About the property

House: 5 Bedrooms, 4 Baths (sleeps 12). Sep. Attached Apartment (sleeps 2-4)

Charming, expansive, 4,000 sq. foot historic post & beam farm house set on 165 bucolic acres in the heart of the Berkshires featuring a large brand new gourmet kitchen. Enjoy entertaining in the enormous 'great room' featuring cathedral ceilings, field-stone fireplace and original chestnut timbers. The master suite with private bath and claw foot tub overlooks rolling hills, pastures, horses, and a babbling brook for swimming or fishing. Sip your morning coffee or a cocktail on the back porch while unwinding to breathtaking sunsets and mountain views. Gentle breezes will greet you while relaxing, reading or dining on the screened-in porch. Hike, bike or leisurely stroll the grounds. Our farm is located in the quaint, hinterland village of Tyringham a short distance from everything the Berkshires has to offer including Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum, Botanical Gardens, theatres, stages, fine eateries, boutiques, shopping outlets, golf, tennis, swimming and boating.

The property abuts the Appalachian trail perfect for hiking or camping. Take your bikes and cycle down picturesque country roads or walk to the town's natural swimming pool. Enjoy fall foliage and during the winter months click into your bindings for the perfect downhill or x-country skiing, snow shoeing or snow mobiling. Year round -- toast marshmellows or snuggle by the cozy stone fire-pit outback. Create your own adventure!

There's plenty of space, peace and quiet for everyone. If you must work, close the office doors and surf the net or if you're hoping to catch the next ball game or latest flick -- flat screen tv's and satellite programming are at your fingertips.

Take a moment to browse Camelot's 4,000 square foot post & beam barn built in the 1800's -- perfect for entertaining or hosting your very own square dance. A country stable with stalls and turn-out available for horses with endless trails for riding. Attached in-law suite available for rental at an additional cost. Please inquire about our rate for the attached in-law suite.

Unfortunately we do not allow weddings. Barns are not included in rental.

Wonderful Place for a Berkshires Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this lovely home for a girls' getaway weekend, and we had a fantastic experience! The house is beautiful with a newly renovated kitchen and great room downstairs and a lovely master suite upstairs. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us with ample bedrooms, a few different sitting areas, and a great kitchen and dining area. The great room was perfect for cozying up by the fire, and Don and Emily could not have been more helpful and hospitable. Plus the location of this spot can't be beat. It's only a few miles from the highway, grocery, liquor stores, etc and close too all the towns the Berkshires is known for. We visited Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lenox and Lee all in our short weekend trip! We highly recommend this spot!

Amazing, lovingly restored gorgeous luxury farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

We spent Christmas week 2013 in this house with our grown children. We often take family vacations to far-away lands where we stay at five star hotels. The week we spent at Camelot was among our favorite family vacations. All five of us loved it! First of all, the house rivals any luxury hotel we've stayed in. The owners have restored this old farmhouse with impeccable taste, guided by both comfort and gorgeous aesthetics. The photos on the site don't do it justice. It is just so beautiful, inside and out. As for outside...the house sits on many acres, surrounded by rolling hills and the Appalachian Trail in the backyard, along with stables with beautiful horses roaming around. What a divine setting!

We spent the days skiing, hiking the Appalachian trail in the backyard and exploring the area. We spent the evenings cooking delicious meals in the stunning kitchen, playing games and reading by the fire. All in all, an incredibly relaxing, rejuvenating week!

The owners are as gracious and welcoming as their gorgeous property. They were delightful to deal with, checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable, left lots of information and made us feel completely at home in their beautiful farmhouse. We all can't wait to go back!

Perfect spot for a family celebration!

  • 5 of 5

We surprised my father-in-law for his 60th birthday with a fun-filled weekend on this beautiful property with all his kids and grandkids! The house was lovely and a perfect size to accommodate our large group. The kitchen/family room area is ideal for us all to be together - some cooking (loved the kitchen!), some playing games (or just staring out at the beautiful view!), some sitting by the fire talking and watching the big game. And the possibilities were endless just right outside our door. The kids loved seeing the horses and sledding on the nearby hills. We also had great hikes and couldn't believe how close and easy it was to access the AT. Don and Emily are wonderful people and were so thoughtful. We're already ready to come back!!

Clean, Close and Accommodating!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place in the Berkshires. Everyone loved this comfortable and well appointed home. Our children spent hours exploring the property - we loved that they were outside so much playing like kids! They were ready for bed after making smores at the campfire. Couldn't ask for a better way to spend "family time." The grocery store is right down the street and there's a ton to do in the area if you want to. Great spot. Thanks so much Don and Emily!

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough about this property and it's owners - truly spectacular! Stayed here for a get together with alot more friends than I could accomodate in my own home. I'm a Berkshire "native" and very familiar with what the area has to offer and this is by far one of the best rentals if you have a large group who wants to be comfortable, have plenty of space to socialize, cook fabulous meals, enjoy the outdoors and be close to cultural attractions. Although I must warn you, you may not want to leave! Spread your blanket on the lawn outside the amazing barn, get ready for a stunning sunset, tune into NPR and listen to a live broadcast of the Tanglewood concert - no tickets necessary! Thank you Emily and Don for a most memorable stay. This property has so much history, charm and personality - you won't be disappointed.
