About the property

Private Lake Home Setting with Party Dock is Convenient to Gainesville

House, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths (Sleeps 13)

This newer lake home is the perfect spot for your Lake Lanier vacation. Located on a huge cove, this waterfront property has views of 'big water' from the dock and a large double slip dock with party deck on a quiet area of the lake in Gainesville, Georgia.

This spacious home would be perfect for a family vacation, family reunion or even a couple of families staying together. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your stay in Gainesville on Lake Lanier. The property gently slopes to the water for an easy walk to the dock. The house is only a short drive from downtown Gainesville as well as Lake Lanier Islands and the Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville.

There are 5 bedrooms (see below), 4 full bathrooms and one half bathroom. This house has plenty of of beds-- located on 3 floors which allows for some privacy. The main living room has a wall of windows overlooking the trees and lake view through the trees, beautiful hardwood floors, a stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings.

Wifi is available and there is an office area--a perfect spot not far from other activities to get away for a little quiet.

For outdoor living, there are three deck areas – two covered decks--one with 3 ceiling fans--and a deck by the outdoor kitchen and fire pit. For entertainment, there are board games, a large flat screen, smart TV with Blu-Ray player and a shuffleboard table on the terrace level.

When you are at the lake, you can sit on the dock and enjoy the sun on the upper part of large party dock or stay below for more shade or fishing. Either location allows for a great view of lake activities. There are boats and jet skis for rent at various marinas on the lake, the closest being Port Royale. Ask about kayak and stand up paddle board rental from owner - free delivery.

****Please note, we do NOT allow events at the home such as weddings, large birthday bashes, bachelor parties, etc.**** CALL TO DISCUSS PRIOR TO REQUESTING A BOOKING.

We are a residential location and cannot accommodate a large EVENT. Family gatherings, couples, mature women or men's groups are fine and welcome. If you have more than 13, please inquire about suitability of space. We strive to maintain our home in pristine condition and have found 'party events' are not in keeping with the vision for our vacation rental. Thank you for your understanding.

About Joni Tuttle

We are from Gwinnett county Georgia and wanted a second home not too far from our primary home so we could use it often. We have since moved to the lake full time since our kids have graduated and moved out of the house. Family time is precious and being together at the lake makes it easier for us to spend some quality time as a family.

Joni Tuttle purchased this house in 2006

Why Joni Tuttle chose Gainesville

We owned a house on Lake Lanier a little further north before building this one. We desired a lot that wasn't as steep of a walk down to the lake, and this one fit the bill. No matter what the water levels are on the lake, we are able to move the dock out further so that we always have water and can get our boats in and out.

The house itself is great for couples as well as families since four of the five bedrooms have their own bathroom. It has been a wonderful house for family vacations as well as entertaining.

What makes this house unique

There are many things we love about the house. The outdoor kitchen with the fire ring is one of our favorites. No matter what time of year, we use the outdoor grill and fire ring as a place to gather. The covered decks off the back of the house are good for meals and to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. The ceiling fans keep it a comfortable temperature in the warm months.

The cove where our dock is located makes a great spot to sit and watch people fish, tube or ski. It is a protected spot, yet very open without being in an area where the dock/boat gets knocked around. The location on the lake is convenient; we love to take the boat over to Pelican Pete's to eat and listen to music. There is always something to do and Gainesville is 10 minutes away if we want to go shopping or go to dinner.

Awesome Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time on Lake Lanier! There was enough room for everyone to be comfortable, and enough common space for congregation. The outside kitchen area was great for an evening and the porches are a great space to relax. The lake is a short jaunt from the house, and if you have more than a few people laying out on the top deck of the dock you should bring a few extra chairs. BUT everything else was awesome. We'd totally stay here again!

Beautiful property, meticulously maintained and looks just like the pictures.

This property was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. Joni was excellent and set us up with a service to deliver firewood. There is another bedroom in the home that is not pictured. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained.

Birthday Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have a large family and I rented this house to have a 70th birthday celebration for my wife and it was the perfect spot for our event. The House was spotless with a well equipped kitchen as well as an outdoor kitchen. The dock was perfect for our boat, several kayaks, float tubes and swimming. The house is in a picturesque cove surrounded by woods and was great location for our photographer to take our family photos.

Our whole family highly recommends this house for a lake getaway.

Great lakehouse

  • 5 of 5

This lakehouse was perfect for a girls weekend. The common area was big enough for everyone to hang out in, although most of our time was spent down at the dock in the lake. The house is on a cove which was nice because there weren't a ton of boats coming in and out, but the water was still deep enough to swim in.

We rented a boat from the Port Royale Marina one day and it was an easy 10 minute drive from the house.

The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Definitely, recommend this house!
