season. Nantucket is a very special place to enjoy nature, history, biking and fishing. Get out and enjoy the island!

A little slice of heaven on Nantucket

This lovely carriage house is clean, bright, comfortable and well equipped. The backyard patio is a great place to relax or dine. The owners were very prompt in responding to our questions and concerns. A perfect spot for our two week stay on Nantucket. We can’t wait to come back.

Property review

The property was ideal for 2 people. Although small it provided amenities that enhanced our stay with the exception of not having a dishwasher. Close to everything with bike paths leading in all directions. Walk to get coffee and breakfast. Easy access to town and beach. The adjacent rental property is on the same lot and was vacant when we rented so it was quiet and relaxing!

Great property & location

Small but mighty home, perfect for my wife and I but would also totally work for a family with young kids. Location was amazing, its a short drive to all the great beaches, restaurants and town. We had a car on island but its a close walk to a bike rental property and the bus line. House was completely as advertised, nice outdoor space, shower/patio/grill. Inside was what you needed and the bed(s) were very comfortable. Only issue we had was that the cleaning service didn't do a good job at all. Found that we needed to clean a lot of the dishes ourselves prior to using them, the floor needed a good vacuum and sweep for sure. The grill - while was fine - could use an upgrade, it did take a bit to cook a meal even for two on it. I wouldn't let those get in the way of staying here - its affordable relative to a similar house and in a primo location. But I would ask the owner to get the cleaning service to do a MUCH better job.

Comfortable & Cozy

Peter's Carriage House was exactly as pictured in his photos. The decor was just right for a Nantucket beach house. We were quite comfortable there and enjoyed our stay. We definitely recommend Peter's place for a couple or small family!
