About Donna Conlon
My husband and I are both transplants from New England. We moved south in 2011 to escape the cold winters and fell in love with the charm, history and relaxed pace of Beaufort.
Donna Conlon purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Donna Conlon chose Mossy Oaks
It's a great location and provides a comfortable private place for friends and family to stay while visiting.
What makes this Cottage unique
Located in a safe residential area, on a quiet street, surrounded by lovely mossy oaks and azaleas, you have all the privacy you could want. If you should ever need anything, my husband and I are a phone call away and are happy to make a dinner reservation for you or lend you some chairs for your trip to the beach.

Peaceful little corner by the woods
We had an enjoyable time in this quiet part of the town. The location is just perfect, just 15 min away from the the base, while our friends had to stay far out (1hr drive) to get the best price. The place is a little bit dated, but we did not mind as it is really close to the base and grocery stores. The owners were also so helpful! They made sure we had everything we need and even let us used their big steamer for cooking our dumplings! Will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Donna and Andy!
Very sweet host and great property!
We had everything we needed during our stay. The host is so very sweet and welcoming! This was a great place to stay for Marine graduation as it’s less than 10 minutes from base!
Clean, quiet and private
We very much enjoyed our stay. Well furnished and had all we needed. Clean bathroom and comfy bed. Didn’t use the kitchenette. Plenty of room for a couple. If going when cold, the heater takes a little while to warm up so bring a warm sweater. Ms. Donna told us to crank the heater as much as we wanted during check in. By the time we went to bed it was toasty. Also, there is a hairdryer and many other goodies. If you forget something, check the medicine cabinet first! Thanks for a great stay in the Lowcountry.
Nice little place for Marine Graduation..30 min to visitors center.
Everything you need for doing a little cooking plus extras in pantry and owner got a bag of toys for our toddler.Inside is charming. Wish outside lighting had been better . Steep stairs..Wish spindles on railings had been closer together as we had a toddler
This was a great place. We enjoyed the apartment. It was very nice and clean. The owner was very nice. We would stay here again.
Very, Very Nice!
A pleasant, cozy little 1 BR apartment. A nice, comfortable place to stay whilst being there for our "Recruit" to complete her transition to "Marine".
Beaufort is a wonderful town, rich with history and full of friendly people. Located between Charleston and Savannah, Beaufort has a lot of the culture and excitement of a bigger city, but with a wonderful small town feel. Walk along the beautiful waterfront, enjoy dinner outside overlooking the water at one of the many great restaurants downtown has to offer, stroll along Bay Street and check out the many shops and antiques stores, or enjoy a guided carriage ride tour of the historic district. For a beach day, head to Hunting Island and enjoy the beautiful 5,000 acres of wilderness. Beaufort is home to many festivals and there is always something new to see and do!
