Farmhouse, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths
Hello, I grew up in Kenya and Zimbabwe, worked as an Art Director in London and New York and now work and live in Amagansett for most of the year. In the summer I travel and visit family. I love Amagansett. I think its the nicest of the hamlets with its lovely square and is so close to the stunningly gorgeous beach.
Charlotte purchased this Farmhouse in 2003
Why Charlotte chose Amagansett
This old farmhouse not only has old world charm in its four bedrooms and two bathrooms but caters amidst its antiques to a modern way of life where you can cook in the kitchen and be with your family or friends in the same large room which serves as sitting room and dining room too. The patio is right off the kitchen.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The house is airy, clean comfortable and welcoming. People who have stayed here frequently describe it as a 'friendly' house. It is. It has it's own very private garden with well developed plants and trees

Home Sweet Home
If you really need to take some time away from the ‘rustle & bustle’ of city life, you are reading the right review. The cottage reminds me of my childhood home living on a farm in the Northeast. The architecture, floorplan and furnishings are all frozen in time, an ideal place refresh. The surroundings filled with trees with plenty of privacy with many sounds of nature. You will hear birds humming in the morning, followed by a visit from a the local dear in the afternoon and close the day with a almost absolute silence.
The owner is extremely kind and responsive and appreciates our need for privacy. And willing to give good references for places to see and eat. In terms of places, a short 7min walk to the beach for a casual stroll with slippers in-hand or an 8min walk to the local market for the needs for the week. If you want a un-stressed experience of happenings (film festival, boutique shopping, galleries) of the Hamptons a brief 5 min drive to the center of culture on Long Island.
Thank you for such a lovely review. You have been really wonderful tenants, clearly very considerate in the way you treat the farmhouse, always appreciative and willing to let me show the farmhouse to prospective tenants. I'm afraid that
since the hole in the fence has been repaired, the deer won't be visiting anymore.
I would welcome you back at any time.
Lovely Amagansett Farmhouse
A third summer in the farmhouse is on the books! This is a great house for anyone who wants to enjoy all that Amagansett has to offer. It is located right on the highway, allowing for a 15 minute walk to the beach but also easy access to shopping and dining, as well as Montauk night life. Don't forget to check out Vicki's Veggies, Amber Waves Farm, Jacks Stir Brew and Bostwicks!
Farrell, it was a pleasure to have you as tenants in the Farmhouse this summer.
This is a lovely well-furnished house.
Well-appointed house within walking distance to beautiful beach and close to all the Hamptons has to offer.
It is a joy to have such lovely appreciative tenants.
We love it!
My husband and I have been renting Charlotte’s lovely farm house for the past 4 years, and we LOVE it! The house is decorated with taste and simplicity, and the many windows and skylights fill the downstairs with light and warmth in the winter months (when we are in residence). My husband and I both love to cook, so a well-appointed kitchen is important. The farm house kitchen is very well supplied, including two sets of lovely dishes and wine and champagne glasses. All this AND it’s just an easy 10-minute walk to the beach. For us, it has been the perfect weekend getaway…highly recommend it.
It was great having you as winter tenants in the farmhouse for all those years. Best wishes to you
The beach is spectacular, with great waves for surfers, lifeguards, amenities and a traditional concession hut. There's jazz, art, antiques, shops, yoga, plays, authors' readings, biking, hiking, yoga, massage and spa, tennis, art classes at the Art Barge on Nappeaugue Bay, restaurants galore, lobster rolls, clam bars and eateries of all sorts, Quail Hill organic Farm with summer memberships. There's also the not-to-miss-Longhouse botanical garden and sculptures—the Chihuli's are spectacular, concerts, recitals, movies—it's all here and then you can return to my completely private garden and listen to the birds!
