Overview

About the property

Privately nestled in old-growth woodland on a one acre lot in a Maggie Valley mountainside community, Falling Waters offers 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and lots of space for stretching out and enjoying all that mountain living has to offer. A rushing stream spans the property, pouring over boulders and filling the air with the sound of falling water. Falling Waters is perfect for

multi-family gatherings or couples looking for a beautiful mountain getaway.

On the main level, the great room is a wonderful gathering space, from the rustic wood floors to the towering cathedral ceiling, complete with skylight and a spacious, secure loft that is a favorite spot for our kids.

The great room is warmed by a gas burning Jotul fireplace, filled with comfortable furnishings and accompanied by a ‘smart’ TV system. Also on the main level of the home are two king size suites and a modern kitchen with maple cabinets and lots of counter space. The creek level of the home, renovated in 2016, has a cozy den with a smart TV entertainment system and ample comfortable furnishings. At creek level, 2 brightly-appointed adjoining bedrooms include queen and twin beds, respectively.

If you leave trash behind, we'll need to charge your account with $25

convenience fee.

Please take linen bed sheet off from beds and leave used towels on the bathroom floors.

Beautiful property close to everything but a world away.

  • 5 of 5

Our family absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Falling Waters. The house was clean and very well-kept, and the location was convenient for all the activities we had planned. We visited Asheville, went whitewater rafting and hiking. Questions we had for the hosts were answered promptly. They were gracious to provide us with some essentials (including fresh coffee beans!). We just had our family of four, but the cabin could easily sleep ten. In short, it was centrally located (based on our wish list of activities). At the same time, it was quiet (save for the soothing sound of the creek) and very private. And the family keeps the cabin in wonderful shape. The photos don't even show how amazing the creek is on this property. Our kids spent hours playing in the creek and didn't want to leave! We would recommend this cabin to any group interested in visiting the Maggie Valley area.

Owner's Response: Dear Dulcie Mishkin Thank you very much sir for sharing your review with us and future guest. We can't wait to be at our house but this year seem to be very hard for our 88 years old mom so we have to skip summer trip. But if you come back anytime please send me inquiry and we will make sure give 10% off for our formal guest. Have a wonderful Monday sir. Best regards Nattinee and Bruce Aaron

Peaceful and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Falling Waters! We housed our entire extended family of 10 and the layout of the house worked very well for us. The loft above the main floor served as an extra bedroom for the youth. Other reviewers have described the accommodations and generous amenities, which we appreciated, too.

One family unit made the mistake of following the GPS directions. Falling Waters is in Wild Acres subdivision but do NOT turn off of Rt. 19 onto Dogwood Rd at the Wild Acres sign! Instead, turn on Timberline Dr. and enter Wild Acres from that side. Then follow your GPS.

Since our ages ranged from age 2 to 70’s, we had to locate activities to interest all. Nearby Cherokee had wonderful tubing and rafting, from gentle waters for the young to challenging rapids for the athletic. We enjoyed Oconaluftee Indian Village, horseback riding, and Bear Zoo in Cherokee. Waynesville had a local recreation center with a wonderful playground and indoor children’s pool. The most athletic of our group took several challenging hikes; the nearest one was at Soco Falls. In addition, there are several fresh food markets along Rt. 19, between Maggie Valley and Cherokee, where we picked up our fruits and vegetables every day.

Maggie Valley was central to everything we wanted to do. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

We had two couples and three teenagers and this Home was perfect as we all had our own rooms. The location was perfect for the activities we planned. Close to Deep Creek Park, white water rafting and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owners have supplied most everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

The 2-level layout is different, but grows on you. The hot tub and stream are relaxing. Thank you.

Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

This home was wonderful. On a beautiful piece of property with veiws of a flowing creek. We would sit out on the spacious deck or open our windows at night to hear the relaxing sounds of the creek. Very clean, spacious, and had every amenity you would need for a getaway. The owners were very kind and responsive when we had issues with the air conditioner (it was not cooling the upper level well, but also it was unusually hot for this time of year in the mountains). They offered an additional night stay for our troubles which sadly we couldn't take advantage of because we all had to get back home. But it was the little considerations such as this that make me easily recommend this property. Not a bad drive at all to Cullowhee where we needed to go for my nephews college graduation. One tip, GPS on your phone will take you up Dogwood from HWY 19 to get to the house. It is a scary road especially if you are driving it at night. Instead, go down a little further and you will reach the road the property is on which is a much easier drive. All in all we had a fantastic weekend in this beautiful mountain home! Would definitely recommend. Thank you Bruce and Natanee.
