Esta casa de campo de playa tradicional de 3 dormitorios y 1. 5 baños, construida a principios del siglo XX, está ubicada frente al puerto de Wellfleet y la playa de Mayo. El primer piso tiene una pequeña cocina con comedor, sala de estar con otro comedor, 2 dormitorios, 1 dormitorio con una cama doble y una cama individual y el otro dormitorio tiene un conjunto de literas (dos camas individuales). como baño con bañera y ducha (el acceso a la bañera y al segundo dormitorio se realiza a través del dormitorio con literas). Hay una escalera muy estrecha que conduce al tercer dormitorio en el segundo piso, a nivel del ático, con 3 camas individuales. Está a 5-10 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad, a un paseo muy corto de la playa de Mayo, del patio de recreo de la comunidad y de las canchas de tenis, y a unos 10 minutos en coche de las playas del estanque y el océano. A nice summer house close to everything. We walked to restaurants, the pier, beach, market and shops. The house was clean and had a big backyard for barbecue! Overall it was excellent.

"Quaint House "

Very well maintained house built in the 1800"s. Wonderful location across from a bay beach, with beautiful back yard and long front porch . My family loved staying there .Well equiped,and had a washer and dryer! Easy walk to playground/ recreation center, restaurants, harbor and town center. (Stairs to the second floor would be difficult for an elderly person)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of four stayed at “Quaint Cottage” and were very happy with the rental! It’s about a quarter mile from the Wellfleet Harbor, within walking distance to our favorite restaurants, Bookstore & Restaurant, Mac’s on the Pier, and Pearl. The rental was clean and comfortable and the large screened in porch was one of our favorite amenities. The house does not have WiFi, which we didn’t know ahead of time, but we have an unlimited data plan, so that wasn’t an issue. Having the upstairs bedroom was great for the kids, although (as advertised) the stairs are steep and very narrow. Overall, it was a great property and we’d recommend it to anyone!

The quirks are that you walk through one bedroom to get to another -- and the stairs to get to the bedroom under the eaves are wildly narrow and steep. No WiFi, but our plan is unlimited data with hotspot so we were fine. I do wish the bed in the master bedroom were a queen instead of a double -- sigh. Overall, we didn't mind ANY of that, and instead loved so many things. The wraparound, screened-in porch means there's always a shaded, cool, insect-free spot to sit and relax. Notes are placed at various spots around the house to help explain how everything works! The kitchen is well-stocked. Fans are in every room (though I'm glad we brought extra ones during our hot week!). The upstairs bedroom has a fabulous view of the bay and utterly delighted my daughter; there's ample seating in the living room; a great outdoor shower; lots of private space in the backyard; the house is decorated with love; location is close to everything ... and so on. We found this house easy and hospitable, and enjoyed a lovely, restful week.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage by the Harbor. The cottage had all of the required and some bonus amenities and the location could not be beat. Great backyard, outdoor shower, wrap around porch, washer/dryer, short walk to the pier, several restaurants and downtown, plus the harbor beach directly across the street. We've been vacationing in Wellfleet for over 20 years on Kendrick Ave and this has been one of our favorite rentals so far. The only constructive feedback I'd like to offer is the cleanliness of home. I don't believe the property had been cleaned adequately, if at all over the span of several weeks. There was sand all over the floors in multiple rooms. The floors underneath the furniture had layers of dust, dirt and sand. There were multiple cobwebs throughout the home, the corners had human hair balls and dead bugs. There was an ant infestation of some sort in the kitchen under the sink and behind the washer and dryer. I ended up spending a few hours doing a thorough cleaning of the space myself, and although I didn't mind, I'd expect for the amount of money we spent, the place be more appropriately cleaned between rentals. Otherwise, we hope to return. It was a wonderful and charming home; location and we look forward to making more memories at this spot.

Quaint Cape Cod vacation

The house was in a great location for a relaxing getaway during the CoVid-19 pandemic. We had plenty of space for 6 people and the screened-in wrap-around porch provided a lovely breeze and was where we hung out most of the time we were home. Kitchen offered more than we've seen at other places, so we could easily cook most meals and eat either out at the picnic table or on the porch. Clothesline, outdoor shower, and grill were all perks we weren't expecting and really appreciated. House was in great shape and generally had great ocean breezes during a hot week. My concerns have to do with communication. I sent a message before our trip asking about linens and never received a response. When we arrived I called and emailed a couple of times with questions, also no response. I had to go to the OceanView Realty office to have my questions answered, which was frustrating. Also, the binder in the house had no information that would be useful to a traveler. Information about obtaining beach stickers, where those beach stickers are used, accurate trash and recycling information (we had outdated info in the house), and travel tips about beaches, places to see, and restaurant information were all missing. The binder had detailed information about plumbers, handymen, and how to open and close the house for the season, and a rental contract from 2009, but nothing for the week-long renter, including contact information for the owner. It's a great house in a great location, but the lack of useful information and the lack of a response to calls, emails, and VRBO messages were frustrating. Fortunately we have traveled to the Cape before and knew some of how to get around, so we had a great vacation. Also, this house does not have wifi, which is hard to believe in this day and age and is definitely a downside.
