This top floor condo has a large, screened in balcony facing the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The décor is a traditional and comfortable plus the den can be used as another small bedroom with kids bunk beds in it. The kitchen is fully equipped and you are within walking distance to restaurants, shops and other beach activities. our condo has a washer and dryer as well as free wireless internet service is available. PLEASE NOTE: This is a non-smoking property with the exception of a designated outside smoking area.
Villa Madeira is a direct beachfront building right in the middle of quaint Madeira Beach, a small beach town that is approximately 2 miles long. Consisting of 50 units; all units face West so all will have a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico from their private, screened in balconies.

great vacation

The condo is older, but in very good condition. The location was great, and the weather was perfect. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the balcony, listening to the surf. We would definitely stay there again. Our only quibble was that there were no condiments or spices, which is unusual for a condo. Otherwise it was well equipped.

Great location

Pretty disappointed with the fact a beach rental didn't offer any beach chairs,towels..coolers for over $3K for a week. No necessity items provided such as one toilet paper in each bathroom, half roll paper towels, one pod of dishwasher detergent, no laundry detergent..etc...be prepared to go shopping your first day.

We also do not require our owners to supply beach items. We hope to change the "key" situation, but the keys provide access to the beach and pool giving protection. We do apologize concerning the roman tub situation as the owner is working on a solution. We are glad you had a great time and we are hopeful you will join us again for a future stay.

Nice but Dated Rental

The condominium complex was nice with a great location. It was on the gulf with a pool and beach. However, the apartment that I rented was very dated. Beds were old and uncomfortable; sofas were the same. Our family rented four units for our vacation and the others were very nice. There is only one elevator for the building and it went out of service several times.

Very nice building and Location

This was our second year staying at this building, different units each year. This unit, 609, is very dated. The furniture has visible stains, the master bedroom mattress has a large impression on one side of the mattress, which made sleeping very uncomfortable. However, some of these are expected when staying in a rental. Our visit was enjoyable regardless of the few things about the unit. Had the pictures of the unit showed more of the master bath, we may not have picked that unit (the dated portion!). We would definitely stay at this complex again! Likely a different unit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the units location was in a very desirable location, the unit's overall condition was poorly maintained. During our month-long stay the water heater had to be replaced, the kitchen supplies were at a bare minimum, and the glass Panel in the sliding glass door's nearly fell out. I would highly recommend using the Property management company, did a wonderful job helping us manage all of the condo issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the rental unit was in okay condition. The rugs were dirty as well as the bedroom carpets which definitely need updating. The kitchen had just enough for 4 adults and no baking dishes to cook. No hot pads as well. The sliding doors did not lock. Luckily the porch was screened in because we had a 2 year old and it wouldn’t have worked. We would have had to leave. They need to be up to code.

Needs update!

Reviewer Comments: This was not the original location we chose, but were placed here because we were using a credit. Definitely not impressed with the unit or Resort Rentals as a whole. I’m guessing nothing has been updated in decades. There were no towel bars in any of the bathrooms and the entire decor was extremely old, however it was clean. The fact that the pool closed at sundown was a bummer and having the board President lurking around watching your every move was unnecessary. We couldn’t even eat dinner at the tables by the beach without him coming to see what we were up to. Having to have a key everywhere you go is extremely inconvenient, especially when you are only given 2 keys. Over all our stay was fine, but we will not be choosing this property or Resort Rentals in the future.

It’s all about the view

The positive is the view, the porch, and the pool! And for our family that made this trip work. However, the check in is ridiculous. Driving over 20 minutes out of your way to pick up and drop off the keys is ridiculous. Also, I knew the unit was dated. That never really bothers me. But the couch and love seat were just plain dirty and heavily stained. I ended up using sheets in the hall closet to cover the furniture so we could sit on them. Finally, I understand you don’t stock units with paper products, cleaning products and/or basic food supplies…. But not one solitary item was provided. Not even a sponge. No salt. Or ANY pantry item. Our grocery bill was ridiculously high. We have food allergies so cooking in is not something we can avoid! The host fees and service fees are always very high in my opinion. And I can not help to question what these services provide if not the very concerns I have listed.

We were right on the beach which was clean, uncrowded, and absolutely beautiful--powdery, soft sand. The area seemed so safe, almost a small town feel. Loved that it was within walking distance to John's Pass and across the street from Candy Kitchen. The condo was spacious enough for our family of six--with three adults, two teens and a child. However, the bunk beds weren't too sturdy, so we couldn't put a teen on the top bunk. The condo could use some updating and additional supplies--silverware, beach toys, dish soap. It was not as stocked as others we have stayed in. The balcony was spacious with enough furniture and screened in. Didn't realize how great it would be not to have to worry about birds, bugs, or stuff falling down! A great stay overall--I'd rent again.

Allocated parking was an excellent feature and everyone we met at the condo was very friendly and helpful. The only things missing were pots with lids (I love to cook!) and a knife sharpener.We would highly recommend Villa Madeira to anyone looking for a beach experience. We had many memorable sunsets and the sound of the waves was wonderful to fall asleep to. There were many nice features close by, including a grocery store. Museums in St. Petersburg were about 20n minutes away and well Worth the trip.

Tired and dated condo

The location of this building was great, on the beach and walking to John's Pass. The pool was nice, no bbq's though. The condo itself was clean but very outdated. For the rental fees, the owners should be doing a major reno. The dishwasher didn't work. The kitchen water pressure was so low took forever to fill a pot with water. We had to boil water to wash dishes because it didn't get hot from taps. Bedding is so old. Window screens fell off. Kitchen was poorly stocked. Mismatched dishes, 1 wine glass, 1 other glass, 1 teaspoon, 3 cups for example in a condo that sleeps 6! Bathroom had 4 ' round harvest gold tub from the 70s. Propert manager did send a box of supplies quickly when I voiced my issues. It's the owner that needs to fix up. We won't go back.

Madeira Beach vacation

We had a great time the condo was clean, however it was needing to be updated it had a Roman bathtub from the 70s and carpet in the bedroom but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would stay again just without the update I think the price should be lower

Reviewer Comments: Let me begin with I’ve been coming down to the gulf beaches for 21 years and stayed in different places and different units at Villa Madeira and this unit can use some updating! Needs new sofa,master bedroom needs newer bedding and the bathroom needs new shower head ,screen on balcony wind kept coming off and patio furniture needs updating. I also feel that All units should have beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels for the guest who fly down at no extra cost.also the laundry service that you use the bed sheets are like sand paper.

Reviewer Comments: We have rented many vacation homes over the years and looked forward to another nice stay. This unit had a beautiful view of the Gulf which is what attracted us to it. WE booked for two weeks. However, its the little things that matter and this unit was missing those. Not enough spoons for coffee for 4 people, nor any other utensils; usually when booking a place like this, you get enough dishwasher detergent, dish soap and maybe more than one dishrag and towels to make it thru a week--not here! Also, the place could use a major dusting--ie; behind the nightstand was very noticeable amount of dust. Finally, the outdoor furniture and cushions are more than overused--moldy on bottom and pretty much deflated. For $5500, we expected a clean, well equipped unit. Disappointed! That said, the view was awesome!

Great vacation!

The condo while somewhat dated was very clean and the location on the beach was everything one could ask for. Very walkable area to restaurants and John’s Pass. Downside was there were no beach towels or chairs in the unit.

New Years rental was very nice

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was happy with the overall rental of this condo. I was disappointed that the pool was closed for pretty much the entire rental period. I always look for a rental property with a pool and was disappointed that it was closed, when I was expecting a heated pool during our rental. The garbage disposal did not work in the rental. I called on Friday, January 1st and left a message that it was not working, but never received a call back. I did call on Monday, January 4th, once I was back home. At this point, I was concerned that it was repaired before the next renters.
