Great location, close to everything and very convenient. Very affordable for place to stay with parking except • extremely noisy Jalousie Windows are not soundproofing. Ear plugs are must. • confusing instructions To get an access key, you have to go find a lock box located on a right side of the building(next to parking) not in a lobby. • More tips There is no facial tissues You need to bring quarters to do a laundry

When we arrived the check in directions were easy to follow and parking was easy. Upon arrival in the condo I was immediately disappointed to see the unit did not look like the pictures. The decor was much less light and tropical but we decided it wasn't that important. The cabinets are definitely well worn and seemed to be original. The final disappointment was that taking a bath was impossible since there was no way to plug the drain. I then remembered I had read that in another review but assumed it had been corrected. There are a variety of restaurants close by and Safeway is only a few minutes away for your grocery needs. Overall, I would probably stay at another unit in the building since location and parking are good but would probably skip this unit.

Third time at this apartment, cleaner than usual, been painted. Building problem with 1 lift out of action due to requirements for renovation on level 8, this is poorly organized by building management. Management company do not allow access to the letter box (change since last visit) which is a strong negative for us as we have many parcels usually delivered to us when in Honolulu. Alternate of delivery to rental agent not thought appropriate. All apartment needs is completion of update of kitchen cupboards. Picture is out of date as sofa bed has been replaced with newer more comfortable one. Great views to sea and Diamond Head although can be a little noisy due to essential services sirens.

This condo was perfect for our family of 2 adults,1 infant. The condo is exactly as described, as of this review they have updated the couch and lamps. Check Yelp for photos. CheckIn: Checked in around 11pm and followed the instructions without issues. Keep in the mind the "key" for building access is not a key, its more like a dogtag. The elevators ran smoothly, the security guard was friendly and the lobby was very clean. Location: Centrally located with a short walk to the main shopping area/beach. We walked to Kuhio Beach Park and it took maybe 15 mins with a baby. Other days we walked along the waterway where it was a little more quiet. View: AWESOME! Can see Diamond Head from the kitchen and Ocean from balcony. Noise: Very noisy day/night, with two bars directly across the street and the tour buses stopping nearby, the echo is pretty loud. It didn't bother us too much and didn't wake our daughter, we are used to the noise. But yes, be prepared to hear people yelling, sires, buses, etc. Condo: Perfect setup for us. The two beds in the room was great, although there was only one curtain in the room, which made it very bright in the morning. We hung a sarong to try to block out the light. The toilet/shower is separate from the sink so we liked that as well. Kitchen: Had everything I needed to cook dinner, we were here for 8 nights and with a baby who went to bed around 5:30pm!! So I was able to cook dinner, however I recommend a new cutting board. Bonus: there is a Ross so close, you could buy anything you needed for the kitchen if you really needed it. We left some beers in the fridge for the next guest, I hope they left them for you. ;-) Parking: very easy and so convenient. Wifi: had no issues streaming Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon! Suggestions: Cleaning Supplies like Clorox, 409,or Windex

I arrive at property before 3 pm on saturday.wait 30 minutes and open keybox but key was not there. they did not give me 6 digits door code after two time mail before I leave from LA . and then I talked with security to enter the building . finally I fund the key inside the room . If I did not know 6 digits room code,I could not get in. 1)You have to give us all information we need at once. we are repeater that why ,we have to know that 6 digits code.If we are the first time,that will be big trouble. 2)after sunday ,Nobody apologize,even nobody call . is this regularly happen?

Owner's Response: This does not happen all the time and we are very sorry that this was your experience and looking at the "Welcome Package" on our end, the combo was there for your dates. We think it is pretty clear, but we can look to make it better! Very happy to hear that the staff at Roya Kuhio, not apart of Aliʻi Beach Rentals, was friendly and able to let our guest in the elevator!! They are great over there. We did in fact call the unit a couple times to reach out, we must have missed you.
