My husband and I are both transplants from New England. We moved south in 2011 to escape the cold winters and fell in love with the charm, history and relaxed pace of Beaufort.
Donna Conlon purchased this cottage in 2012
It's a great location and provides a comfortable private place for friends and family to stay while visiting.
Located in a safe residential area, on a quiet street, surrounded by lovely mossy oaks and azaleas, you have all the privacy you could want. If you should ever need anything, my husband and I are a phone call away and are happy to make a dinner reservation for you or lend you some chairs for your trip to the beach.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment was comfortable and well outfitted with everything you could need from extra blankets to guides for local attractions. We had all the quiet and comfort of a private apartment with the peace of mind of knowing that Donna and Andy were close by if we ever needed anything. The neighborhood was pretty, and we were close to the grocery store and to Parris Island. If I come back to Beaufort I would definitely stay at this property again.
Everything was wonderful. From the information and communication on Donna's end, to the physical space. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax after long days of travel and spending time with our new Marines. Everything we needed from coffee to extra towels was provided, and we were only about 10 minutes from the Island's main gate. The neighborhood was quiet (and beautifully decorated for Christmas), and lots of things conveniently located...like a grocery store and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home.
The owner was very nice and showed us the apartment upon arrival. This rental was cozy for 3. My husband, son and I stayed to attend our son's graduation. Great location, about 10 min away. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we had plenty of towels stocked for our 3 night stay. The one downfall were the bugs that were crawling on the counter and our dirty dishes in the kitchen. My husband also found one in the fridge and in a drawer. But I suppose for the location it is expected.
A very nice and clean place to stay with a very pleasant host!
We made these reservations in order to attend our son's graduation from boot camp. After looking for reasonable accommodations in the Beaufort area, we stumbled upon this little diamond in the ruff. I'm so glad we did.
This place is cozy, clean and close to everything while feeling like you are tucked away in the middle of nowhere. You couldn't ask for a better hostess than Donna. She made us feel welcome and was very accommodating (even with Hurricane Hermine hammering down on us).
If we ever find ourselves back in the Beaufort area, we will definitely be looking to stay with the Conlons.
We had a great time staying here. Donna was really nice and showed us around when we arrived. We had our privacy and the apartment was very clean and well kept. We would definitely rent again!
Beaufort is a wonderful town, rich with history and full of friendly people. Located between Charleston and Savannah, Beaufort has a lot of the culture and excitement of a bigger city, but with a wonderful small town feel. Walk along the beautiful waterfront, enjoy dinner outside overlooking the water at one of the many great restaurants downtown has to offer, stroll along Bay Street and check out the many shops and antiques stores, or enjoy a guided carriage ride tour of the historic district. For a beach day, head to Hunting Island and enjoy the beautiful 5,000 acres of wilderness. Beaufort is home to many festivals and there is always something new to see and do!
