Really great experience for our family get away to Big Bear for a ski weekend. The location is perfect between the two resorts. The home itself is larger than the photos give it credit for it. It is well stocked and cared for. And the host is responsive and welcoming. All the things one is looking for in a comforting stay! Highly recommend and would welcome to come back at some point in the future.

Thanks for the 10/10! Stoked that the location worked out perfectly for your ski weekend. Glad you felt at home and had a great family getaway. Hope to host you again soon!
We stayed here at the beginning of last week and the cabin was sooo comfy and cute! We went in the jacuzzi every day. The host is very pleasant and communicative and checked in during our stay to make sure everything was okay. He even had spices and things like coffee filters (stuff we normally buy when staying at a rental). The kids took the 2 bedrooms upstairs and loved the whole place. My husband and I will definitely book this cabin again.

Thank you, Annette! It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. We’re so glad you enjoyed the cabin and the jacuzzi. We take pride in the little details, so hearing that the spices and filters came in handy really make me happy. We look forward to your next visit!
Cabin was clean and the kitchen was great. We brought our dog so we cooked in all week. Grocery store was not very far for anything forgotten. The only thing we wished for was a fenced yard to let the dog out. Still we enjoyed long hikes and the neighborhood is nice. All in all we enjoyed a pleasant week in the mountains.
The place is very nice, clean and it has everything that you will need during your stay. We were able to check in early which is excellent!
My daughter had fun playing in the snow at the backyard. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet and peaceful. We all had fun during our stay and will definitely come back.

Hi Stephen,
Thank you for choosing to stay at my cabin and for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you found the stay 'okay'; I truly strive to provide an excellent experience for every guest and regret that I missed the mark for you.
I truly wish you had reached out to me during your stay! I am available 24/7 to answer questions at any time, whether it’s helping with the TV or anything else. I take guest comfort very seriously and love being able to fix any issues in real-time so guests can get back to enjoying their vacation. I apologize that the TV was a challenge; I’ll look into providing a manual, though most guests find the standard Roku smart-app layout fairly intuitive to navigate.
Regarding the fireplace and heaters, I provide a comprehensive guest guide (sent via VRBO and available in the cabin) that includes specific instructions for these features. For instance, the fireplace is not meant for large fires; overstuffing is a safety concern and leads to the smoke buildup you experienced. Fire safety is no joke - I am glad the smoke detectors are working!
I also appreciate the heads-up on the microwave and water pressure. I am having those items looked at immediately to ensure everything is in top shape. Thank you again for your input, as it helps me continue to improve the guest experience. Sorry once again.
If you choose to stay here again, please reach out to me with any questions at any time. I am always available.
Our first impression was that the cabin was extremely clean. The kitchen implements were well stocked and covered anything that we needed. The furniture was very comfortable and the upstairs king bed was extremely restful and my wife loved the duvet. We thought the front porch chairs were inadequate, though. Overall, we will stay here again.
The house was great! Do want to note that the refrigerator was turned all the way down and took roughly 12 hours to cool off. We also bought some candles for the house due to smell... previous dogs maybe. I would book this again though. Great location and cute little cabin.

Sorry about the smell, Andrea. We definitely strive to keep it super clean. Let me know about the cost of the candles and I will be happy to refund you :).
For the fridge, duly noted. I will make sure it is colder going forward. Sorry about that.
Our stay at Plymouth Lodge in Big Bear Lake was truly delightful. The cabin offers a comforting feel with its wood-burning fireplace and open kitchen. After exhausting and cold days of skiing on the slopes and exploring the trails, the private hot tub provided the perfect retreat for relaxation, capped off with a nice fire before bed. What made the experience even more memorable was the fantastic time spent skiing and having a great time with friends in the Village. A solid 5-star retreat – we can't wait to come back.
