A really nice place for people looking for a quaint stay who also don’t need a bunch of extra features. They place has everything you need and the communication with the owner is quick, so you don’t have to stress about any issues leading up to or during your stay.
Host was extremely gracious when we misplaced the house key, coming to our aid in about an hour. Kitchen utensils , cookware, and plates, etc. were adequate. For an older property, it still had charming details.
Upon arrival the house seemed super cute! I liked the layout and the house was very clean. The rooms were compete with bedding, extension cords, lamps, and everything you'd need! But as the evening went on we noticed ALOT of dead bugs, followed by having to kill 6-8 large spiders throughout our trip. I was terrified to walk around without shoes on.Then, 11pm rolled around and the tenants upstairs came home and began screaming profanities at eachother. We heard several F-bombs, and my kid was trying to sleep. But overall, if you're a single person, or traveling with a spouse this place is a great space! Especially if you don't mind spiders. The kitchen was great, the access to town was awesome, and the owner was super nice!
On a recent trip home to C. Springs to visit family, I found The Ivywild Den. I am totally in love with this little apartment and will make a point of staying here in the future. The house is located near shopping (for groceries and such), downtown is easily accessible, and I-25 (the gateway to EVERYthing in Colorado Springs) is literally right around the corner.
The way the unit is designed and decorated is quintessential Colorado with its brick and shiplap interior, the mixtures of metals and woods, barn doors everywhere, and big windows that let in all of that bright Colorado Springs sunshine. The southwestern, Native-American touches that always remind me of home are here: the dreamcatcher above the bedroom window, the dry grasses and baskets situated throughout, more wood and metal on the shelves, and even the colors of the wall art. It’s all here.
The owners have supplied everything you need to go about your day to day activities; if they haven’t provided it, as I mentioned before, you can quickly pick it up from the nearby Safeway or King Soopers. Speaking of the owners, they’ve been quick to respond to inquiries, have immediately shared information about the unit that might affect my stay, e.g., a slow drain that couldn’t be corrected before my arrival. They even offered to cancel the visit if I thought this new development might ruin my stay. You can’t go wrong renting this unit. Enjoy Colorful Colorado!
Stayed here with my son while my other son was attending hockey camp. The location was very convenient to where we wanted to go and where we needed to be. The driveway is steep, but doable in the summer. Winter might be a different story for me! The house came with everything we needed and the host was very quick in responding to any questions I had!
Communication with host was great and very easy. Good off street parking even with a truck. Easy to check in and check out. Comfortable setting and cozy bed.
