Rent with confidence! My friends and I rented this house for our annual friend weekend and it was wonderful! The pictures don’t do this place justice. The house was clean and big, the views are stunning and Logan was very responsive when we had a question or concern. You need a vehicle with 4WD or AWD to rent this place but, as long as you have that, don’t fret, the hills aren’t intimidating. We would definitely rent this place again!

Thank you William! We appreciate your kind words and so gad that you enjoyed your stay.
We wanted to get away from the crowds and heat of July 4th week. The house is on top of the mountain at almost the end of the road and the views are amazing. Beautiful cabin is well appointed and well maintained. Hiking at Stone Mtn nearby was great as was kayaking the new river just north of the area. Great ice cream shops in Hays and at the base of Stone Mtn were worth the stops. Overall a great place to relax for a few days of peace and quiet but still close to outdoor activities for daily adventures.***VRBO was having technical difficulties with our reservation, but the property manager Logan was great and handled our check in personally to insure we had access to the property at our check in time and had a wealth of knowledge about the area.
This cabin was amazing! If you’re are scared of driving up a mountain I do not recommend this cabin. I missed the part of the description that said you needed to have a 4x4 vehicle. We only rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee which was NOT 4x4. My husband is a great driver and is used to driving on that type of terrain so it wasn’t an issue for him. I would
NOT drive up or down the mountain. It was incredibly peaceful, tastefully decorated and so cozy! The only other issue we had was using the steps at the front of the house. My husband has Muscular Dystrophy and those little steps were not so little to someone who struggles to walk. Thankfully I was able to make a ramp with some wood I found out by the shed. The night we got there I reached out to the property management company that rented it out to us and explained that I don’t know if we would be able to stay there. He was FANTASTIC and offered to bring a real ( not a homemade one like mine) ramp up to us. Thankfully my engineering skills came in handy and the ramp I made worked well enough to get by for a few days. He was incredibly helpful and was even willing to find us another rental in town if needed. Thank you so much!!
