A fantastic fall break getaway with my high school senior. We enjoyed downtime in this cute, cozy, clean cottage! The porches were perfect for sunrise coffee before hiking waterfalls during the day, and sunset relaxing afterwards. Fantastic hosts and property! Can’t wait to go back again, that sunrise calls to me!

We just returned from the most wonderful stay at this charming farm-style home, and already want to book it again!Tucked away in the peaceful countryside, this quaint house is is so cozy and amazing. it’s beautifully secluded yet still easy to reach. The house itself is spot-on “modern farmhouse” done right: tasteful décor, cozy touches everywhere, and everything immaculately clean. The bedding was fresh and plush, and every corner of the home just felt warm and inviting.There are two fantastic porches – spend every morning with coffee watching the sunrise and every evening on the other side sipping wine as the sun went down.

Shane's Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay in Shane's Cottage! It was roomier than pictured. Everything we needed was available - plenty of kitchen ware, towels, blankets, etc. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed S'mores by the fire each evening, serenaded by frogs and crickets. Watching the fireflies come out was a sweet way to end our day. Shawn and Lester were great and their cat KoKo was super sweet!

Very clean, peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable. The house is cozy and tastefully decorated. The floorplan makes this relatively small house seem spacious. The kitchen features a gas range and oven, and plenty of quality pots and pans etc. We cooked for three nights and had all we needed to make meals. Everything in the house is new and up-to-date. Lester, the host, has lived in the house next door since 1979, and his wife did a wonderful job decorating the interior. This is a farm property where, until recently, they raised 40 head of cattle; the property is very well cared for. There are two porches, and we had wonderful breezes pretty much the whole stay. The front porch is great for welcoming the rising sun with a cup of coffee. The back porch has a table for meals, and both porches have several comfortable chairs. And no mosquitos! It is super quiet; all you hear are bird songs and the wind in the trees, and you have great views of the surrounding pastures and woods; we saw deer every morning. Lester is a good host, a very stand-up person, and a great conversationalist. A nice touch is a little outdoor grill, near the firepit. It's a little bit off the road, which doesn't have much traffic anyway. Fall Creek Falls State Park is about 20 minutes away, and Great Falls SP, about 50 minutes. Can't say enough about how great this place was. Highly recommend it if you like a very peaceful, pastoral locale with a very modern, comfortable house and a great host.

The home is amazing, beautiful inside and outside. Great touches all around. The wheelchair entrance was great to use. The shower was my favorite part.Met the Father who lives next door and he was a charmer and so sweet. Our time here was very cherished and love to come back soon! Also so close to FCF state park.
