We provide you with everything you need, making it easy to take advantage of all the spectacular wonders of the North Shore, which are all within minutes of this prime location. Our 'Hala Hale' is a one bedroom, bungalow-style condo is located in the Princeville Resort community. Newly remodeled and clean, the condo has nearly every amenity: a good sized kitchenette with a counter dedicated for cooking, complete with sink, 2 burner cook top and cupboard space. The kitchen also has a microwave/convection oven combination, small refrigerator, toaster, blender, croc pot, coffee pot, electric skillet and more. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and unlike most one bedroom studios in the area, the bedroom is separated with walls from the living room, dining area and entry to allow for privacy. The condo is further outfitted with a large bathroom, a dining table that seats three, a sleeper sofa (queen), cable TV + Free streaming Netflix, Wifi and CD player/iPod doc/MP3 compatible stereo.

Tastefully designed, this upper story, bright and airy, 1 bedroom condo has a balcony where you can wake with the warm morning sunshine and views of the lush Java plum trees lining the pathway to Anini Beach right off your balcony (there is a peek of ocean view as well). This charming condo borders a beautiful golf course and offers privacy from other units. You can also take a dip in the pool which is just out the front door! Within a 5-minute walk you can access the primary grocery store on the North Shore, multiple cafés, restaurants, shops, post office, golf courses, banks and ATM’s as well as the local bus line. A short walk down the path in front of the condo will lead you to Anini Beach, with excellent snorkeling and swimming. Beautiful Hanalei Bay is only 5 min. away by car. A great place to walk, swim, boogie board or enjoy surfing from beginner to advanced abilities.

Paniolo Condominium Complex: The Paniolo Condominium complex is located in Princeville, a quiet resort community that is home to the Makai and famed Prince golf courses. Princeville is located on a bluff overlooking Hanalei Bay and offers spectacular views of Hanalei Bay and of the famous “Bali Hai” ridge that was made famous by the movie South Pacific. Princeville’s roads have many unpleasant speed bumps, yet Paniolo is the ONLY complex perfectly situated to avoid these monsters! Paniolo is a 5-minute walk from Princeville center where any shopping, eating or business can be accomplished. Hop on the Anini beach trail to get some exercise on your uncrowded path towards the beach. The condo is located perfectly for anyone who would prefer not to have to drive, with plenty to see and do on foot.

Just A Few Minutes Away: Start your morning with a 5-minute walk down the Anini Beach Path (or down Wyllie Rd) to the Westin where you can start your morning with a cup of freshly brewed cup of Starbucks coffee. The Princeville center also has great options for breakfast, coffee and smoothies.

The Magical North Shore:

The North Shore of Kaua'i is ideal for spectacular adventure and tropical escape. Kaua'i's dramatic landscape has been carved for centuries by water and the island's stunning scenery and misty cliffs are punctuated by cascading waterfalls with countless breathtaking vistas. The adventures available to you on this Garden Isle are endless; trek the Kalalau trail and be humbled by the deep ancient valleys, wash your cares away under a waterfall, take a surf lesson in beautiful Hanalei Bay, explore a river on a kayak or take a bird's eye tour of the island by helicopter. Get a thrill while checking out the sights from a zip line, ride a horse in the backcountry, or deepen your cultural appreciation while witnessing the preservation efforts of the awe inspiring, Limahuli Garden. The list goes further, with opportunities to visit sacred Hawaiian ruins, walk along white sandy beaches, take a boat down the unforgettable Na Pali coast, body surf in playful waves, snorkel with sea turtles or test your balance on a stand-up paddleboard. Find your own dream adventure, relax and take in the wonder of this magical island.

The location is quiet, full of flowers and beautiful landscaping. Perfect location. The condo had quality pots and pans, quality blender, coffee pot and toaster. Refrigerator was compact but fit all our food and I cooked every day.

Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Everything we needed was here. There's no A/C (many places on the island don't have A/C) but that wasn't an issue; the high ceilings, many windows, and fans kept plenty of good airflow; we even got a bit chilly at night. The extra amenities/equipment available for use were really helpful. Plenty of shops nearby (there's a Foodland member card that comes with the place, definitely use it as it'll save you money). Very comfy and relaxing, would stay again for sure.

Clean, and beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this condo. While it isn't right on the beach, it is still in a great location. We really loved Hanalei, and it was a beautiful 10 minute drive away. The condo is well appointed, and it feels like Lani and Sky really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They were great at communicating, answering any questions, and giving tips and advice on the island. I'm glad we stayed on the north side of island, I feel it is the prettiest part of the island, and staying up there made all the hiking and sight seeing we wanted to do easier. The biggest positive about choosing this condo for me was cleanliness. I read a lot of reviews while doing my search, and I don't think all of the condos are kept as clean and well maintained. We didn't see a single "palmetto bug" in the condo, and just two small little bugs and one gecko. For being on an island, this was impressive.

Perfect space to balance R&R with exploration Kauai activities.

  • 4 of 5

Much enjoyed my short stay at Hala Hale. My favourite R&R activity post island exploration was simply couch surfing while looking out the patio door to the swaying trees and listening to the sounds of the rustling leaves in the island breeze. The condo is well equipped, bright and inviting and in a great spot to enjoy North Side island adventures. Lani & Sky were very efficient when following up with my questions/concerns.

Thank you for sharing your cozy restful space Lani&Sky!

Great little slice of Kauai heaven !!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this cozy condo in Princeville. It has everything you need to make it feel like a home away from home !!! During our week, it was a little hot, so the fans had a hard time cooling down the condo/bedroom, but we were absolutely fine !!!!! Lani and Sky were always helpful if needed and we had an incredible visit !!! The area is great and green (we liked so much more than the dry side) and we will be back again one day !!! Thank you for your hospitality and for a wonderful Kauai experience !!!!!

As good as it gets!!

  • 5 of 5

The quintessential perfect set of hosts with accommodations and experience to match. From the moment you book, until you are getting ready to check out, the communication is very concise, clear and thorough. At any point, if I had even the slightest of questions whether it was suggestions for places to go due to weather, or where to find the best hikes that are off the beaten path, all I had to do was shoot a quick text and a had a response within minutes! The condo is around the corner from a convenience store, restaurants, Queens Bath, and just at the point before you drop down into the true north coast of Kauai heading into Hanalei. The condo is equipped with anything you could need: towels, full kitchen, super comfy bed, space to work (but why?!!), snorkeling gear, umbrellas, and the list goes on. It's very apparent that Lani & Sky are very aware of their guests needs and have taken every measure to accommodate as best they can.

About Lani and Sky

Hi! We are Sky and Lani and we graciously welcome you to our condo!

Lani has lived on Kauai for much of her life, and was born and raised near Tunnels Beach on the North Shore. Life adventures beyond the islands however, eventually brought her to the mainland and abroad. She spent her high school days in Santa Cruz California before turning interests towards colder climates and getting into skiing. Between travels abroad, Lani worked primarily in outdoor industries for the better part of a decade, mostly kayaking and skiing and living in amazing rural towns. One of her favorite of those towns was Jackson Hole Wyoming, where she lived for several years before moving back to Kauai.

Coincidentally, Sky was born and raised in Jackson Wyoming where he became an avid snowboarder in the winter, fly fisherman in the summer and world traveller whenever possible in between. Despite his mountain upbringing, Sky has always been a and a waterman and was inevitably called to a warmer climate.

Eventually island life, with its enticing warm water and fragrant trade winds beckoned both of us individually to the Garden Island of Kauai where we met in 2011. We've found a happy match as we are both very active and love to explore and laugh. We've found our perfect paradise here on Kauai and wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

As a team we really enjoy sharing what we love about Kauai with our guests and offer our local knowledge and recommendations in addition to providing exceptional quality accommodation. We want to ensure that our guests have as much fun and as little worries as possible on their visits to Kauai.

Lani and Sky purchased this condo in 2013

Why Lani and Sky chose Princeville

Paniolo is great for several significant reasons. One of the biggest is the convenience of the location. Princeville is filled with circuitous streets with major speed bumps that take a toll on island car. Paniolo is perfectly situated in a prime spot where we are able to avoid these confusing and speed bump littered roads. When driving into the Princeville community the Paniolo complex is the first group of buildings you will pass making it quick, easy to find and allowing you freedom from the Princeville traffic!

What makes this condo unique

Paniolo #211 is positioned strategically to be quiet. Some faint sounds of the cars during the day can be heard, but mostly the sounds of bird songs, warm trade winds through the Java Plum trees, and the waves on Anini beach are all thats heard. A quiet and peaceful unit this is!

Guestbook comments from the owner
