Charming cottage centrally located in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

This was by far our favorite place on our trip to Italy. The house is a two story, fairy book house complete with a garden and complete kitchen. This is located as part of a large vineyard (for Kendall Jackson) and olive trees. Gorgeous views everywhere where you look.

Well appointed home where they have thought of everything! We were too tired to go out to dinner upon our arrival, but the kitchen was stocked with enough to fix a meal and have a bottle of wine!

The manager, Barbara, is delightful and speaks English perfectly (she's British) and is a world of help.

You can not go wrong with this cottage! We will be back!! ...we didn't want to leave.

Good, well equipped and clean villa

  • 4 of 5

Lovely property in a beautiful area. Slight drawback is that this property does not have a sunshade allocated to by the pool. The other sunshades belong to other owners in the complex therefore you only have a choice of sitting in the full sun or under a tree some distance from the pool.

Everything you could whish for

  • 5 of 5

Casa Rosella has almost everything you could wish for in a holiday. It's almost just as comfortable at home. We especially appreciated the welcome basket including local wine and olive oil. The area is lovely and the pool is fantastic.(Just be sure to know that you share the pool with several owners and families on the property.) At first we didn't have an umbrella at the pool, but luckely there came one available in our second week. Thank you for a wonderful holiday in beautiful Tuscany!

romantic house in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

This is the most breathtaking HomeAway we have ever found. The surrounding vineyard and olive estate shows Tuscany at its most beautiful. The house itself is immaculate, quiet, fresh, charmingly decorated, and has everything you could dream of: upstairs, a master bedroom with a study loft and master bath, and in the upper stairwell outside the room a ladder to another loft with a skylight and single bed (claimed by our daughter). Downstairs there's a living room, another full bath, dining area, laundry room, and a compact but complete kitchen, as well as a covered patio with table and chairs outside that look over the front garden. There are lovely restaurants within a short drive of the estate, but we were also able to cook very satisfactorily when we didn't want to go out, and we could eat either in the dining room indoors or out on the patio when the weather was fine. Although there are neighbors on both sides, the sunny flower garden and lawn in front are enclosed and private (with a locking gate and hedges) and we felt free to do whatever we wished. On chilly evenings we warmed up by burning a log in the cheerful fireplace in the living room (Americans should note that the glass fireplace door must be closed to keep out the smoke because the fire functions efficiently in the way a wood-burning stove does rather than as an open fire). Weather during the days was a mixture of high clouds, sun, and some rain; we took stunningly beautiful photographs of the landscape and we had many wonderful walks all around. We had our own garden path leading to the pool, which is clean, refreshing, and beautifully situated. We are grateful to the owners for sharing their splendid Tuscan home, and grateful also to Barbara, who met us with the key and provided a welcome gift of wine, pasta, and essentials for dinner and breakfast the next morning. It was a perfect place to stay in Tuscany and we were sad to go. If we could live in this home all year round we would!

Amazing place, great stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Casa Rosella. The valley/estate is so beautiful. We hiked on gravel roads lined with cyprus trees, cooked, visited hill towns, tried interesting wines, watched harvest in progress. We didn't think about work even for a second and were fully recharged by the end of our stay, thanks to Rosella and Barbara!

Everything worked well and in a timely manner, from getting our questions answered to receiving detailed directions to the property and Barbara giving us a warm welcome (she is a lot of fun!). The "basket" was such a nice thing to receive upon check-in, so we didn't have to shop for food upon arriving. The kitchen had everything you may need to cook if you chose to do so. The house was spotless, a second bathroom a definite plus.

We highly recommend Casa Rosella: come, stay, and you won't regret it!

Exceeded expectation. Very accurately descibed, very clean and we couldn't think of anything extra that could have been provided. Quality fixtures and furnishings, really comfortable. The garden is completely private and very pleasant, lovely pool in attractive gardens with a classic tuscan view. Communications and support from Rosella and Barbera (property manager) were absolutely excellent. Easy access to the main road near Siena. We have been to the region several times so pottered around the local towns and villages as well as re-visiting Siena which is superb.
