Welcome to Shell Beach Retreat, a beautiful three bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home that overlooks a tranquil natural meadow landscape and a lovely blue water view from all rooms in the main house.



The Space:

The home is a five-minute walk to the bluff trail and Shell Beach as well as close to both recreation centers. Breathe in the wonderful ocean and meadow air and recharge yourselves (and your car---see below!) from the hectic life of the city. If you’re bringing the kids, it is literally minutes to One-eyed Jacks, the only kid’s playground in Sea Ranch.



Enter the lovely enclosed garden with ferns and flowering plants. Far from any road noise, you’ll be struck by a sense of absolute peace and quiet. A private detached bedroom with a separate entrance and with half bath awaits you in the garden.



When you walk in the front door you’ll find two lovely bedroom suites each with it’s own private deck facing the ocean as well as ensuite bathrooms. Head upstairs to a warm and inviting great room with vaulted ceilings and an expansive view of the meadows and ocean beyond. Step out the living room sliding door, and find yourself on the main deck, looking out at the view, where you can prepare your BBQ menu, and enjoy meals in the salty invigorating air. Shell Beach Retreat is situated in a particularly wind sheltered spot aided by hedgerows on both sides of the meadow that help to buffer the decks and hot tub.



The kitchen and dining area are flooded with light and the dining table looks out at the stunning ocean view through large picture windows. In the early morning or evenings, you will probably see rabbits, mother deer and fawns, and if you’re lucky, our local red fox. The living room features cedar paneling, and is appointed with a large SmartTV, a new gas burning stove, and comfortable seating for guests. The open kitchen is amply stocked with everything you’ll need to whip up your favorite dishes.



The decor in the house has been tastefully chosen to reflect soothing colors and fabrics including rich woods such as cherry, alder, douglas fir. All of the decks are outfitted with tables and chairs. The walls are decorated with wonderful photographs of Sea Ranch and the Western Coast.



You will find that the beds in all of the rooms are extremely comfortable and will afford you a restful night’s sleep. This house highlights privacy with almost every window in the home protected from visibility by our few neighbors. Soothe yourself in the hot tub, in the garden with your cup of coffee, or at night with a glass of wine gazing at the amazing night sky. If you need to get work done while away, the house has fiber optic cable for WiFi with good coverage in all rooms, as well as desks and desk chairs in two of the bedrooms.
