Amazing and spacious house

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful home in Encinitas. The location was perfect — just minutes from the beach, great coffee shops, and local restaurants. The house itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We especially loved the outdoor space — perfect for morning coffee or relaxing in the evenings. The host was incredibly responsive and made check-in a breeze.Whether you’re looking for a beach getaway or just a peaceful escape, this place is a gem. We’d definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous House!

Our favorite VRBO rental so far! Cathy was an amazing host and was always very helpful. The kitchen was incredible and the house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the backyard. The house was very clean and tidy. Definitely want to stay here again and would highly recommend to others.

Leucadia Family Vacation

Beautiful and spacious home was perfect for a week's vacation with our daughter's family, including 5 and 8.5 year-old grandsons. Located down the street from a neighborhood park and a short drive from Moonlight Beach. Backyard gazebo was great setting for outdoor dining and board games. Easy access to San Diego area attractions.

Lovely family weekend getaway

My husband and I just became newly weds and wanted to celebrate the union of our two families with a nice weekend getaway with our parents and siblings. This house was perfectly clean, cozy, and wonderful! There were 10 of us and everyone felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The house had everything we needed and more, both the front and back yards were like little safe havens with lush plants, hanging lights, a fire pit, and plenty of places for us to sit and dine together, and the ping pong table in the garage was a fun touch. The host, Cathy, was responsive and helpful. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay!

Great location, very comfortable

First point is that Cathy is a wonderful host. She made sure we were settled in and had information about places to shop for essentials, restaurants for any kind of meal and spots to go out and enjoy Encinitas and Leucadia. The home was super tidy, very comfortable and had everything we would need. Cathy also had bikes, surf boards, boogie boards and beach towels that could be used to make a stay even better. Definitely two thumbs up for the host and the house.

Hospitality at Its Finest

We had a wonderful time, relaxing in the beautifully landscaped yard and cooking together in the gourmet kitchen! Perfect location, with lots of recommendations for nearby restaurants. Our college girlfriend reunion was enhanced by staying here. Would totally return to this gorgeous home.

San Diego Heaven

This property is wonderful. Cathy has done an amazing job of making this lovely home so welcoming. It has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, the beds are soooo comfortable, plenty of seating, the sofa is so cozy, and the outdoor space is so relaxing. If you go to the beach everything you could want or need is there for you. We have stayed at many places that say they have beach supplies, but we have never seen anything like this! Moonlight Beach, with free parking is about a five minute drive and it is wonderful for families. Great showers, restrooms, and concessions. There is a great park right in this cute neighborhood with something for every age. Bikes in the garage for your use, complete with helmets! There are special touches everywhere. Fancy soap and lotion at every sink, nice linens and sheets, games, coffee and tea in the kitchen, great appliances, and dryers, curlers, curling irons in all the bathrooms. All linens are plentiful. You feel like a special guest and Cathy wants to make sure you have everything you need to feel at home. We have never enjoyed staying at a VRBO so much. We will definitely go back!!! The only bad part of this vacation was having to go back to Phoenix and 115 degrees! San Diego weather is truly heaven and this house is the place to stay to enjoy it.

Grandma's birthday

We had a family vacation here with ages 70 down to 6 weeks old. This house was beyond our expectations. It is equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. The five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, accommodated each family perfectly. The neighborhood was quiet with a great little park down the block. We would all highly recommend staying here!! Thank you, Cathy, for all of your effort to make your house a wonderful place to spend a vacation!!

What was there to dislike!

This place was fabulous for my family. We were attending pre wedding activities every evening and we really wanted to stay at the house and enjoy the patio, kitchen and all it had to offer. I have stayed in many VRBO homes but this one was the best. Thank you Cathy for sharing it with us!

Incredible Stay

We absolutely love this property! It is spacious, cozy, and has all the amenities of home. It has everything you need to go to the beach, to have adventures around San Diego, or spend time hanging out at home with your family and friends. Beautiful House!

We absolutely loved our stay in Encinitas in this beautiful house. It is a great location in a quiet neighborhood. The home and Cathy made us feel so welcome. It was perfect for my 8 adult family members and my 7 year old nephew. The back yard and kitchen is where we gathered the most. It was so great to be able to sit and relax together to just chat and make breakfast each morning. Cathy was so great with her suggestions of activities and quickly answering all my questions. The house is so spacious and comfortable that we all had a room and a bathroom so we all had our privacy. The loft area made a great bedroom for my nephew. Everything worked out so well and when we go back we will definitely stay there again. I highly suggest this home for your stay in Encinitas!!

Beautiful home, spacious yet cozy

Wonderful family reunion! The park nearby was perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter. The restaurants in the neighborhood were great but we had even more fun making meals at the house in the large kitchen and outside grill! Would definitely consider returning for another visit!

The house is beautiful very much an entertainment house with several areas to enjoy friends.

Rented for 4 nights first 2 were fairly non noteworthy, third day the owner started with her micro managing, reports from neighbor about car, electricity out in master bath and not fixed until near noon next day. Owner expected immediate responses when we were getting ready for my daughter's wedding. I did respond and when I didn't , owner started saying we were not following the rules. I had the contract with me and we were. She started the threats of leave immediately or she would call the police. I have documented the emails, texts, and phone calls. The last time I talked to her, the attitude and language was accusatory and caustic. I then refused to talk any further. Emails continued. She then contacted VRBO and enlisted their help to cancel with only one day left. I refused to leave the property for the main reason that we were not breaking rules, the spies she sent over have no idea what was in the contract, and there was only about a half day left. It certainly did not help that she was more than ready to blame us for anything, assumed she knew what reality was while she was on a ship in Hawaii! Not everyone should be a landlord.

I originally purchased it as a rental property because of its peaceful setting—tucked away in a rare double cul-de-sac, perfect for kids to safely play and ride bikes. The quiet neighborhood is a hidden gem, and being so close to the beach makes it even more special. It's not easy to find a location like this in the area!
