Pretty views and upstairs rooms comfortable, beds and pillows cozy. Yes, the driveway is challenging to navigate and parking at the top was not a viable option. Would not attempt to navigate in ice or snow.

Hey Lorraine,
Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the views and comfort at Magnolia Mountain. We'll address the parking and driveway concerns to improve your experience. Safe travels, and we hope to see you again.
The view is wonderful, but the middle window is clouded. The two bedrooms downstairs had an awful smell (I believe from the garage)...it really made the downstairs unpleasant. We looked a moving but were unable. I would not suggest staying in this house unfortunately. The management company came out to check but were unable to help. We recieve a small refund but not enough when i the bedrooms were not really useable.
Rented this property for my birthday and brought some friends along. Everything was just as described, and there was plenty of space for my 5 friends to sleep. 10/10, would stay again.
Home was as appears in the photos. Well equipped. Everything we needed for a short getaway. Super location - hiked every day!

We are glad to provide you with a property with everything you and your company need. Thank you and we can't wait for your next hike while staying at one of our properties.
Beautiful property. The pictures definitely did it justice. The kitchen was beautifully and fully stocked. Convenient to Asheville and many stunning hikes. We would definitely stay here again.
The only caution would be not to bring more than one car as the driveway is quite steep, and there’s not a way to turn around with two cars.

Hey Alisha,
Thank you for your kind words and for choosing Magnolia Mountain for your stay! We're thrilled to hear that the beauty of our home exceeded your expectations and that the well-stocked kitchen added to your overall experience. It's fantastic that you found our location convenient for exploring Asheville and enjoying stunning hikes in the area. We appreciate your helpful tip about the driveway, and we'll be sure to make this information more prominent for future guests. We truly value your feedback, and we would be honored to host you again.
The views were even more amazing then the pictures! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was beautiful, sunroom was our favorite place. The driveway wasn’t as bad as we thought, we were able to get down and up with no problem. Only complaint was we thought the kitchen would at least have oil and some spices for cooking, so if you want to do any you have to bring those supplies. But it does have a fully stocked kitchen otherwise!

Hey Haylie,
Thank you for your review of Magnolia Mountain. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views and found the accommodations comfortable and well-equipped. We appreciate your feedback about the kitchen supplies, and we'll be sure to consider adding some basic pantry items for future guests. We hope you had a wonderful time and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Great view. House is set up well and has a good layout. The property itself inside is a bit tired and could use updating. The seals on some of the window panes also were broken and had moisture in between the panes. The basement had a very off-putting odor, so glad we weren't traveling with anyone who had to stay there. The major issue is when we first arrived -- after a 10-hour drive -- we discovered the wood floors were dirty, and not just dirty, filthy. We spent an hour and a half cleaning them by hand and using the Swiffer mop and a washcloth, which came up almost black there was so much dirt. Not acceptable at any time, but especially during COVID. Kudos to the housekeeping team, which was very responsive and sent someone out the next day to clean, but we would have preferred to have the place spotless when we arrived. Property management was also good to deal with.
Without the floor experience and with some updates and repairs, this would have been a 5-star experience.

Hello Dan,
Thank you for your review, and we apologize for any difficulties experienced with the cleanliness of the flooring upon entry. We understand how critical floor cleanliness is, especially with younger family members in tow. Following your feedback we had housekeeping go out the next morning to address the concern, but agree it should have been proper on your initial entry. We hope you otherwise had an enjoyable stay with us and thank you again for your review!

Not Clean and Odor
I was quite taken aback by the lack of cleanliness in various areas of the property. The first and most egregious instance was the shower in the basement level. It had hair on the floor and walls (including pubic). I had to clean it myself before anyone would use it. The floors on the basement level were not very clean, especially in the guest bedroom with the two beds. Dirty shoe prints were all over the floor. The smell as soon as you walked downstairs was quite putrid. It smelled of mold, mildew, and of the garage (which the one particular bedroom had been converted from). My young children refused to go down there because of the smell. My wife and I slept down there as my in-laws are older so we had them stay upstairs. We stayed in the bedroom that was previously a garage. The smell was terrible and the bed was extremely loud. So much so that we laughed out of disbelief when getting in and out of it. The windows on the back of the house on the first level were very dirty. Not only does that seem bizarre that they would be so dirty, but counterintuitive to the fact that this property boasts about its views. Hard to truly enjoy the view through windows that hardly or don’t seem to be cleaned. The deck should have also been swept off. I understand the property is in the woods, but still. The view from this property is fantastic, but it’s hard to fathom recommending this property to anyone.

Hello Bryan,
Thank you for your review, and we apologize for any cleanliness concerns during your visit. We will work with our operations team to investigate these issues and remedy them as needed. During your stay we had no calls or messages expressing a concern, and apologize we were unable to assist during your 4-day stay. Thank you again for your review and we hope you otherwise had an enjoyable stay.
Some friends and I had a impromptu 10 year high school reunion given that our school didn't actually have one. We had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed the house. It's a beautiful view and a wonderful secluded and relaxing place. Everything at the house was as described and everything was easy to find and figure out. We would absolutely visit again and recommend to others!
This house had gorgeous views of the mountains. The driveway was rather steep but we solved the problem by having one person leave their car at the space at the top and walking up instead of trying to navigate it each time we wanted to leave.
Came here for a weekend getaway with some friends. The house itself was beautiful. Fantastic views in The morning. Driveway is definitely tricky is you have a few cars with you but we made it work. Would definitely come back again
We spent 5 days with family, all adults and the house was just as advertised. Clean and had everything we needed to get started. The views are amazing and so relaxing. We spent the days hiking and spending time in Asheville. All easy commutes.
We played w the games in the closet, Winnie the Pooh memory game was the hit.😁
There are a lot of reviews on the driveway and yes it’s steep. However, we had no problem parking three cars(RDX,jeep, subaru) at the bottom. Most of the time we backed down the driveway and had no problems. Highly suggest backing down for easy pull out.
The only thing that should be fixed are the lights down the driveway.

Overall good experience
The group that I came with enjoyed the stay. Beautiful property! There were definitely a few things that I wasn't happy about to include the state of the grill. I had to go out and buy foil due to the rust on the grates in order to cook on it. The house also smelled like mold/mildew when we arrived.
I understand that there is mention of a steep driveway but some better pictures of it should certainly be included. I felt like that part was a bit of a trap. It should've been made more clear the state of Town Mtn Rd and how windy it is in addition to that driveway. However, we still had a great time. The property overlooks a beautiful view of the mountains so that helped with all the other issues we had.
Very Nice property with great location - but could use some fine tuning…
Very good location; interior of home open floor plan a plus; although as noted in the listing, driveway/access to the property challenging in good weather, imagine extremely difficult in bad weather.
House is very nice but would note the following at this price point:
*quality of all linens should be upgraded .
*kitchen should be better stocked with what I would consider basic necessities - e.g., tea kettle, serving platters, basic condiments
*exterior of home should be better maintained as it detracts from the overall appearance of the house when sitting outside.
*screens should be added to windows in the living room.
*wood-burning stove should be operational.
*increase lighting along entire driveway
Clean, nice and spacious house with a stellar view! The driveway is a just a little challenging but watch the video they provide and you’ll be able to tell if you can navigate it with your vehicle. Not really a problem but something to be aware of. We absolutely loved our stay.
