What a True Gem...
My wife and I wanted to get away for a quick n easy Valentine's Day and so I tried VRBO to find something relatively close and reasonable. We both like to hit venture and try new things, and hit the Casino if there is one.So often we've visited the Charles Town Casino and Horse Track, and didn't even realize there was an entire historic downtown area. Talk about a surprise and a quaint and lovely area. I can only hope it continues to grow and prosper. The downtown coffee shop we walked to and the other close shops were terrific - sure looks like an area for continued growth. We didn't want to just stay in a hotel again while hitting the Casino and nearby Harpers Ferry, and this location was an absolute grand slam. We loved the historic and charming feel of the building, mixed with the model home type apartment on the third floor that we had all to ourselves. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and looked like it was completely new. Seriously, it felt like we were in a brand new home/aparment - well constructed, quality craftsmanship, well put together... I can't say enough about it.I have plenty of Hilton and Marriott points, but didn't want to stay at a hotel. If we ever return for a weekend, rest assured we'll check on the availability of this location.We weren't able to hit the pub just a few doors down this trip...but next time we will. Thank you for a terrific place!
