A small welcome package might of been appropriate. First we had to uber to shop for toothpaste, soap and other conveniences to get us through a couple of days.

Family vacation

The condo was just like the pictures. Had everything we needed. The only thing waa that the pool is not yet open from last years hurricane. We had a good family vacation.

Great location right on the beach!

Loved the location right on Madeira Beach! Enjoyed the sunsets over the gulf! The stay was hassle-free. Only thing was the air conditioning did not work very well and it was hard to sleep at night.

End unit at Madeira Villas was spacious and sun-filled. Unit was well furnished and Kitchen was updated but bathrooms need work.

We had a wonderful time. This property is accurately pictured. A little outdated but price reflects this. The owners were out of country but still communicated when we had an issue. The air limit is 74 and that just doesn’t cool the condo enough. We did use fans that were provided, thank you for that!! The cleaning crew could have done a little better before we arrived. We found some dirty socks under the bed (in plain view),lots of sand (I know we are at the beach!), and the garbage can in the kitchen smelled horrid. The views, patio, location definitely made up for any negatives. We really did have an amazing time!

Fun getaway

We enjoyed a week at this condo. The condo was clean. The condo is outdated as seen in the pictures but pleasant to stay in. The check in and out process was easy. The location is great right on the gulf with a beautiful beach. Pool was good but needed to be cleaned. Short walk to John’s pass. Overall a good place to stay for a beach front place.

Villa Madeira stay

It is evident that the outside of this property suffered great storm damage. I must say that crews are working very hard to bring it back to its original state.The condo that we stayed in was disappointing. The cleaning crew did minimal work to make it look presentable. There was definitely no great effort taken to clean. Updates to the beds and dining room set should be considered.

Fantastic owners!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Madeira Beach! The location of this condo is perfect-it is close to John’s Pass, many restaurants, and has the best beach view. The owners of the condo were very responsive whenever I asked a question. I contacted them a few times. They were also very understanding. My kids loved the huge bath in the master bathroom and the condo was very spacious for our family of 5. The screened in patio made me feel comfortable when my younger kids were sitting with us. We will definitely return to this condo if our family decides to stay at Madeira Beach again!

New Year Vacation

Very nice location. Amazing view of the Gulf. Heated swimming pool was perfect for this time of year. Beds were comfortable. Had every thing we needed for the beach, including fishing poles, which my grandson loved. Our only complaint would be that the coffee pot should be replaced. The replacement carafe did not fit the maker. We had to jimmy rig it to work. Please just replace that old thing.

Elevator Issues

They stay was nice, however, my son was one of eight people that got stuck on the elevator and the fire department was called to get them out. We were told that this happens all the time at this building. We had to carry a wagon cart with loads of beach supplies up 5 flights of stairs.

Nice Place Overall

My family and I had a great stay. Very closely located to St. John’s Pass so there are a ton of things to do. The owners were very responsive to any questions I had. Overall - The condo is very clean but is pretty dated. It didn’t really bother me or detract from our stay at all just a few details would go a long way. Like putting some new air vents in wouldn’t be a bad idea. The ones that are in there look pretty dusty. Also, making sure the outlets are not loose and ensuring a parking pass is in the condo. Small things like that would make a big difference. Again, it didn’t really bother me at all but I could see how that would be a detractor for others.

Mad Beach

This is our 4th stay at Villa Madeira The first 2 stays were ok the last 2 had some issues mostly with the HOA president and the elevator The HOA president seems to like to insert himself in to everything he sees and he acts like he owns the property The unit was pretty much what was listed overall it was good, there was some mold on the bathrooms and the no seeums were everywhere but hey it’s Florida and it’s hot and humid, but the major set back was the elevator and it went out both on the day of arrival and the day of check out It is NOT the unit owners responsibility to service the elevator so I don’t hold them accountable they were more than welcoming and easily accessible just wish whoever is tasked with upkeep would do a better job

Place seriously needs updates

Only master bedroom was livable,master bathroom was falling apart and was screwed down with crews,with black mould on ceiling,no wentilation in there because fan is not working,other two bedroom beds squicky on any movement,little bedrooms bed frame broken,place just needs major updates it looks like nothing was done to it since the place was built and most annoying think that anywhere you want to go you need the key to get in, pool,beach,pool bathrooms and anywhere alls you need to get to.. ok now good thinks,livingroom couch was comfortable, kitchen fully stocked,heated pool,location is right on the beach,and the beach was clean also,i hate giving bad reviews but over last 10 years i was coming to the area for vacation this place was the worst out of all i ever rented,so owner please update the place and make it great because the location is asking for it !!!!!!

Vacation after Hurricane Idalia

I can not say enough about how professional Steve, the owner, was! I reached out to him four days before our trip, the day before Hurricane Idalia was scheduled to make land fall in Maderia Beach. He immediately returned my call and said he’s let me know after Idalia passed the status of the condo. He went above and beyond the day before our reservation, he informed us of all the damage to the property, zero, informed us of sand removal/cleanup, and also about businesses reopening. Even after he told us all was good to go he offered to give us a full refund!!! He did not have to do this, how many owners are this up front, honest, and generous!?!? Based on his honesty we decided to go and I am so glad we did! Is the condo updated, no but it was clean and comfortable, which is most important to us. I highly recommend this property, it’s affordable, clean, comfortable, and is managed professionally!

Loss of communication

When getting to the property, the only thing they gave us was a four digit pass code and told us there was a lock box in the white cabinet that was it. (40 lockboxes) call and call but no pickup from said owners we had to try to put the code in everyone box just to find ours is! Finally found our right lockbox(510)* we go up to the room and 74-76 degrees is very uncomfortable in 95-100 degree temperatures not to mention both doors are broken that leads out to the balcony one never did open to the outside(master bedroom) and broken drawers in master bathroom and broken closet door in front of the washer and dryer. After staying there for a whole week, never wants to touch base with the owners which is very sad and unprofessional. I will give this trip a 2/10 just because of the Beach Location. But yet the worst place we’ve ever stayed up on Vrbo definitely play what you get.

Good choice for a low budget vacation

Priced accordingly. This accommodation has what we consider the most important aspects covered: cleanliness, functionality, & location. The living room & kitchen have been renovated (kitchen stopping short at the ceiling), bathrooms haven't been touched for decades. Happy that bedroom floors have been updated with lvt. (not shown in pics) They really should replace the broken-down (but functioning) twin bed ,stained kitchen ceiling tiles, and door stops. And any DIYer could have that scuffed dining room table sanded down & polyed in an hour, so that they could ditch the cheap tablecloth. New outlets should be on the to-fix list too... functioning but loose! Cheap fixes that would go a long way in leaving a good impression. Bathroom remodels definitely should be done, but I'm sure the price will go up accordingly after those happen! As a house flipper, it's hard for me to vacation instead of heading to Lowe's to start working on some of these things while I'm there! 😂

Wonderful stay overall

Great place, location, good price. Owner was responsive and available for any questions. We had everything we needed as far as furnishings/kitchen supplies. The unit has some renovations and improvements. There isn’t carpet in the bedrooms anymore like the pictures show. The owner also told us about the renovations planned for the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again. Overall great vacation and experience especially considering the week before not knowing if we would be able to due to Hurricane Ian. The owner was super responsive during that time and we had a plan B in place depending on the path of the storm.
