Trout Lily Cabin - Take in the scenic views from this custom cabin located in a private wooded setting. Nestled on top of the mountain overlooking the North Fork of the New River valley, Trout Lily Cabin is convenient to everything that Ashe County has to offer, including The New River, downtown shopping, dining, and outdoor activities.
The main level offers an open concept with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for 6, and a cozy living room with a free-standing wood stove. This area boasts vaulted ceilings, plenty of windows allowing long range views of the mountains, and a smart TV. Step out onto the wrap around porch to enjoy the long range mountain vistas and ample seating for you and your guests! The covered deck is also equipped with a gas grill and a picnic table so you can cook and enjoy a meal all while admiring the view. The main level also features the first bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom with a walk-in shower and vanity, and washer and dryer.
Upper level enters into a lofted space with futon, a set of twin bunk beds, and more views of the mountains. The upper level also includes a second bedroom with a queen bed as well as the second full bathroom equipped with a shower/tub combo and vanity.
Outside enjoy the mountain views from the covered deck and watch for wildlife including deer, turkey, and a large variety of other birds. Step out through the yard and enjoy the wood burning fire pit area ready to host evenings with friends and family! Access to this cabin requires 4WD/AWD as it is located on gravel road with switchback turns.

The former railroad town of Lansing features Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain, Molly Chompers Cidery, The Creeper Trail Park, and fishing in Big Horse Creek. Grayson Highlands State Park is home to some of the best hiking in the Eastern U.S. Explore the Appalachian Trail, Wilburn Ridge, and Mt. Rogers. Biking and hiking on the Virginia Creeper Trail is available in nearby Whitetop, VA.
