Falling Waters: Cozy Updated Cabin in the Woods
Falling Waters Cabin is a cozy private retreat nestled in the woods just 10 minutes from Clayton. Close to trails, river access, waterfalls, and national forest, this is a great location to enjoy the outdoors. Perfect for one or two couples for a relaxing getaway or a small family for a fun, active vacation. You will enjoy the sounds of the small waterfall and creek as you relax or dine on the spacious wrap-around porch.
The space Falling Waters Cabin is a serene and inviting retreat, with tastefully integrated vintage, boho décor. The cabin was fully renovated as of October 2020 and features new appliances, granite counter tops, and new guest furniture (including mattresses) plus numerous mid-century vintage pieces and art that complement the clean lines of the white and natural wood interior and comfortable environment.
The cabin features an updated loft style with a soaring ceiling and ample natural light in the living room, an open updated kitchen, and 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom and private bath is on the ground level and the second bedroom and private bath is upstairs. The living room couch is a pull out queen size bed for additional sleeping space if needed. You can unwind and enjoy your meals on the covered wrap-around porch, which has multiple areas for your enjoyment - a bistro table and chairs, a comfortable outdoor couch and chairs, and a hanging porch swing. The living room offers a gas-log fireplace. If you prefer a natural wood fire, there is outdoor fire pit by the babbling creek, with additional seating for four. Both a Weber charcoal and gas grill with tools are available for outdoor cooking. Kids and dogs will love dipping into the stream that flows through the woods with a small waterfall that adds a reminder to relax and enjoy your time at Falling Waters Cabin! A cold plunge tub is situated under the fresh creek water. It is assessable to anyone interested in experiencing the many benefits of cold water therapy!
OTHER DETAILS The cabin is situated on a mountain, requiring guests to drive up to reach the destination. The route includes a one-mile stretch of paved, one-lane road, which is typically not busy and features multiple pull-offs and wider areas for passing other vehicles. The street leading to the cabin consists of 0.3 miles of gravel road. The driveway to the house is moderately steep. While all-wheel drive is not necessary, it can be advantageous. Familiarity with mountain roads and driving confidence are also beneficial.

Beautifully equipped cabin with two bathtubs that is located near a number of stunning waterfall hikes. We brought our dogs and they loved this cabin and exploring the mountains. Great cabin, awesome hosts!

It was a pleasure to host you, Laurel. We're disappointed to see that our beautiful mountain property only earned your 6 stars. Especially when we made special accommodations for you and your family and had to perform a deep cleaning after your stay. We appreciate your stay either way and would be open to any feedback as to the ways we could have earned your 10 stars!

Cozy Cottage Get A Way
We found the cottage to be cozy, clean and comfortable. We loved the roomy porch, the bird friendly yard and the chairs by the creek.
During our stay, we enjoyed hikes to three lovely waterfalls.
We hope to return so we can further explore the Georgia Mountains.

Beautiful and peaceful cabin
Cabin was clean and host was very thoughtful. We enjoyed our time there very much. Only advice to future renters is to make sure you bring a vehicle that can handle the mountain roads. We had our 4x4 truck, which was a blessing because my car couldn't have handled that driveway. Overall, we were very pleased and would book again.

Lots of care went into this home
Every window, rocking chair, and amenity was carefully curated for this cute cabin.
We couldn't get the oven to work and the dishwasher was loosely installed--minor inconveniences that did not take away from the magical experience.

Just what I needed
This place is an absolute hidden Gem! We will be back for certain. Pulling up the mountain the view is absolutely gorgeous and then pulling up into the cabins steep driveway you just immediately feel immersed in the forest. I spent the evening reading on the porch that is perfect for peace and relaxation as the creek water gives a nice tranquil noise. My dog was in his heaven running up the mountain and into the creek. He had a lot of fun and I had a lot of relaxation! Bed was amazingly comfortable and place was cleaner than I expected a cabin to be! Was literally perfect and cannot thank Caitlin enough🙏🙏

Such a Nice Parent Getaway!!
My husband and I had one night away from the kiddos and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Falling Waters!! The area has plenty to do but is also just as relaxing as you want it to be. The house was stocked full of everything we needed, they even had a small bottle of local wine ready for us which was such a nice thought! Although it was just the 2 of us, there was plenty of room for another couple or kids. The road up to the cabin is a one-car road, as stated by the owner. My husband is very familiar with mountain driving so we did fine, but it might be a bit intimidating for someone not used to mountain travel. Other than that, everything was perfect and we had a weekend to be remembered. Thank you, Caitlin, for being such an amazing host. We will definitely be back!!
