With multiple porches, this home gives plenty of room for group gatherings! Easy paved access driveway!

This has been a family Montreat/Black Mountain mountain home for the past 26 years and is now a new listing available to be shared with you! This home is located right inside the Montreat entrance 3 minutes to Black Mountain town where you can enjoy shopping and dining!

There is a paved road and driveway leading up to Laurel Lie cabin. Upon arrival, there are 2 parking spaces close to the house for your use with a shared driveway with the neighbor with additional free parking on the culdesac.

There are two steps to get up to the front door and a smart lock with a unique code that will allow you to access the home.

Inside, the main floor boasts an open floor plan with large kitchen complete with everything you need to cook meals, if desired, as well as a Keurig, a regular drip coffee pot, and a tea kettle. There is an eat-in counter area with bar seating for 4, a large dining table for 6 and an outdoor farm table for 8 on the screen porch located directly off the dining area.

There is a huge family room with new Smart TV and log in available from owner to Netflix & Amazon, plenty of comfortable seating, a faux fireplace heater with remote.

There is a lot of room to swing and chat and just enjoy the sounds of the mountain. You can hear the babbles of Greybeard Creek from the 3 different porches and the screened in porch has always been a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy and rest from the worries of the world. There are new patio lights over the screen porch living area, a porch swing, and rocking chairs. The main level also has a queen bedroom located off the main living room with an ensuite bathroom with stand up shower, which is also accessible for guests from the hallway.

There are 3 levels to this home. Upstairs, you will find 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a master queen bedroom with private ensuite bath with stand up shower and a door that opens out onto the treetop deck that is shared with the secondary bedroom complete with a King sized bed. Enjoy a cup of coffee or some quiet time out here in this lovely space and rock to the sounds of the mountain or enjoy a little sunshine on sunny days! The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds, a pacnplay and toddler bedrail in the closet, and a shared hall bathroom tub/shower combo.

Downstairs on the lower level, you will find an additional sitting area with 3 comfortable chairs, a second TV with Roku set to guest mode so you can log in to your own streaming services. There are board games and books located on the bookshelf for your enjoyment! There is a bedroom with a King bed plus a twin size bed and a bathroom with stand up shower that is accessible right next to the bedroom. You can enjoy your own private patio space right off this bedroom complete with a seating area, patio lights, and coffee table. There is a charcoal grill you can pull away from the house to use, if desired. The washer and dryer are also located on this level right off the sitting area den.

Out the back door of the house is a hiking trail that goes down to the creek where you can take a swim or enjoy the paths around it. You can hike the entire nearby area trails from here with easy access into Montreat or up to Lookout Mountain, and for the more ambitious hiker, Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak on the East Coast.

Please note that this is still a family mountain home and it is used and loved by the owners who want to share it with you! We welcome you to stay with us and treat it as you would your own mountain home! We have things stored in the basement and under the porch and a few rooms reserved for owner's possession.
