South Kauai Tranquil Retreat w/ AC in Poipu

Waikomo Streams is a peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful property with immaculate gardens. Immerse yourself in a paradise garden view on the Garden Island! We have an updated, air conditioned unit that is quiet and comfortable. The property boasts tropical gardens, a variety of plants, and a koi pond. We are walking distance to The Shops at Kukui'ula and The Poipu Shopping Village for shopping, restaurants, and bars.

There is a master bedroom with adjoining bathroom and a king bed. The bathroom is accessible to the entire condo. You can access the lanai and immerse yourself in the sounds of the river and gardens through the master bedroom or the living room. There is a queen size murphy wall bed in the living area that comfortably sleeps 2 adults and has a full thickness mattress. The kitchen is fully stocked including but not limited to grilling utensils, induction stove, microwave, and kids cups/utensils.. The propane grills onsite are regularly cleaned, stocked with fuel, and ready to use.

The pool has a deep end and a 3' kiddie area, is quiet, offers shade with umbrellas and is surrounded by mature tropical trees and palms.

We had such a great stay here. Definitely a 10/10. The condo was super clean, really spacious, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable right away. The bed was really comfortable, really plush and soft, and having a washer and dryer was a huge plus after long beach days.The location is awesome, close to beaches, restaurants, and shops, and really easy to get around from here. It made exploring super convenient.One of the best parts was the beach gear. Having chairs and an umbrella ready to go saved us from renting anything and made beach days way easier.Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful place very spacious. Home away from home. The enornous couch is sooooo comfortable, I could've slept on it, I did take a nap on it though. Washer, dryer capacity is awesome and the dryer dries fast. Kitchen was very well appointed, had everything I have at home and then some. Loved the oven mits and silicone baking sheets. I ordered the same for our home. Also love the shape of the ice, the ice maker makes...very manageable. All in all a wonderful place to stay. One downfall...second floor carrying luggage up 17 steps.

We loved our stay here. The condo was very spacious for two of us. The bed feels huge and comfortable. Washer worked great. There were thoughtful extra touches like local coffee and tea, beach towels. The location is excellent- walking distance to several restaurants, mall in Poipu, and close to one of my favorite snorkeling spots on the south side and surf breaks. A great home away from home for vacation. I’d highly recommend.

Beautiful condo in Poipu

We loved our stay! The apartment was very spacious and had excellent amenities. The kitchen was very well stocked and had fantastic appliances. We enjoyed having meals out on the balcony with the view of the stream and the Banana trees. The home was truly a “home away from home.” Much more convenient than staying at a resort as parking was easy and getting in and out of the condo was very easy. Extremely close to fantastic dining and beaches. Will definitely book again when we go back to Kauai.

Perfect location!

Our family of 4, two adults and two kids, recently stayed at Waikomo Tranquil Retreat. The condo was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to cook in the kitchen for a few meals. It was also great to have a washer and dryer to wash towels after going to the beach every day. The grounds around the condo are beautiful and the location is GREAT! We were able to walk to Baby beach (cute small beach that is great for young kids) and some restaurants/shops. Overall it was perfect for our needs and we had a wonderful vacation.

Perfect Space

This condo was a great find and perfect for our stay in Kauai. The location was great for all Poipu activities and provided a nice starting point for activities and planning for every place we went on the island. The condo was great - well maintained and clean with lots of little amenities that made our stay easy and enjoyable. The unit was peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were very responsive , ensuring we had everything we needed. Will go again! Highly recommend.

A very nice stay in the Condo. Lots of fans to keep cool (also A/C if you want), nice lanai with a stream view. Large smart TV. Nice Murphy bed that that kids liked. Well apportioned kitchen with great pans and knives. Beach stuff to use (thank you!). Not really great for walking to Poipu Beach, because of a dangerous road with no sidewalks (have to walk on a shoulder). But you can walk another way which isn't as busy. More walkable to the Baby Beach. Walkable to the Botanical Gardens which is very nice. Restaurants around. Nicely located to access Waimea, Hanapepe and Lihue.

Perfect getaway

I would not hesitate for a second to book directly with Audrey. She was so responsive and accommodating. The grounds of Waikomo streams are beautiful. Exactly what I imagine Kauai to be. It’s also easy waking distance to shops and dining. The house is immaculate. Beds are perfect. Bathroom is large and well equipped. Kitchen is well stocked. Very quiet. Even though you’re on the second floor you would never know anyone was above or below you. I have a vacation rental myself and have pretty high standards. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Incredible Location and Condo!

This condo is incredible and I cannot speak highly enough. A few highlights include: The Location: this condo incredibly walk friendly to locations including dinner, views of the beach and stores. It’s only minutes from a selection of incredible beaches too! We were able to go to Waimea Canyon and the North Shore as well. It’s a great central location in a relaxing setting with beautiful flowers. The Condo: is beautiful, clean and spacious. We were all very comfortable and had the kitchen to cut up our local fresh fruit! We were able to wash our dirty hiking and beach clothes which was a huge benefit. The Owners: incredibly knowledgeable about the area and very responsive. They want to make sure your visit is incredible and are full of amazing recommendations.

Beautiful condo, perfect location with all the amenities you could want!

This condo seemed brand new, very clean and had anything that we could need; full kitchen, laundry (very helpful on long trips), master bedroom with dresser/closet storage, very nice bathroom with linens and soaps, shared grill and pool area for the condo complex and beach towels, chairs and cooler to take along for beach days. The condo was easy to find and check-in and hosts were very responsive with any questions. The overall complex is very well maintained and safe. The area is very touristy and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and even a great snorkeling spot at the end of the road. Terrific beaches, grocery store and great small towns are all within a short drive to explore. It's really a great location to use as a hub for exploring the whole island. Their guestbook also had LOTS of helpful suggestions: most of which we tried out and all we would visit again. Hopefully we can visit again someday!

Hidden Oasis

Our Kauai vacation was amazing. And part of the amazing vacation was this hidden oasis. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The condo was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to cook several meals. The bed was very comfortable. The patio was the perfect location for coffee and breakfast in the morning or wine in the evening. The pool at the villa was easy to access and very refreshing (we went every day-some days for just a short period because it was so nice). The location of the villas is walking distance to one of the shopping areas and to the water. But if you prefer to drive, parking was easy at the villas as well as around town. The host was wonderful and responded quickly to any questions. She offered many recommendations for what to do around Kauai and great places to eat. Everything we tried that was recommended was excellent!

Waikomo Tranquil Retreat is our refuge we travel to when we need a reset from the distractions in life. Each time I leave with a renewed sense of peace. We hope to share our space with you and everything we love about it! Our favorite things to do on the island include watching the turtles at Poipu beach and spotting The Milky Way.

Waikomo Streams Tranquil Retreat is on the south side of Kauai in Koloa and 1 mile from world famous Poipu beach where the green sea turtles and monk seals frequent. It is a peaceful property amidst beautiful tropical gardens. Vacationers often return here year after year because of the location, gardens, and close amenities. It is a recently renovated and spacious (>1000 square foot) condo with A/C and a fully stocked kitchen that sleeps 4 people comfortably.

What makes this property unique

Waikomo Tranquil Retreat is a comfortable and air conditioned unit. However, there is the option to open the louvred windows, allow the trade winds to blow through, and be immersed in the sounds of the stream and gardens. There is a separate wine fridge and wet bar. We provide a starter of local Kauai coffee, and local lotion/shampoo/conditioner. We try to support local businesses to make your island experience authentic!

We can offer guaranteed late check out or early check in for an additional 50% off the nightly rate. Daily maid service, or mid stay cleaning with a linen change is available for a $50.00 charge.
