Lake Front Retreat at Cain Lake

We remodeled our family cabin on Cain Lake in 2021 and started offering it to guests on VRBO.
Extra love was put into this place as it has been passed down the generations. Open concept from the kitchen to the dining room into the living room overlooking the lake. Extra family room perfect for game night. Venture outside to the large deck surrounded by bliss. Take it all in down at the large dock with views of the rest of the lake. This cabin is not perfect but it is dear to our hearts so please treat it like your own.

Grad weekend stay

Our family had the best weekend together celebrating our WWU graduate. The house was perfect for our group, lots of space to sit together inside or outside for meals and games. We had everything we needed and the lake location was spectacular. Our hosts were very sweet, responding to any question quickly. Would definately stay again!

The “Cabin” is more like a house. The lake is breathtaking. The place couldn’t be nicer. We took 3 WSU students to play hockey against WWU. It was prefect! Thanks for sharing you beautiful place.

Gorgeous Location on Cain Lake

Lovely little home on the lake with gorgeous views. House is very clean, with plenty of amenities such as ping pong, game boards, shampoo/conditioner, coffee, fully loaded kitchen, and comfortable beds. Property is well maintained, and interior is nicely decorated. We enjoyed out stay very much and would higly recommend this property. Host was very responsive and communcated well.

Wedding jump off

The Cain Lake Retreat Cabin property was an ideal gathering spot to accommodate our out of town/out of country visiting family for our daughter's weekend wedding at a venue which was close by. We were fortunate to have perfect weather to enjoy the floating dock lake access , meals on the outside deck, plenty of outside lounge chairs and lawn space to play outside games. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The game room was very spacious! The hosts were very quick to respond to our questions and concerns prior to our stay! We feel so lucky to have found this spot!! Thank you Doug and Rosalee for sharing your sweet space! P.S. Loved the evening bullfrogs!!!!

Beautiful, bright, and well-appointed! Not really 3BR though...

We really enjoyed our time on the lake! The home had everything we needed in the kitchen, for entertainment, bedding was comfortable, necessary toiletries. The dock was brand new and was so fun to walk on and sit by the water. I did give it a 1/5 stars for accuracy of listing because when deciding where to stay, bedroom configurations are a very important, especially with kids. The "3rd bedroom/room" is actually a passthrough and the only way between the dining/living room and the rec room/other bedroom/other bathroom. Inside this passthrough/bunk room are also the washer/dryer, water heater, and some storage on the opposite wall, but not pictured in the listing. In addition to that mis-represented aspect, the bed in the room near rec room was described as a queen , but it was definitely smaller than our standard size queen bed at home. Both things surprised us when we arrived and it would have been helpful to know these things beforehand as we were trying to have quiet rooms for our kids and enough space for us to sleep at night.

My wife and I are retired and live in Sedro Woolley close to our son and his family. We still enjoy coming out to the lake cabin in between our guest's stays.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The cabin was built by my wife's father in the early 1960's. It was used as a summer retreat for the family for many years. After a complete remodel we are offering it to our guests to enjoy year-round.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our Cabin is located on the northeast side of Cain Lake. We have a beautiful yard leading out to our private dock. Great for fishing and swimming.
