Bring your Surf or Paddle Boards!!!! and walk down your semi-private path (shared with only 4 homes) to one of the most pristine white sandy beaches in Montauk. Imagine not having to deal with Ditch Plains parking! but Beach passes are included! The property is part of a vintage motel called Twin Pond located on 2.5 acres on Old Montauk Highway. The two bedroom cottage is a stand alone cottage with an open living room with 180 degree views of the ocean (1) King and (1) Queen It's a short distance to town (you can walk) and is near some of the best restaurants—Harvest. It's tastefully decorated with TV and WiFi. Ideal for couples or small family. There is outdoor furniture, a table for 6 and a gas grill. This is across the street from the ocean. There is one house in front of it but this cottage is on a hill so you have ocean views.

Ocean view perfection

We loved our stay this past weekend on Twin Pond Road. We are florists and we were in Montauk for the weekend for a wedding. Sally is super kind and has lived in Montauk her entire life. She can give you all the ins and outs of where to go and things to do. The cottage was just recently renovated and it's ocean front views are absolutely breathtaking. I want to come back when I am work free so I can enjoy more time staring at the sea from the deck. It's an absolutely lovely cottage, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely lovely cottage!

My friends and I stayed here in the offseason, so unfortunately could not take full advantage of the beachfront location, but the place is absolutely lovely. Lots of sunlight, clean, well-kept with all the things a group of people would need. As the description mentions, it's on top of a hill off Old Montauk Highway, so you get great views.

The furniture was great, and everything was fresh and comfortable. I believe there were new floors recently installed as well.

Laura and Sally were very accommodating and communication was easy and straightforward.

Highly recommend and would love to try and stay here when it's warm!

Great Montauk Escape

We had a delightful time in at the Twin Pond ocean front cottage. The location was perfect for our desired four night break from the rat-race and the cottage easily met all of our needs. The deck over looking the ocean was an inspiration each morning with our first cups of coffee. The layout of the rest of the cottage is perfect for us and our furry buddy. We were literally steps for town and able to enjoy all of the newer Montauk restaurants and pubs. Owner Sally couldn't have been gracious and accommodating. Our only regret was how quickly the end of our stay seemed to come. We look forward to making the trip to Twin Pond again.

Home Away From Home

First year staying at Twin Pond at the two bedroom cottage, across the street from the beach, which was quiet and not overcrowded.

Takes all of three minutes to walk there and set up your chair.

Has all the amenities of home including washer/dryer, full kitchen, wi-if , outside shower(which we loved), large gas grill and deck overlooking ocean. A/C in every room.

Perfect family set up, as we were traveling with an infant.

The owner Sally, could not be more accommodating or nicer, and grounds well maintained. Recommend highly.

Another great vacation!

We spent another vacation (our third year in a row) in this studio. Everything is exactly as portrayed in the description and photographs, and more. The view from the front deck looks out on an expanse of lawn out to the road and across that road is the ocean. The sound of the waves lulled us to sleep every night. The unit was spotless and very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom had been recently redone. There was nothing, supply-wise, that the studio lacked, including a gas grill on the deck which we used a few times if we didn't eat out. The location, only a half mile to town, yet on a private beach, could not be improved upon. We've become regulars and have made friends with other families who come every summer. Sally is warm and solicitous of our every need. Our dog is one of a few regulars, too! The location, space, and comfort can't be beat!

Wonderful property

Myself and my husband were visiting my sister in NYC from Ireland, but decided to get outta dodge for the final three nights.

Cue Twin Ponds, Montauk. My sister did the ground work and found this rental for the weekend. I'm so glad she did.

Twin Ponds is wonderfully decorated, comfortable and relaxing.

Right beside the beach, it was a pleasure to stroll to it every day.

The house was stocked with everything we needed and more.

Wonderful memories were made here. Thank you very much.
