House was in a great location. The view was beautiful and the kids enjoyed jumping off the dock. Did wish there was a latter to climb back up the dock. The deck is amazing. Love that it is mostly covered with nice fans. We loved the hammock under the covered area outside. They have a couple kayaks and that was wonderful. We got to see a bear swim across to the island and back to the woods by the house. That was amazing! All in all a wonderful place to enjoy a wonderful vacation with the family.

The lake view was not as displayed in the photos. Turns out, the Tennessee Valley Authority begins draining this lake/reservoir in August, and doesn't begin refilling it until mid-March. They say it may not be full again until mid-May.

House on the lake

We really enjoyed the property we were there for family vacation. It was perfect for what we needed at a great price will definitely try to get this place again next year sometime . We didnt get to see snow this time but maybe next year

This rental door code was never communicated to us. And finally when we did get inside the door code was changed without telling us and we got locked out! We had to call the 800 number several times didn’t get through. Was told I received an email for check in and an email for check out never received either. The kitchen sink leaked water all over the floor and workmen came in to fix it without my knowledge. It was extremely unpleasant the only pleasant feature of this rental is the rental itself the people who handle the rental are incompetent and absent!

Our stay started out very rocky. No AC, people showing up unannounced, poor communication about timing for service. The lake is great, and the house was nice enough. ½ the plugs are 2 prong so keep that in mind and the cabin is OLD, like glass fuses. But it could have been worse, and the Lake access made it better. Once the AC got working, everything we needed for the rest of the week was good.

A lot of things needed updated, towel rack in bathroom room busted on check-in. Dishwasher falling out of the cabinets and not secured. Few light bulbs not working. Smoke detectors missing in rooms. Visible signs of previous water damage. Dryer vents into main part of the house. Location is great and beautiful. Back yard and Gazebo amazing. Very comfortable beds. Property just needs TLC and lots of updates.

Nostalgiclake cabin

We had a wonderful family vacation at Back in Time. The 4 us ( 21 and 24 kids) loved the nostalgia of the lake house and thoroughly enjoyed all the Elvis decor. The name Back in Time is a perfect description of the house, it was like spending a week in the past in simpler times when everything was a little less rushed. The views of the lake are amazing to wake up to, and the water is gorgeous! We could have spent all day in the water, but we were also busy with all the attractions in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and hiking (all about an easy 30 min away). Advice if going with little kids, the walkway to the lake is a steep walk and the dock has loose boards that we tripped over a few times. But that was the only issue while there! Was so nice not to have to bring sheets and towels and the beds were made when so got there!! That made me a happy mama! Check out was very easy and communication was immediate. We loved our week at Back in Time and the memories we made were priceless.
