Take in the ocean air and relax in a spacious private unit less than a mile from the ocean and two blocks from the Fiscalini preserve. 1 Bed, 1 Bath + Bonus room with futon. Full kitchen, Washer, Dryer, Private fenced in Yard and Balcony with views of the forest.

Live like a local and enjoy everything Cambria has to offer!

This private unit is located in the Lodge Hill neighborhood of Cambria, CA 3/4 of a mile up the hill from the ocean front Fiscalini boardwalk. It is centrally located between the ocean and downtown and a couple blocks from the Trenton Trailhead.

Guests will have fully hardscaped dedicated yard with BBQ and park bench, along with their own private entrance and balcony.

We had a very nice stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable and roomy with nice amenities. Entrance to the Fiscalini Preserve trails are about a block from the property and a walk to the ocean on the trails takes about 35 minutes. We would stay at this property again.

We had a great 9 day sunfilled stay ...a welcome reprieve from our Oregon rain.The apartment is in a great location,wonderful quiet neighborhood to walk our dog along with close acsess to town and the Fiscalini ranch.We had no need to contact the owner but knew from previous interactions he is readily available. We come yearly to Cambria and would definitely rent again if available.

We will try to stay here again. Very convenient to town and the beach. The property has beautiful gardens to enjoy with birds galore to view off the balcony. A plus is the stacked w/d with economy settings. It’s a challenge for those of us who live in a state that doesn’t care about recycling to know exactly what to do with our trash. A sign/s with instructions would be helpful. But we understand it’s another worry for the host. This is a most quiet neighborhood and we wish we could be permanent tenants

I choose this getaway because it is close to Fiscalini Preserve, which I love for hiking and birding. Plus, this particular property accepts dogs and I don't go anywhere without my doggo. I cook all my meals and the kitchen was fairly week equipped. Quiet and peaceful.

Great Accommodations Close to Trails

The Cottage by the Sea was perfect for the two of us and our dog. We were met on arrival for access to the property. Were were also sent a text with lots of recommendations for hikes, activities and dining. We had no need for any further contact as there were no issues. The Fiscalini Ranch Preserve was very close for hiking the dog. Hiking on streets down to the Bluff Trail, across and back was a nice 3.7 mile hike with some hills. The cottage was clean and inviting. The deck looks across to a wooded lot and was relaxing. We cooked a few breakfast and dinners in the kitchen. We had everything we needed. We BBQ'd chicken and corn on the cob down in the patio. The BBQ utensils were available in the patio. The king bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. There were two other beds for sleeping which we did not use. The bathroom was large and clean with a double sink vanity and a large shower. There were extra linens and towels available. We were overall very happy and would stay here again.

Cambria Weekend Magic!

This Cottage excelled in every way. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. This Cottage had everything we needed. Super clean and spacious. Within minutes we had our luggage put away in the large closet, bathroom (double sink), and dresser. But here's the best part...our host, Alex was generous and attentive. The TV's had every channel or App you needed to watch movies or your favorite shows. Incredible tranquility and quiet. We slept wonderfully on the King Size bed. Parking was "right there" and safe. Think about it - most hotels require parking fees, but not Cambria Weekend Magic. We made breakfast each morning and saved on going out. Minutes from Moonstone Beach and Downtown Cambria, as well as the wonderful stores, shops, and restaurants. On Friday night, kick it at the Cambria Lodge for Live music and dancing. I am in the 90th percentile of GOOGLE reviews. And I should not be telling you all this, but this is my highest VRBO recommendation. Everything worked. And there were all the supplies you could need to maintain the comfort and cleanliness of the home. Thank you, Alex. Sincerely, Martha & VictorSee you again soon...!

Greay stay in Cambria

We absolutely love the place. It was clean, as advertised and very close to downtown. One thing that i never thought about was the unit being on the second floor but we managed. Thanks, Alex, for the wonderful stay.

Wonderful spot in a beautiful location!

This property is in a gorgeous neighborhood on the ocean and within two blocks you are able to wander the Fiscalini Ranch property, which is stunning! The VRBO is great! Has pretty much everything we needed with the exception of some kitchen tools, but overall, we were super happy with our stay!

We had a great time

The apartment was in a great location for what we wanted to do and see. It was close to downtown Cambria and a few hiking trails. As well as close to other locations for visiting tourist sites, shopping and hiking. The apartment was fully stocked with dishes, towels, etc. (We didn't need a thing) It had a washer and dryer so we were able to continue our trip with clean clothes. We would definitely stay there again should be return to this part of California.

Peaceful Retreat

My life-long best friend had been facing ongoing stresses and issues for such a long time; the final straw was the recent passing of her closest confidant, her dad. Although she never complained, she needed a quiet, peaceful, meditative break from her very hectic life. Thank you so much for providing it with your lovely home! Though short, the visit was rejuvenating and exactly what she (we!) needed to face whatever is next in our respective lives. (I personally hope to return with my husband and daughter to this wonderful haven in the near future!) Many thanks!

Spacious & Clean

This property was spacious and very clean. It had everything we needed, for example: coffee, wine bottle opener, washer & dryer. We were surprised to see the bathroom was so spacious that it even had a double sink. The host communicated everything really well. Enjoyed our stay!

Great stay in Cambria

We have nothing but good things to say about Alex's Cottage by the Sea and Trails. The check-in process was easy - Alex even sends a video so you can see how to get to the entry. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we loved the deck and the beautiful, wide view from the living room windows. It was really nice to have a full kitchen, with refrigerator, oven, microwave, and sink. The location is great. Even though it's on a corner and Ardath Street does have a fair amount of traffic, it was never noisy or distracting. The Fiscalini Preserve is easily close enough to walk to and the property is a quick drive from businesses and restaurants in Cambria and close to Cayucos and Morro Bay. Alex is a perfect host, who communicates well and makes sure your needs are met, while still respecting your privacy. We loved our stay and want to return soon.
