About this property
Prairie Breaks Ranch & Guesthouse
Enjoy world-class hunting for upland gamebirds and big game in northeastern Montana at our guesthouse specifically designed to accomodate traveling hunters! This newly updated 4 BD/2 BA house with 7 comfortable beds is on 10 acres in a quiet and scenic area along a cottonwood-lined creek, just a few minutes from Glasgow. The house is centrally located to tremendous hunting for pheasants, sharptails, Huns, mule deer, WT deer, antelope, elk, and waterfowl. Come enjoy a glorious autumn! The two-story house features a spacious kitchen, four bedrooms including a cabin-like master loft and three downstairs bedrooms, laundry room with washer and dryer, and two updated bathrooms. The signature feature is the roomy kitchen with a teak wood dining table and 8 chairs, perfect for cooking and dining as a group after a day of enjoying the abundant recreation the region has to offer. The kitchen includes new refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave, pots and pans, coffee maker, Kuerig, and other extras accented by new countertops and northeastern Montana-themed decor. The home includes 7 comfortable beds with new pillows, linens, blankets, and comforters. Our place is designed for hunters! We cater specifically to upland gamebird hunters with an enclosed chainlink dog kennels outside and a closed-off mud room inside in which dogs can stay in their crates. The property has plenty of room to park multiple vehicles and trailers. We offer a stand-up freezer in which birds can be frozen for transporation at the end of the hunt. The newly updated interior of the house coupled with the quiet and scenic natural surroundings collectively provides an incredible relaxing vibe. It's common to watch willdife, including mule deer and pheasants, outside the kitchen window while drinking the morning's coffee. The space is perfect for hunters but is also ideal as a base for ice fishing excursions on Fort Peck Lake (25 minutes away), or as a place for families engaged in hockey and other events. We've owned and enjoyed this special place for over 20 years and it's truly a happy place! Guests have full access to the entire 2,200 square foot house (except a couple locked closets). We also encourage you to enjoy the deck, front and back yards, and complimentary dog kennels. The property offers great views so be sure to take in a sunrise from the deck or sunset from the back yard! The property is located along Cherry Creek just five minutes from Glasgow. It is an extremely quiet and scenic rural area with a beautiful cottonwood-lined creek, riparian areas, irrigated pastures, and lots of wildlife. Hiking is available on over 1,000 acres of public lands featuring gorgeous prairie breaks views; the public access point is only one mile from the house. The neighborhood also includes a roping arena and a golf course. Take leisurely strolls through the neighboorhood on the gravel county road, including up to the trailhead for a wonderful public lands hiking area. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and trailers on the property. We welcome you to bring your pets and are specifically set up to accomodate hunting dogs with our outside kennels and heated mud room. However, dogs or other pets are NOT ALLOWED in the house. Feel free to bring your crates into the mud room, but absolutely no dogs inside the house. We have lots of room outside but please make sure your dogs stay under control at all times
