Close to all the great attractions, this house will immediately make you feel right at home when you walk through the door! The Cottage at The Woodburn Bungalows is a turn-of-the century, renovated home and has everything you need to feel cozy and comfortable. The bathroom is beautifully renovated with heated floors.

This cozy home is uniquely designed with interesting nooks and bedrooms that you will find super charming! The main floor features the bathroom, living room and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with new stainless steel appliances, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender, all the necessary utensils, cookware, a large selection of spices and complimentary coffee, creamer, sweetener, and tea. Follow the stairs leading to the laundry room and garden level bedroom. The lower bedroom has French doors that open onto the patio and nicely landscaped backyard.

A washer and dryer, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, an iron and ironing board are also provided for your convenience.

We are pet-friendly and accept up to two small to medium-sized dogs! For special situations, please get approval from us before booking. Thank you.

This home is the perfect getaway for family vacations, friend getaways, business/conference events at The Broadmoor, and other events such as The Fallen Fireman Memorial. Whether you want to stay for 3 nights or 30, we would love to have you! For stays longer than 30 nights, please inquire! Book for 7 nights and receive a 15% discount!

great location. the cottage was very clean and well equipped. However, the AC situation could use an upgrade and throw in a few games i.e., board games, puzzles, lawn games.to wrap it up. we would definitely stay there again.

Great little place amazing backyard

Perfect getaway

The house is the cutest cottage style. We were in town for a veterans motorcycle rally. We loved having a quiet oasis to go to in the evenings. If and when we stay in the springs again. We will look for this house first.

Great place and very well situated! Dog friendly with a large backyard. It's unfortunate that the previous people didn't clean their dogs pooh... Only downside is the awful humidity smell inside the house and the very old, small and uncomfortable beds.

Great Stay for Spring Break Vacation

We will definitely recommend this vacation house. It was very clean and nice. It suited us perfectly. It was close to all the attractions we wanted to see such as Garden of the Gods, Pike’s Peak, Manitou Springs, and Old Colorado City. It was close to lots of restaurants and shopping areas. John, the owner, was EXTREMELY helpful and he responded super fast to any questions we had prior to our arrival. He even had a detailed and organized binder that explained every aspect of his vacation home as well as eateries, shopping, and attractions. It was extremely helpful. We would definitely like to stay in this home on our next visit from Dallas, Texas.

Little Slice of Heaven

This was our very first venture staying at a VRBO property and boy did this spoil us for future stays! The Woodburn Cottage was exactly what we we had in mind for the week. The cottage was clean, cute and charming! We had our two Westies and they thoroughly enjoyed seeing the squirrels, raccoons and even a bear! All behind the glass windows, mind you! The accommodation was well stocked with towels, shampoo, body wash and coffee! The little “backyard” to the cottage was private and well kept—even had gardeners arrive to mow the lawn one day! Everyday we took a short walk to the shops for a little exercise and açaí bowl (Rush Bowls is the best!) or some retail therapy (Lululemon and Michael’s to name a couple). Also only 5 minutes away from The Broadmoor Resort—so lovely! We can hardly wait to return— This is a hidden gem and you will not be disappointed!

Summer in Colorado Springs

Overall the property was great. I only gave 4 stars for accuracy of listing because technically I guess it is correct, but one bedroom is a floor below the main floor. The listing says one bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. It is not clear that there is a flight of stairs for either bedroom. We probably wouldn't have rented this property if we had realized that stairs were involved with both bedrooms. My 80 year old husband had to lug our suitcases up and down those stairs.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The space was spotless and very comfortable. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, which made everything stress-free. This cottage was the perfect place. We traveled to Colorado Springs for our nephew’s wedding at the Broadmoor which was so close. In addition, however, we were so centrally located to the Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, the Manitou Incline, Pikes Peak Cog Railroad, Downtown Old Colorado City, Downtown Manitou Springs, Downtown Colorado Springs which we took advantage of. The cottage was clean, comfortable, quiet, enjoyed the backyard and the fact it was fenced in. We also walked to the Ivy School Brewery which was a plus. The neighborhood was walkable for exercising our dog. The kitchen and bathroom were modern and equipped with everything. This was our first trip out west from PA and we were so fortunate to be located so close to so many attractions. Thank you for hosting us.

In general, this is a cute little cottage. My husband was volunteering at the Broadmoor so the location was perfect. The property was not as clean as I had expected from previous reviews, however, I did reach out to the hosts and they were very responsive in addressing the issue. I think we maybe just had an off week with the cleaners. A couple of notes, the yard was great for our dog but the stairs to get to the back door are very steep so if you have an elderly dog who struggles with stairs you may want to consider this. Additionally, I am a very light sleeper and there must be a train crossing nearby as I heard train whistles several times in the middle of the night. My husband was not bothered by this and did not notice.

Outstanding Stay

The property is impeccably clean. The maintenance folks should be congratulated. The house is accurately described in the listing. In addition the thought that went into the detailed conveniences (new coffee maker, doggie bag dispenser, shower gel, ect) is the best if any place we have stayed.

Super Quiet

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip to attend a skating event at the World Arena, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect! The home was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed. The owners were incredibly helpful and communicative—especially when I realized I left something behind. So grateful for their kindness and quick response!

Greetings and welcome! I am a fifth-generation Colorado native and I have lived in Colorado Springs my entire life. The majority of my family also live in Colorado Springs or the surrounding areas.
For over 30 years, I have owned and operated a landscaping/grounds maintenance and property management business that cares for over 130 of the most beautiful estates in the immediate Broadmoor area.
I live just 2-minutes from The Woodburn Bungalows and I am personally available should you need me.

Why they chose this property

"The Woodburn Bungalows" (The front house and cottage in back) were built in 1924 and the architecture of these turn-of-the century homes had an eye-catching charm and interesting appeal. The property sat in a neglected state for many years. I believe most people who purchase investment property would have leveled the houses, only to build a modern looking site which would have lost the historic feel of the area. For so many years I had been drawn to this property and I thought about purchasing it. Finally, knowing the houses would be challenging, inside and outside, I purchased them in 2014. After 24 months of hands-on restoration, remodeling, purchasing new everything and installing the new landscaping, I listed them for sale. After just a couple of months, I took them off the market and decided to turn them into vacation rentals. The truth be told; I believe I became attached! When you pull in, immediately you are transported back to a different time and the property gives off such a positive, cheerful feeling. When it is quiet at night you can hear Cheyenne Creek and watch the deer and other wildlife wondering about. The house and the cottage each have a quirky charm all of their own.
