Downtown Kennebunk Home - Spacious! - Walk to area shops and restaurants!

Located in Downtown Kennebunk, this home is convenient to area beaches (beach passes included), restaurants and shopping. If you’re looking for SPACE you have found it!

There is 2,500 square feet of living space with two covered porches, a large deck, and garage space. Note that there are two small studios under the same roof but have completely separate and private entrances and are rented to quiet tenants. One over the garage and one in the basement. The main house is all yours!

There are three cozy bedrooms - one with a king bed, one with 2 twin beds, and one with a queen bed (this bedroom is on the third floor). There is also a fourth room with bunk beds that is more like a pass through space. This space also has a couch and TV. There is also an extra cot bringing the total bed space to 9! Bring two families and split the expense!

There is AC in all three bedrooms. I have window fans for the living room area.

There are lots of stairs - a small flight to get into the house and then there are two additional flights in the space. Two bedrooms and the pass through space on the second floor and the third queen bedroom is on the third floor. Get your exercise while on vacation!

There is a half bath on the main floor and a full bath on the second floor. Blow dryer and curling iron provided. There is a large laundry area with washer and dryer between the first and second floors.

The living room space is open to the dining room and the kitchen is somewhat open to that area as well but can be closed off if needed. Fully equipped and ready for you to cook a family meal in!

I have 4 cruiser bikes that you are welcome to use during your stay. I also have 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, boogie boards and some sand toys.

WiFi and streaming TV of course.

I have a few pack and plays, stroller, high chair, and child gates if you need. Please request the child gates ahead of your arrival as I can set them up when preparing the house for you.

This property was beyond our expectations. We are five retired educators who take a trip each year. We all agreed this has been the best property we have stayed in, by far. Shelly, the host, was not only responsive to our questions and needs; she was proactive and offered accommodations we hadn't even thought to request. Although we weren't able to take advantage of these offerings, they were greatly appreciated. The property was extremely clean, well-stocked, comfortable, and in a great location. Thank you, Shelly, for sharing your beautiful home. We look forward to returning!

A fabulous property! Very spacious. Owner had thought of everything in respect of supplies and convenience. Very well stocked! Very clean accommodation. Comfortable beds. Plenty of bath and beach towels and utility equipment appreciated, especially following beach visits. Welcome pack in fridge was a lovely touch, as were the fresh flowers. Loved the outdoor space and location. KENNEBUNK is a lovely town. This was our 4th property of 5 over a 3 week road trip and was by far our favourite. Host was fabulous. Very accommodating and quick responses to any questions asked. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful two-week stay at Shelly’s home in Kennebunk! From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described and even better than we expected. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space for our family of five. We stayed for two weeks with our three kids and never felt cramped — it truly felt like a home away from home.Shelly was an amazing host — responsive, thoughtful, and clearly committed to making sure her guests have a fantastic stay. We especially appreciated all of the extras that were provided. The house was incredibly well stocked with everything we could possibly need, and having beach equipment available was such a wonderful bonus and made our vacation so much easier.The location in Kennebunk was perfect for our family, and we loved having a comfortable place to come back to after a day at the beach or exploring the area.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, well-equipped place to stay in Kennebunk!

Great house in a great location.

Beautiful house in downtown Kennebunk. Short drive to beaches and local hot spots. Walking distance to local restaurants and ice-cream. Great area for family friendly activities. Will stay at this location again if available next year. Host was great and helpful throughout are vacation.

Gem in Downtown Kennebunk

Wonderful property just off main street in Kennebunk. Just a minute walk to great shops and food. House was extremely clean and well stocked with all the essentials for a beach trip. Kitchen was very well appointed with plates, cookware etc. Very comfortable stay with 7 adults and 1 child. Would highly recommend!

The house is in a good location just outside of kennebunkport, close to wells and Ogunquit, however when we stayed (end of August) the town on Kennebunk was rather dead, a lot of shops and restaurants were not open would of been nice because it’s walking distance from the house. however the house is clean but the floors were SOOO slippery that my 3 year old fell very often..Bathroom situation was very difficult with only one shower; and there’s only one mirror elsewhere so it was difficult for a large party to get ready together however, all in all it was a great stay! decorated nicely and the back yard was a perfect place to hang after a long day!

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you experienced with the slippery floors (I mop them between every guest so they are squeaky clean) and bathroom setup, I'll be taking a closer look at both to see how I can make things more comfortable for future guests. As for the timing, Kennebunk can quiet down a bit toward the end of summer (most love this quiet time as restaurants are all open in Kennebunkport and they are easier to get into). What a *dream* stay this was! Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home. Shelly's place is gorgeous and spacious. We loved all the big windows, comfortable furniture, and thoughtful touches (like beach towels, extra blankets, and shampoo/soap). Our toddler was along for the trip, and Shelly graciously left us baby gates, a pack-and-play, a high chair, baby cup/plates, and toys. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals and we loved making s'mores in the backyard fire pit.We walked all over Kennebunk: to the Brick Museum, the bowling alley, the toy store, bookstore, cafes, and parks. Quick drive to the beaches in Kennebunk, the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, and the Nubble Lighthouse in York. Truly one of our favorite VRBO stays. Thank you!

This home was the perfect fit for our family. It was meticulous and provided great space for sleeping, relaxing outdoors, having family meals, and for one of us to work remotely :( From the minute we walked in, we noticed how thoughtfully the home was made ready for us: a bottle of chilled wine and cookies, coffee and creamer, clean- ingredient soap, shampoo and conditioner, and all of the other items that allowed us to arrive and unpack without having to run to the store for essentials.The location was really wonderful, too. Our neighborhood was quiet, but allowed great access to downtown Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, as well as easy drives to Portland and to Ogunquit.We're already talking about booking again for next year! Kudos to Kelly for her thoughtfulness, great communication and beautiful home!

The house was exactly as described. Extremely clean. Stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The beach is just a short drive away. We did make use of the free beach pass for a rainy visit but did not get to enjoy the use of all the provided beach gear which would have been great. We were able to walk to a local restaurant (50 Local) for dinner which was excellent. And a nice morning stroll to a local bakery for coffee and breakfast pastries. We had plenty of reflecting space on the front porch and private back yard. An added bonus was a free concert in the adjacent park that we were able to enjoy from the front porch. Communication was with Shelly was very easy. Great stay for a stop over on the way back from Acadia.

Shelly was amazing in her response time whenever I had a question. The house is beautiful and obviously well cared for. The beach chairs and boogie boards came in very handy multiple times during our stay. I would say the only drawback was the lack of AC on the main floor. The bedrooms were all very comfortable but it was hot downstairs. And having a house that sleeps 8 people is terrific, but having only 1 shower was a time suck for us most days. Maybe even an outdoor shower just to wash off the sand from a day on the beach might be helpful to future guests? Just a thought!That's not to say the trip wasn't amazing .. It absolutely was. And we couldn't have asked for a better host! Thank you Shelly for helping to make our week in Maine wonderful!

This home was beautiful, spacious, and family friendly! Our host, Shelly, had set up a high chair, pack-in-play, baby gates, and even outlet covers to make our stay with young children safe and comfortable. There were toys, and plenty of beach gear (towels, toys, wagon, chairs, cooler) to make this a fabulous choice for us! The front porch swing and back deck space were also nice places to relax.

We loved our stay. The house was spotless, and set up so well for guests. Plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a wagon for the beach. Everything worked well, and we all found it so comfortable. So many vacation homes lack enough seating for the number of guests they can accommodate, but this house had plenty of seating in the living room, dining room, and outside. It is right next to town, so you can literally walk to a couple of adorable coffee shops in about three minutes. There was some music from the bowling alley behind the house, but it was off by 10pm, so didn’t bother us at all. We absolutely love this house.

Absolutely fabulous home. The kitchen had everything you need with quality utensils. The bathroom was well stocked with all essentials and ample towels etc. beautiful back yard with deck for morning tea and evening cocktails. House a/c perfect. Walk to local stores, coffee shops, restaurants, art and clothing stores. The host provided bicycles and beach chairs for easy ride to beach. Close to several beaches and small towns. Overall wonderful experience, highly recommended.

This was our second year back, and we once again had such a great time. Shelly is a stellar host, and the location is quiet, walkable, and beautiful. We love visiting the farmer's market on Saturday, just steps away from the house, and the live music on Wednesday nights is so fun. We can not wait to come back again next year and make even more memories.

Immaculate and soooo convenient. Such a wonderful house. Easy driveway parking. Quick drives to many beaches and hikes.The hose on the side of the house was clutch in cleaning our sandy feet after a beach day! Highly recommend Seven High and Boulangerie for sandwiches and breakfast pastries / morning coffees.The ONLY thing I might warn bigger groups about is that there is AMPLE space, inside and outside, comfy beds, two tvs, but . . . only one shower. We were completely fine with this since we were only 4, but I can imagine that a group of 7 or 8 might find this challenging and quite time-consuming! We hope to return soon!

It's great to know the outdoor hose came in handy after your beach adventures, and I appreciate your recommendations for Seven High and Boulangerie. I also appreciate your thoughtful note about the bathroom setup. As you mentioned, the home offers plenty of indoor and outdoor space and comfortably accommodates larger groups, but it does have a single bathroom with one shower. I tried to make every effort to clearly communicate this in my listing, and my rates are priced accordingly to reflect the one-bathroom layout. Thank you again for being wonderful guests.
