You won't get any closer to the beach than with this unit! It's literally on the La Jolla beach, its balcony overhanging the gorgeous sand and blue water. Stroll up Coast Blvd just five minutes and you will be able to enjoy world class restaurants and shopping. La Jolla Village offers everything from casual to sophisticated choices. The Museum of Contemporary Art is just up the street too and there are many private galleries to peruse. If you'd like to venture a little further afield, visit the famous San Diego Zoo, the Birch Aquarium, the Wild Animal Park, Seaworld, Legoland, Torrey Pines Golf Course, Seaport Village and the Del Mar Racetrack.

This cozy apartment is open and airy with a brand new kitchen and hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen reflects the overall beach feel with a custom mosaic backsplash that depicts the ocean waves and sand dunes. A queen size murphy bed folds out and offers great comfort with a high end mattress. In the back room is a twin size bed offering a cozy private area. Offered with your stay are beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, sand toys, games and puzzles.

There is a common area next to the side door that anyone can use. This is not private to the unit. The unit has a large balcony off the living room that is private to this unit only.

Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning.

This home is not equipped with Forced Air or Heat. You will be provided space heaters in the winter and fans in the summer.

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced.

For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes unattended. If you plan to spend time away from your pet please find a doggy daycare. You can call our office for recommendations.

BEST BEACH VACATION EVER!!!

All I can say is... that this was one of our best family vacations ever. We stayed for a week. The condo was perfect for the myself, husband and son. Nadja was very kind to meet us upon arrival and show us the place. The view was amazing! There were seals right outside of the condo. PERFECT weather the whole time we were there. Shops and places to eat within walking distance. La Jolla was the perfect beach town to stay in. We absolutely LOVED our stay in La Jolla and at the condo. Couldn't imagine staying any place else. We plan to visit again next year. Hope the condo is available! : ) The Bilyeu's

Very disappointing and misleading

First the pros: The location was fantastic. If you like being right ON the ocean surf with waves crashing just outside, it's awesome! The pictures were generally accurate and it was clean and well stocked. Then the cons: 1) There was MAJOR construction every single day. The ENTIRE building was covered in scaffolding. The prop mgmt co said they didn't know about it/thought it was going to be done soon. It was NOT over and NOT done. Pounding every day at random times sometimes starting as early as 7:30 a.m.! And, there was a large BRIGHT construction light that was on every night on the scaffolding shining right into the unit. If I had been told (as I should have been) that there would be construction, I would NEVER have rented it. Having to sit with the doors and windows closed due to the noise, sweltering, in order to have a conference call, was just miserable. After I complained, the prop mgmt company gave me $1000 back - a small percentage of the $6,000 I paid. Again, I would NEVER have rented it had they been honest about the construction. 2) After the 3rd day, I was so ill, I couldn't get out of bed. Finally diagnosed with allergy to mold so I had to go buy an air purifier. If you're at all sensitive to mold, be aware you will definitely need an air purifier. Mine helped a lot! 3) Apparently, the fine print on the website does say that the one balcony shown is open for everyone to use. Please note that really means that EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, there is a party 3 feet from the head of your bed until at least 10 p.m. Again, I wish I had known that I would have people who sit 3 feet from my bed drinking and eating for hours, and they can and do SEE IN TO the unit!! Very uncomfortable and weird, especially for a single woman. . The construction workers even had lunch there, staring into the unit!

An Amazing Beach House!

You can’t beat the location of this beach house! My 11 year old daughter and I stayed here for 5 weeks. My daughter loved her “room” which was the perfect size for her. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views were unbelievable. The only drawback for me was the parking spot with an SUV. I scraped my car up pretty badly trying to get it in the spot. It’s really better for a smaller car, not a large SUV. I was able to find street parking within a short walking distance though. Just a heads up if you drive a larger car! But, that was the only hitch. It’s an adorable property and very close to downtown La Jolla. I’m going to miss this place!

I found the location ideal. Southern California has a lot of people and traffic - yet when we were here we felt isolated from all of that. It was nice to step out on the deck and photograph the moon setting over the ocean or the sunset at night. It is small but perfect of us - the owner couldn't have been nicer - we had everything we needed.

Heavenly Vacation on the Beach

This was a beautiful place to spend a month on the beach. The location is great, you get the best of all worlds with the tide pools out the door, and the sand a few steps away. We found it to be enough space for 2 adults and 2 children (11, 9)as long as we kept our stuff put away. The beds were all very comfortable and everything is new and in great condition. Nadja was wonderful to work with, so welcoming, and she made sure that we had everything that we needed. It was nice to have wifi and a land line phone available, as well as a parking spot. Having a private balcony is a huge plus, and you can't get any closer to the water. We really enjoyed walking into the village to eat or shop and loved the boogie boarding at the beach a few steps away. The waves are a little rough for small ones there, so we occasionally made the quick trip over to La Jolla Shores. We enjoyed long walks south on the beaches, or north along the coves. We hope to come and enjoy this beautiful condo again, and highly recommend it!

Outstanding Location, Small, but beautiful and truly beachfront

We stayed here for one week early May 2013 and it was a great finish for a 8 week trip to California and Hawaii. My wife and I stayed here together with our 2 sons, 6 years and 14 months old. Nadja as owner was well organized and gave us a warm welcome. Everything was in excellent condition, apartment was well equipped, properly cleaned and fortunate for us there were also not many items in reach for our younger son. Our older son enjoyed having his own small room and being so close to the beach. We could even let him go alone and watch him from the balcony. Our younger son enjoyed staying and walking on the balcony which is absolutely secure even for small kids. Immediately below the balcony are rocks, but just walk 5m more and you have small nice sandy beaches and if you walk further 100m there is a long sandy beach as well. My wife and I enjoyed staying on the balcony for the sunset, beautiful. We can highly recommend this apartment for every couple (it would have been also great for my wife and myself without kinds) or family with 1 kid, with 2 kids only if the second one is still very small, otherwise it will be a bit tight. The only thing which would have been nice for us would be a crib for our baby. In any case the perfect setting never let us think of having too few space. La Jolla itself is also a perfect location to relax, shop, dine and do sports. I went running along the beach, possible in both directions, there is a nice big outdoor swimming pool not far away, and I even rented a racing bike in La Jolla to go around San Diego. Again: Excellent location. Truly beachfront. A dream came true to stay so close to the beach. Thank you Nadja ! Erik

Amazing location, lovely apartment.

We absolutely loved this apartment.The location is simply unbeatable. We would wake up every morning to the sound of waves crashing, and spend breakfast watching seals and pelicans and (with the binoculars!) spotting whales by tracking the whale-watching boats! You're completely surrounded by the ocean, and it's just fantastic. The apartment is walking distance to supermarkets and bars and restaurants, but we also ate in several nights. The apartment is really well-equipped and perfectly designed to maximise the space - it's ideal for a couple or for two people sharing, or for a couple and child. It's very quiet, very clean and feels very secure.Nadja was very accommodating and helpful about arriving and checking out, and the apartment is so well-equipped that we never needed to ask about anything. I'd certainly stay here again if I were in La Jolla in the future, and I'd recommend it to friends (even though I'd be very jealous...).

Absolutely perfect!

My husband and I have just returned from a week's stay at this wonderful rental. Thank you, Nadja and JF, for meeting us at the door and showing us our accommodation. The apartment is lovely - colourful and funky, and very clean. Hanging over the beach and in the perfect part of town, we sat in the sun and watched surfers, pelicans, whales, and seals cavort outside. We could not have asked for anything more! Parking underground, an extremely comfortable bed, walks, shopping, fantastic restaurants, floor to ceiling windows - all added up to a wonderful and relaxing time. We found it very difficult to leave this nirvana for San Diego and other adventures. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone, specially those loving a clean beach, tidepools, and a view of psychedelic sunsets. Just don't book at the times we wish to return!

Great place to get away and relax

We were on our honeymoon we could not have picked a better place to stay. Its location, price and size were all perfect. Very quite other than the waves :). Even though we rented a car we walked everywhere and enjoyed the ocean all day long. The kitchen is perfect and has everything to prepare meals so you don't have to eat out every meal. There are markets and great little restaurants around the corner. Everything you need is in the little apartment. Very clean, cozy and wonderful place to get away and relax. The owners are very hospitable, no issues and they answered all our questions, opened up the door when we arrived with a bottle of champagne in the fridge. We will use it again, we loved La Jolla and the Apt. on Coast Blvd *We even saw 4 whales and countless dolphins from the deck with our morning coffee!! **the only thing that it doesn't have is a little couch or oversize chair to cuddle on while reading or watching a movie.

True oceanfront

My wife and our 4 month old twins stayed for a week over Thanksgiving. Nadja immediately told me prior to booking that there was not an oven to cook a turkey. This showed me her honesty which continued with her answers to the multiple questions that I had prior to arrival. We traveled with a roof top rack which she told me wouldn't fit in the garage and that she'd meet me on arrival and park her car on the street directly in front so that we could have her space! The pictures are spot on and we spent tons of time on the deck staring at the ocean. Daily we'd see sea lions and surfers. I could even see surfers catching waves from the kitchen. At night there is a spot light from the top of the building that lights up the beach but the deck was still dark so we could sit there without being seen. We put our two pack and plays in the bedroom and used the space heater to keep the twins warm at night. There was plenty of room for them and still enough room for us to tend to them in the bedroom. Laundry room was 20 feet away from the door to the beach so even though it wasn't in the unit it was not burdensome. Perfect for the daily laundry we did for the twins. With the twins we didn't go out much except for walks on the beach but found El Pescador Fish Market to be our favorite place to eat. The location is hard to beat, view is impossible to beat, and the only complaint I have was the ocean was too loud even with the doors closed!!!! I wasn't sure if the ocean or my twins woke me up at night.

GREAT LOCATION. RELAXING STAY

My wife and I stayed for a week (Oct. 6-13th, 2012). The location was great. The sunsets were terrific. The condo was clean and in good condition. We seen seals swimming past everyday while we were sitting on the deck. It was nice to be an easy walking distance to shops and resturants. I would recommend staying at the condo.

Perfect Vacation Spot

We recently returned from a week long stay there and couldn't have asked for a better accommodation or location. The apartment is beautiful and has an amazing balcony which is only feet from the water. The views are incredible and it was nice to be able to walk down a few steps and be right on the beach. There is great surfing right outside the door and a nice sandy beach to relax on. It is located in the perfect town away from the crowds of a traditional tourist trap. There are lots of nice yet reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance, minimal traffic, and plenty to do and see. We did several activities such as paragliding, hot air ballooning, and rented bikes and surfboards. The owner is very nice and helpful with advice on things to do and see and provides everything you would need to enjoy your stay. The price is also very reasonable for this unit and was less than staying in a quality hotel and provided an experience much more like home. It is perfect for a romantic stay or for a family.

La Jolla Beachfront

We had a great time and fully took advantage of the location of this property. We have 7 and 8 year old boys and they had a wonderful time. Starting with exploring the rocks down below, searching for shells and looking for hermit crabs. At night they would beg to walk down the beach to see the seals and get frozen yogurt. I saw dolphins from the porch! We ate fish from the market down the street and went to the farmers market on Saturday. All within walking distance from the property. The condo was clean and set up so that we were able to stay organized even in such a small space. We had a great time.....

Best beach vacation ever

We had an amazing family vacation in La Jolla this year, centered on this beautiful beachfront condo which provided the perfect space, comfort, scenery and tranquility we were looking for during our stay. The Perfect Location and Condo

My husband, daughter and I so hated to leave this wonderful place! The condo was well appointed, beautifully decorated and perfectly located. We enjoyed daily tide pooling right outside our door and were thrilled to discover three great sea slugs (or sea hares, we learned) along with the many crabs, snails and anenomes. It was fun to watch the surfers outside our window and seals swim by regularily. We were close to the seal and sea lion beaches as well as the lovely shops and great restaurants of beautiful La Jolla. We loved Cody's, Marrakesh, and especially the Coast Toast at Brockton Villa. Von's is a nice grocery store within walking distance, so we had serveral meals in the condo using our great little kitchen. Access to San Diego and attractions was fast and surprisingly easy. The owner was a pleasure to meet and work with, so pleasant and professional. We would love to return to La Jolla, and when we do, we could not imagine staying any where else!

Incredibly Beautiful Retreat on the Ocean

We just returned from an eight-night stay and cannot wait to go back. First of all, I have to mention what a pleasure it was to work with the owner. She is kind, smart and was always thorough and quick to communicate. From the moment I contacted her, I got the feeling this place would be really special. WOW, was I right. The apartment is steps from the ocean with expansive, breathtaking views. The time I spent on the balcony taking in the sun and ocean was blissful. Off the north balcony, there’s even a stairway down to the rocks if you’d like to take a stroll. At night, we loved breathing in the fresh air and falling asleep to the waves crashing. There are motorized hurricane blinds that can be lowered, which provided security. I was blown away by the time and creativity that was put into this home. I loved the gorgeous custom art and sleek furnishings. And, something that’s not seen in the photos is a large, flat screen TV, DVD player and two of the comfiest chairs I’ve ever sat in. The reserved underground parking space was really nice and convenient, too. We never worried about parking. This place has it all!

Absolutely Perfect

My stay in this incredible home overflowed with joy and beauty. The ocean is literally right outside the door, and it filled my days and nights, since there is such an unbelievably expansive view. I awoke to the pink of sunrise tinting the waves, and ended each day on the deck, immersed in a glorious orange sunset. Meanwhile, my ears were filled with the songs of the waves and my eyes watched as the pelicans skimmed down to fish while the surfers rode beneath them. There is a fabulous beach just steps away in one direction, perfect for a morning walk, and the thrilling seal beach is a short walk the other way. Don't miss the seals because they are so wonderful and funny. An amazing treat! Another short walk brings you to Pearl Street, which is filled with great restaurants. I became addicted to the fresh fish at El Pescador. If you go, be sure to try the calamari steak sandwich. Everything inside this perfect home is touched by artistic sensibility and brilliant design.The unit is like a collage of beauty, art, fine accessories, and clever placement. The Owner's bio says she is an artist, and her talent is evident. I have never been so happy and felt more at home than I did during my stay here, and I cannot wait to come back. p.s. I used the Salem Transportation Company for airport transport and a ride to and from the (fabulous, successful, fun) whale watching expedition. They were professional, reliable, and much cheaper than a taxi. I never once wished for a rental car while I was in La Jolla, where everything you could wish for is within walking distance, including the Ferrari store if you have platinum tastes.

THE VIEW! THE LOCATION! PERFECTION! I can't recommend this condo enough. We spent many hours sitting on the deck, watching dolphins, seals and surfers. It's the perfect place to relax. Million Dollar View

Location, location, location! We enjoyed the condo so much, the jeep wrangler we rented to sight-see remained in the garage most of the week. Our favorites were being lulled to sleep by the ocean, watching seals off our deck, walking to charming coffee shops and restaurants, searching for sea glass, exploring La Jolla and incredible sunsets. The owners were great to work with--reservation and refund was easy. We will be back.

Charming On a Great Beach!

My husband, 13 year old son & I really enjoyed our time at this cute studio apartment! We could walk to the village or up to the grocery store easily (if you like to walk). The best part was how close this is to the ocean - it literally hangs over the beach and rocks below. We could watch the surfers come & go from our balcony. Fabulous waves and skim boarding just to the left. We ended up canceling all other plans and just staying in La Jolla the whole time. Loved the artsy touches throughout. And that it was so well stocked with everything. Super clean - which must be a chore being so close to so much sand. We are ready to come back regularly!

Beautiful Beach Property

This beautiful place is right on the ocean. Staying here is like having your own beach house on your own private beach! The house is cozy and sweet. It was just the perfect amount of room for my husband and two children. Not only are you on the beach, but you are a few minute's walk from great La Jolla restaurants and shopping! We loved staying here, and can't wait to come back soon.

Gorgeous Scenic Apartment on the Beach

Loved the views!!! This charming apartment is in walking distance to downtown La Jolla where we found a variety of restaurants and stores galore. We enjoyed the walks on the bluffs, coves, caves, beaches and parks. There is so much to do, especially if you love the beach and water. At the end of the day we were glad to relax on our own private balcony where we soaked up all the fresh air and beautiful scenery. We will be back for sure.
