Andrew was the most excellent host. Great friendly communication. And everything was there to have a wonderful experience in Victoria. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
We had an excellent time at this home away from home. Great location, walking distance to Kings pond and a market. Our host, Andrew, was incredibly accommodating, and perfectly fine with us using anything on the property(hot tub, BBQ, sauna). The house was fully stocked and there were even left over toys and kid equipment for us to use. We were traveling with 3 very young children and Andrew was nothing but friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling with(or without) youngsters!
Andrew was very quick to respond. The kitchen was well stocked. House was very clean. Location was great for our needs. There is an excellent well maintained walking path around the perimeter of Cedar Hill Golf Course within walking distance of the house. The highlight for us was when their Frenchie Penelope aka Pig was in the shared yard.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was very spacious and pleasant for a family of 7. The property was full of things to make our time as pleasant as possible. And Andrew was a wonderful host that was readily available to accommodate our requests.
Great stay! Central to all the sites we wanted to see from the Butchart Gardens, Shaw center aquarium, downtown Victoria- were within a 20 minute drive or less. We stayed with younger kids (3 and 5) and the open floor plan downstairs allowed them to move/run around freely without feeling cramped.
We were in Victoria for a Dragon Boat Festival and found this home to be well equipped for rest & relaxation in between our festival duties. The home owners were exceptionally available and responsive to each request and very accommodating to us. We would stay at this home again.
This home was an excellent find. Clean and super cozy. Had every possible creature comfort. The location was convenient and central for adventures. The hosts were great communicators. Easy check in. Would highly recommend!
Lovely home with lots of space and fully stocked kitchen. Board games and TV. It's a suburban area but there is shopping about 15min walk away. We made do with transit and the occasional evo rental. Host was very easy to communicate with and helpfulkind. House is accessed with key which could be a bit tricky with larger groups. I would stay here again.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The house had a smell of cats. There was no bathroom on the main floor. There is no privacy with the owner and his parents living on site. There are floor to ceiling windows on the main floor with no curtains, and people were in the yard all day, everyday. Only have access to hot water during certain hours of the day. They started a construction project in the yard half way through our stay. Hands down my worst stay yet!
RENTER BEWARE. There is no washroom on the main floor. I had to physically crawl up the stairs every time I needed to use the toilet. I read and reread the original post. It says 1 baths but fails to mention that they are both up a steep and narrow staircase. I would have been better off in a tent in my daughter’s backyard. Thousands of dollars to not leave the upper floor. Hot tub is green. Furniture needs a good cleaning (or cover.) The kitchen is well stocked and the owner checked in with us, but I was too upset to even respond. I did tell the owner that we were older and traveling with my elderly parents. He should have mentioned the physical layout of the house. How can you write a thousand word essay about how to sort the garbage and fail to mention the washroom situation?
Overall it was a great experience. The space was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen was a bit messy when we arrived and we came across many dishes/utensils that were not clean. It also appeared some previous occupants had left items that were not noticed by the cleaning crew. Location was convenient and the host, Andrew, was very responsive.
