Beautiful and contemporary 4 bedroom home located on a private cul-de-sac just two blocks from the beach. This home backs up to the Wild Dunes Golf Course and offers relaxing views of the local marina, Morgan's Creek, and easy access to the IOP Boat Ramp. The owners have recently redecorated this wonderful island home with all new furnishings. Features include: Hardwood floors throughout the first level, a large Living area with 60" flat screen TV/ DVD and private den with flat screen TV, Queen Sofa Bed and a bar with Mini Fridge. The dining room seats 8 and the kitchen comes fully equipped with a breakfast nook holding additional seating for 4. Relax along the screened porch, sun bathe on the master balcony or cookout with the Charcoal Grill! This home also provides a Collection of Games, Pack n Play, Aero Bed, Washer/Dryer, 2 Car Garage with room in the driveway for small boat, and an Outside Shower under the home. Linens included (except for Pack n Play & Aero Bed). WIFI. No pets allowed.

My family and I had a nice time at the property. It was a good size that accommodated us quite well. The only drawbacks were that there were no trash bags (well 1 in the whole house) and the trash can outside was filled to the max. The dishwasher detergent and dish soap were tiny and a weird brand. We felt that when we stay at airbnb properties that we never had to deal with this. Id recommend this property if those things were fixed.

Owner's Response: Each property comes stocked with starter soaps and trash bags, similar to what you would find a hotel room. Anything additional is at special request or at guest's leisure.

I have had 7 previous rentals from Island Realty and 3 at this property. This is the first time we have had issues. The first issue was 2 lights out in the master bedroom; bedside table, floor lamp. These were fixed on Monday after a call on Saturday. Only problem was turning out the overhead light when going to bed after reading but bulbs were replace. Also on Saturday had to call for a tea towel for the kitchen. Housekeeping dropped one off the next day. Other issues in the kitchen were no pepper in the pepper shaker or liquid dish detergent. Both were purchased at Harris Teater. The big issue was the clothes washer not working. Called on Tuesday night and Wednesday someone was to come to inspect it. However no further commmunication was provided to me and the washer never worked before we left on Saturday. We had to go to a local laundromat to wash work-out clothing. We also normally wash swimsuits and beach towel Friday evening before leaving on Saturday. This obviously wasn't accomplished. This was the first time I have had any issues with a rental . The other issue I had was the change in the law regarding parking on the Island. After receiving a $50.00 citation from the city for parking at the 42nd street parking area; an area which we previously parked without peril. I feel Island Realty could have been more pro-active informing their renters of the law change and what the change represented. A sign at the desk on sign-in day would have been helpful and having the staff provide information at that time would have been helpful. The result of this ticket will impact whether or not we vacation next summer on IOP or look for another island location where the local government is not out for additional revenue from tourists.

This house has potential, but was not exactly as we expected. It is very spacious. There were seven adults in the house, all with adequate sleeping arrangements, bathrooms, gathering space and private space. First, it is just a bit over a half mile from the beach. A doable walk, but you will need a cart of some kind if you like to take chairs, games, coolers, towels and toys to the beach. Second, it was not an uncomfortable space, but we never really settled in to it. It could use a really good cleaning; some fresh paint, flooring and kitchen. The pillows in the living room are stained and icky looking. They appear to have been like this for a while. The sectional was sandy (I know it is the beach); every time you sat on one end of the sectional you had to brush sand off the seat and arm. The outdoor furniture was stained and the whole porch just needs a good cleaning and fresh paint. We never really used that space. There were spills from prior renters that had never been cleaned. Not by the renters, not by the cleaning service. The kitchen cabinets were gritty inside and had an odor. We would rinse dishes before every use. The refrigerator struggled to get back up to cold and maintain the cold. The carpet in the master bedroom is old and stained. Third, the cleaning that happens between renters was not very impressive either. The coffee maker and toaster were sticky and greasy. We had to clean those before using. Bathrooms were well cleaned. Fourth, while there is a shower in the garage area, it is dark, damp and moldy. There was an outdoor faucet, but no hose. Island Realty is responsive to calls, we had some TV/Cable issues which were resolved the same day. They were professional, courteous and efficient as check in/out.

We had a fantastic stay at this home! It was very accommodating and provided many areas to gather and relax. The flow of the home was great! When we checked in, there was a slight issue with a leak in the master bedroom but the Island Realty team went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was incredible! Michelle was so amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to others.
