Beautiful, beautiful home. Lovely quiet location.

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful experience for our family. The home was beautiful & the thoughtfulness of providing everything we could need was exceptional.

Comfortable beds with extra air mattresses allowed us to sleep 10 easily & not just couples. Large open and bright rooms. Beautifully decorated for the fall. Very close to downtown but still off the main road for privacy & quiet. Large lot & porch for hanging around outdoors. Family of five deer (two adults, three babies) wandered through the yard in the early morning.

Everything you could wish for in a stay & so much more space than an inn or B&B. I wish our stay was longer. Thank you so much for making this time special for our family.

I highly recommend this rental & I wasn't paid for my comments!!

Excellent home!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this home was perfect! As another review mentioned, the home has so much of it's original charm but also has enough updates to make you feel comfortable. It was well stocked with linens, towels, kitchen items, etc. The house easily slept 8 with plenty of room to spare. The enclosed porch opens to the main porch which gave us all room to spread out and chat. The kitchen island was also a great space for us to congregate. The location of the home was perfect. The area was quiet and serene, and we enjoyed getting dinner in the small town one night. I would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.

Thank you to Laurel for making the reservation process so simple!

Friends getaway

  • 5 of 5

We are a group of 8 friends. We did a two night stay at this wonderful vacation home. I have to say, all of us were super impressed with the property and the facilities provided. We did day trips to Letchworth state park and Watkins Glen and this was perfectly midway between these two places.

Laurel was very easy to work with and was prompt in replying back to any questions we had. Special thanks to her for easing out the process of booking :)

Each of us have a favorite part of the house. I personally loved the Sun room and Kitchen island.

We also took the recommendations for ice cream - Lynnie Lou's and pie - Monica's from the booklet of information that was provided, and they were the best.

We would happily refer this property to our friends who plan to vacation at finger lakes.

Keuka Lake Wine Trail Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the house last weekend for the Keuka Lake wine trail event, such a unique property. It was so large it easily accommodated 8 of us. The original woodworking throughout was beautiful and well maintained. There was a perfect balance between keeping the old world charm and making new updates. The updates kept us very comfortable, especially in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The "antique" microwave was great and we were surprised it still worked. The complimentary wine and snacks was a nice treat. The view from the house was gorgeous and it was so quiet and peaceful. No one else really on the street at all. We enjoyed going to the nearby falls, and the Hazlitt winery with our free passes. Would have been nice if the windows opened in the sun room (where they just stuck?). Overall, a very enjoyable visit.

Ski getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time at the house. Our three girls are between the ages of 19 and 29 (with one spouse) and can be hard to please but they all loved the house and want to go back again next year for another ski weekend. The location is great, not far from Bristol Mountain Ski Hill. The kitchen had a great set up so we could prepare food, enjoy a glass of wine and chat. The front enclosed portion of the porch was such a nice, bright room that we enjoyed quite a bit. The view of the valley and mountain was so peaceful. The first night we got there, we saw the moon rise over the mountain. It isn't heated, but we just took blankets out there and enjoyed the views. The winery is just down the road and the tasting room is open until 5 pm. There were wine tasting passes at the house which we used and enjoyed. One of the winemakers gave us a private tour of several buildings. Having wifi was perfect for the girls but they didn't spend much time watching tv or on the internet. We played some family games and it was a fun weekend for all of us!

Wine weekend with family

  • 5 of 5

This house was way better than we could have imagined. My mother traveled with us and did not want to leave. She fell in love with it. The property was well maintained and very clean. We were impressed with how many items were in the kitchen that made it feel like "home". We didn't need half of the things we brought! We are already scheduling our next stay now!
