Discover the ultimate lakeside retreat at Charming Beaver Cottage, previously known as Palm Peach. This 3BR/3BA was cleverly designed by the Beaver family. Enjoy the experience of a lifetime, and maybe, just maybe, spot an enchanting beaver or two. It's not just a stay. It's an adventure. Prepare for the best dam experience of your life!

THE VIEW
Be captivated by spellbinding views, right from where you're seated. In the winter and fall, you can see a panoramic view of Lake Chatuge. In Spring and Summer, your view of the lake continues to be breathtaking and expansive.

THE EXPERIENCE
Charming Beaver is nestled in a quaint dog-friendly neighborhood where walking (or waddling) is a part of every day. So relax in the soft plush beds, catch the sun rising over the lake, read a book on the stone patio by the outdoor fireplace, swing on the screened-in porch, soak in the hot tub, play ping pong in the rec room or just catch a show on any of the many smart TVs. These busy beavers have truly thought of every detail to provide you with relaxation and a remarkably outstanding experience.

- 1 cozy family room with stone fireplace, TV, direct access to the screened-in porch and an epic view (Edith recommends you open the double doors fully for the best-unencumbered view)
- 1 king bed in a large bedroom on the lower level with privacy, TV, a walk-in closet and double-door access to the deck and hot tub

THE GEORGIA MOUNTAINS
If you are eager to be as active as Julius Beaver, this cottage, the town of Hiawassee and the surrounding areas are an outdoor person's (or beaver's) dream. From hiking, canoeing, boating or playing pickleball, Justin Beaver, knaws the perfect activity for you and even offers concierge service. You will enjoy a small town without giving up your favorite fast food chains or coffee places (Hiawassee has Dunkin and Starbucks!). And Hiawassee has the best dam barbecue in the area.

* Gravel Parking. Paved road to get to cabin. Less than 5 miles to Hiawassee off of Sunnyside Road. We do not have access to the lake from this property but there is public access within 5 minutes.

** Upon renting we provide you with a full guide of the areas including activities, food, suggestions, etc. It is imperative to us that you enjoy your stay!

It was a lovely property. We had a slight hiccup upon arrival, but were promptly taken care of. The porch was all of our favorite. A new view everyday on the top deck. We had a fire outside one night and it was so cozy even sitting at the table. Just a relaxing time. We are planning on coming back.

We have stayed at Charming Beaver several times and it never disappoints. It has everything we need and always enjoy breathtaking views, hot tub and great porch just sit and relax. The only recommendation I would have is to try and get rid of the large spiders on the side outside of screened in porch. The web was huge along with several f the spiders. We will be back next year! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Hidden mountain gem

An excellent property with all the amenities. The hot tub was hot and clean. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the screened porch, and you are surrounded by trees. Almost like being in a tree house. Everything was very clean and the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking any size meal. Large screen TV's in every room. There is also ample parking for multiple cars. Christina was very responsive and helpful. This place is definitely on my short list for Hiwassee,

Incredible views and great location

Spent a great weekend relaxing. House was clean and had plenty of cooking tools to make dinner with. Will definitely come back when it’s warmer so we can enjoy the great patio and use the green egg!

Edith and Julius Beaver have been living on Lake Chatuge their whole lives. Edith's great great grandfather helped build the dam that formed Lake Chatuge so you could say that they began it all.

After many years of renting beaver lodges, the Beaver family is acting on the comments in their guest logs. Charming Beaver is their first accommodation on dry land. Edith and Julius Beaver along with their son Justin meticulously designed this 3 BR/3 BA cottage overlooking their previous home on Lake Chatuge.

Their favorite part is that being at a higher altitude than the dam they built long ago, offers panoramic views of the North GA Mountains and the town of Hiawassee.

**** These dam beavers are of course fictitious. Tom and Tina who really own the property have created a full-service experience with Charming Beaver including the mystical beaver family who started it all.

Why they chose this property

Our quaint neighborhood is friendly to dogs and beavers alike. Just take a stroll and you will be enchanted. Many rentals in Hiawassee are hard to get to (steep roads, bad paving, high up on a slope, steep parking, or just plain hard to find). Charming Beaver is easy to locate, nestled in a friendly neighborhood with lots of friendly full time residents who cannot wait to make your acquaintance.

What makes this property unique

One thousand beavers! No, really, we have a thousand beaver movie poster somewhere and probably hundreds of beavers decorating the place, all in good fun. We hope you enjoy our sense of humor as much as we enjoyed creating the beaver family that are your hosts throughout this experience. In addition to our unique decor, this property is also a gem with its majestic views of lake Chatuge and the GA mountains. We love the layout of the house and the comfort of the beds. We hope we dazzle you with all of the extra touches we also provide like complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, robes, starter coffee, our plex movie collection, a sound system that play everywhere on the property from your device, books, games, activities, etc.
