About Owner/Property Manager

First Tracts Real Estate and Rentals rose from simple beginnings, and has become a premier real estate business at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. Alumni of WVU, co-owners Peter Monico and Dave Simmons, with degrees in business/communications and business, worked for Playground Destination Properties, and gained knowledge and wisdom in the real estate market in our region. With three years under their belt, Pete and Dave branched out and created their own real estate business on the mountain.

In April of 2007, First Tracts was formed. Two years later we began the popular Rental Management division of the company, managing just a small handful of homes.

Today First Tracts manages over a hundred homes in a variety of sizes and neighborhoods, both on and near the mountain. With a dedication to exemplary guest service, First Tracts Real Estate and Rentals has become the best source of upscale vacation rentals at Snowshoe.

Great location, poor construction

Location is very convenient to slopes with short walk to Soaring Eagle lift. Accommodations were comfortable with ample room for storage of ski equipment. We were very disappointed by the apparent poor construction of these units. You can hear EVERYTHING the people in the adjacent unit are saying, even at a normal volume of speech. We had to listen to a young child scream ALL night. When that family left, we were then subjected to the terrible smell of marijuana coming through the paper thin walls from the unit next to us. For the cost of renting this unit, one would expect better. If some quiet and privacy are important to you, I would not recommend renting this unit or any units in this development.

FYI - I was asked by rental agency for my review but as of 4/5/14 they have not posted it on their website. Looks like only reviews with all positive comments are provided.
