This professionally furnished unit is on the second floor with views of The Gulf of Mexico and Big Redfish Lake. The three bedroom condo sleeps 6 adults and possible 1 child on the leather living room couch (not a fold- out bed). The newly furnished balcony has 'bar height' chairs and table for better views while dining or snacking and the balcony is completely private with access from the Living Room & Master Bedroom. The Gulf & the Dune Lake can be seen from the Balcony, Living Room & Master Bedroom. The two sun lounges have new top of the line cushions for added comfort.

This incredible unit features 10 foot ceilings, granite kitchen & bar counter-tops, updated kitchen appliances, wireless internet and a gas fireplace. The living room/ dining room and all three bedrooms have new hardwood floors installed in January 2018. All bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, ceiling fans, cableboxes, HDTVs and DVR disc players for movies. The master bath has a large jet tub & separate marble walled shower. The living room has two ceiling fans and a 55” adjustable flat screen HDTV w/cablebox, DVD & a Blu-Ray player with surround sound. The kitchen is fully furnished including small appliances such as a toaster, toaster oven, a blender & 2 coffee makers (drip style & Keurig unit). The cable network has the sports package and a DVR (recordable programs) package for the living room & master bedroom.

Sanctuary at Redfish is situated on 14 beautiful acres that border Big Redfish Lake, an ultra-rare coastal dune lake. These lakes flow in & out of the Gulf & are unique & very rare throughout the world. In the United Stated they are only found adjacent to our very own Northwest Florida beaches. They are truly a treasure of nature & make this location a one-of-a-kind destination. Sanctuary at Redfish is a gated 64 unit, 3 story complex that does not ‘overwhelm’ the amenities provided, even at peak periods (unlike high rise apartment complexes).

Sanctuary at Redfish has a giant tastefully landscaped pool complex with 4 swimming pools and two hot tubs. The large swimming pool has zero depth entry at the west end. The pool area is fully furnished with tables and chairs and pool side lounges. The three small pools are great for families and small children and help reduce the number of people in the large pool. There are two hot tubs bordering the large pool. At the back of the pool complex just past the Fire-pit are 5 Weber Gas Grills which are excellently maintained.

For beach goers, a shuttle boat service is provided (Shuttle service runs from March 1st through the end of October) from our dock for a quick 5 minute trip across Big Redfish Lake to our private white sands beach on the Gulf (or paddle across the lake to our private beach in one of the common kayaks, canoes or row boat - available when shuttle is running). An umbrella and two wooden beach chairs will be set up daily on the beach for our guests (included in the rate). Alternatively, a short 10 minute walk to a private boardwalk (code provided for gate) also delivers you over the dunes onto the beach - (or back to the condo after an evening beach stroll). Paved and Non-paved bike trails are accessed either in front of the complex or just down the street. Scenic Hwy 30A runs right in front of the complex connecting Blue Mountain Beach with Grayton Beach, Water Color, Seaside and Rosemary Beach resorts to mention a few and the paved bike trails run the length of these towns and more. Bicycle rentals are available close to the complex. Also, a public beach with Lifeguards and public parking is located about 6 blocks from Sanctuary at Redfish (a good place to swim when the Gulf waves get up).

For winter renters; one small pool is heated to 80 F throughout the winter (unless the temperature drops below 50 F and the heater is shut down) and two hot tubs are always running. Shuttle and common boats are not available from Nov. 1st to March 1st.

I was born in Tampa, Fl., grew up in Ft. Worth, Tx and moved here from Atlanta, Ga. in 2010. I'm an Engineering consultant & I do a lot of work out of the country/state. I absolutely love Santa Rosa Beach and the greater 30A area. I live with one of my two sons in a house on nearby Okaloosa Bay. Living on the water is a long standing dream of mine & I go fishing and crabing whenever I am not working. My son Kevin (age 24) just graduated from Florida State University and is working and living in San-Destin. My oldest son, Nicholas (age 31) currently lives with me on the bay and works in Destin.

I visited my sister in the 30A, Blue Mountain Beach area for several summers and enjoyed it so much that I decided to move here and buy at Sanctuary at Redfish, a decision I have never regretted. I lived at SAR for 1-1/2 years and still stay in the condo in the winter when it is not rented. I find real peace & serenity living on the lake with the Gulf view and when the surf is strong I can see and hear the breaking waves from the balcony.

What makes this condo unique

The huge pool area is unique and beautiful with 4 swimming pools and two hot tubs, never over-crowded. We have a wonderful 'very' private beach. Access to restaurants stores and markets. Alternatively, the area is not a concrete jungle but supports parks, biking & hiking trails, brackish lakes, with trees and greenery everywhere. Living over a state sanctuary and dune lake has been relaxing & wonderful.

Notes:
A professionally equipped Gym is available for use at any time and includes bathrooms and water fountain. Common Kayaks and Canoes are available at the dock for paddling on Redfish Lake or to the private beach on the Gulf. Walking access to the beach is also available through a boardwalk that travels over the dunes to the beach. The private boardwalk is located approximately 5 minutes walk from the front of the Redfish complex. 4 large Weber grills are available at the back of the pool area. A fire pit is also available when the nights are chilly.

Fantastic Restful Vacation

Very nice, quiet, condo. Beautiful and well kept. The complex was NOT busy at all, there are several pools and none were ever full. The Redfish portion of the beach had just a few people on it at one time, never crowded. Chair rental (we needed extra chairs, was easy) We loved the pontoon to take us across the dune lake to the beach, never had to wait more than 3 minutes. Calm peaceful week on vacation.

Redfish sanctuary is a nice quiet complex. We love the pools and the pontoon boat ride to the beach!

The unit was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Love the hardwood floors throughout. We only have a couple of suggestions: need more washcloths in the master bathroom (only had 1) and the skillets in the kitchen could stand to be replaced. Very minimal suggestions. Beautiful place!

Love the beach

Great time as always!!! Have stayed here several times and are never disappointed. Has everything we need. Such a beautiful condo. Quiet, peaceful and has great amenities. We will be back in late August for a 2nd week. Thanks for sharing your condo Michael.

A consistently excellent place to spend a beach vacation!

I have stayed in this condo several times, and have always found it clean, comfortable, well appointed and attractive. Michael and Donna are highly responsive and show a genuine interest in providing a good experience to their renters. The property is beautiful with a large balcony and views of the lake and the gulf beyond. The pool area is very nice and has not been crowded when we have been there. The beach in this area is beautiful, and again is not typically crowded. I look forward to staying at Michael's condo again, as it has become a reliable favorite for my family.

Nice, roomy condo-- but unfortunate surprises

The condo is very spacious and comfortable (altho 2 of the BRs face the common walkway so you wont be opening the shades). The huge pool area was lovely. In the winter, there is one small pool that is heated enough to swim (not warm) and the hot tubs were nice. The grill and firepit looked great. The beach is beautiful.

There were some unfortunate surprises however, which could have been avoided. First, take a screen shot of all the codes (there are 4), or you wont be able to access them if cell signal drops or the homeaway app acts up. We got no instructions on how to arrive at the unit itself--it is in the East bldg, not the west and numbering is wierd. There are no instructions in the unit so we had to googlemap where the boardwalk was and the grocery. The cable didnt work in 3 of the 4 TVs. We punched enough buttons on the many remotes to somehow finally get it going on one TV, but were unsuccessful on the others. This could have been rectified with some instructions. The icemaker didnt work.

The listing does mention that the boat shuttle does not run after Oct 31, but it does NOT mention that *kayaks and beach chair/umbrellas are unavailable after Nov 1*. This should be rectified. This means that you have to haul all of your gear down the street and out the long boardwalk to the beach. It says it is a "short 5 min walk" to the beach--but that is the length of the boardwalk, it is actually a 15 min walk from the condo, down the bike path, and down the boardwalk. It is a pleasant walk if you had nothing to carry, but a pain when hauling beach stuff. A beach wagon that everyone else seems to have would have been a thoughtful addition. Or at least a heads up.

There are no beach towels, chairs or umbrellas provided. There were two broken and un-usable chairs in the locker by the parking spot. (There are boogie boards and sand toys in the locker however).

The worst surprise was waking up to workers crawling over our balcony and painting literally right outside our bedroom window, about 3 ft from our bed. We couldnt use the balcony for the first 3 days. (Even after that, our view was of bucket trucks and old patio furniture.) We should have been informed of this as it significantly affected our enjoyment of the unit.

Then water began dripping out of a light fixture on our last day, a re-occuring problem according to the manager. These things happen, but it capped it off for us. Nice, but not worth the hassles. We'll come back, but not to this unit

Owner's Response: Please inform me of any complaint or malfunction - if I do not know about it, I cannot fix it! November is a transitional month in which most renters are not visiting the beach, the shuttle is not running and the beach chairs and umbrella are not offered. That is why the rates are less than half the summer season. Chairs in the storage cage (like the pool toys) were left there by previous renters. I did not know that the common boats and Kayaks are not available after November - we used them in the winter when I lived in the unit - I added this in the discription. I never received a call concerning the TV's and many renters change the input to play games or add an exterior device and it must be returned. I did not receive a notice or complaint concerning any of the 4 DVD players and the main living room unit is still working. The unit above did have a leak in their garbage disposal that dripped through a light - I came out to inspect and the SAR complex maintenance people solved the problem. No other complaints were voiced at the time of my visit. All codes are emailed to the renter prior to the arrival date - how did they get in without them? With GPS, no one request directions any more and there were no request from this guest.

Absolutely wonderful vacation and condo!!

The condo was everything expected and more. Beautiful and very clean. The ocean and lake view was beautiful from the balcony day and night. This condo is in a good central location on the property and was easy to get to the pool. All of the beds were comfortable and linens were very nice and greatly appreciated. The only complaint I have is with how poorly the kitchen was equipped. I struggled to even cook breakfast with the less than acceptable cookware and utensils. However, we love this condo and will certainly be returning soon. I'll just bring a few of my own cooking necessities from home.
