If you really need to take some time away from the ‘rustle & bustle’ of city life, you are reading the right review. The cottage reminds me of my childhood home living on a farm in the Northeast. The architecture, floorplan and furnishings are all frozen in time, an ideal place refresh. The surroundings filled with trees with plenty of privacy with many sounds of nature. You will hear birds humming in the morning, followed by a visit from a the local dear in the afternoon and close the day with a almost absolute silence.
The owner is extremely kind and responsive and appreciates our need for privacy. And willing to give good references for places to see and eat. In terms of places, a short 7min walk to the beach for a casual stroll with slippers in-hand or an 8min walk to the local market for the needs for the week. If you want a un-stressed experience of happenings (film festival, boutique shopping, galleries) of the Hamptons a brief 5 min drive to the center of culture on Long Island.
