Private Waterfront Cabin on Lake Washington

Welcome to the little house by the Lake, a single family home located in Kennydale, Washington. Our home sits on Lake Washington in a gated private enclave of four homes. The house is 800 square feet and includes a queen bed in the loft, (up one flight of stairs) a fold out couch on the main level, a full kitchen, sitting area and bathroom. We also have a washer/dryer combo for your convenience. Relax on the deck and watch the wildlife and a resident eagle. A gas BBQ is available for your use.

Tenants may use their own non-motorized watercraft such as paddle boards, canoes, kayaks or small sailing dinghys- watercraft not to exceed 10 feet.

All watercraft must be put be stored on float in front of house at night (out of the water). Moorage is not allowed for powerboats.

Water/dock access privileges are limited to paying tenants only. Non-tenants i.e. family or friends are not allowed access without prior approval

Wonderful cabin on the lake!

We spent 4 nights at this cabin and it was perfect for our needs. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helped us whenever we had questions. Check-in process was easy, the cabin was very clean, and had everything we needed to cook and make meals during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Little House on Lake Washington

We loved staying at this little house on Lake Washington. It had a beautiful view, was so cozy and decorated so well. Loved that it was close to a great hiking trail and very safe in a gated community. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Charming, comfortable, and well appointed. Lovely view, good birding, near walking trails. Ample outdoor seating for visiting.

Sweet Spot

We loved our private house on the lake! The house had all the amenities for us to cook at home and was secluded and private with quick access to town, beaches and a walking path for exercise. It is a true gem!

Lovely lake front house

I loved this property location. Quiet and right on the lake. Use of the boat launch and dock meant hours of great paddleboarding and eagle watching! Also the running-bike trail is super close by ! Just a great place with all the amenities for a lake getaway!

FABULOUS!!!

The little house was AMAZING!! The space is perfect, GREAT view and quiet. Easy access to shops in Renton, and close enough to the city that it wasn’t a burden to see all the touristy stuff. Bald eagles across the lake DAILY. What a great stay! We can’t wait to come back! Everything was perfect!

Lakefront paradise

A little house on the lake was the perfect getaway that me and my wife needed. Owners were very accommodating. The house was very clean. We spent our afternoons on the porch taking in the breathtaking views of Lake Washington. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful and charming place to stay

This is the 3rd time my wife and I have stayed at the Little House. We like it so much we have traveled to the Seattle area to stay and enjoy the property. The convenient location and beautiful views make this a great place to stay. The interior of the house has beautiful wood throughout. The kitchen is well done with everything one would need. Lighting is abundant with the sky lights adding greatly to the feel. The front porch is probably my favorite part of the house. With views over and across Lake Washington, this is a wonderful place to visit with friends or just have a drink with someone.

Excellent!

The little house is perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and watching the resident eagles. Mary was very helpful answering any questions we had. House is equipped with everything you'd need and very clean! Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. My one suggestion is if you want to sleep later than dawn you'll need to have a sleep mask. The great skylights bring in alot of light.

Restful area

The house was very nice and convenient. Enjoyed the balcony bedroom. All the amenities were great. Particularly enjoyed the blackberry bushes and the delicious blackberries. The alligator living under the porch was a little scary! Haha! It was a wooden carving. Would have appreciated a little better idea of how to locate the key to access the house. We arrived late at night and the key lockbox was not easy to find from our perspective or the house location because of the house address. It does not match numerically with the other residences. Overall, we’re very satisfied with the location and stay and accommodations.

Perfect for our Renton Visit

We were happy to find a Renton rental nearby our family. The cabin was delightful with views of the lake from the front porch and thoroughly comfortable interior. It is well furnished including a kitchen with ample cooking and tableware, and a small gas grill out back. There is a small window air conditioner which we used briefly during the hot summer days, but opened windows to a lovely cross breeze in the cool evenings. Our host greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were set, leaving us with her cell number which we did not need. The rental description and pictures were very accurate. Our stay marked the end of a two week visit and multiple vacation rentals and hotels.... we hope to come back to the Cabin on the Lake!

Beautiful place!

We really enjoyed this cute little house. It was clean nice we had coffee all sorts of teas and cold drinks in the fridge. We can definitely tell you to come and stay here. The drive to downtown Seattle was good around 30 minutes and at night 20 minutes. It was also very secure so we could leave our bikes without problems.

Peaceful Cottage

We enjoyed our time in the little lake cottage. It is very private even though it is amongst some larger homes. We felt very safe as it was in a small gated part of the neighborhood. There is one parking spot provided right next to the cottage. It is quite clean and well stocked with all necessities and includes a small washer/dryer combo unit and window a/c units both upstairs and downstairs. The private dock is a nice place to take in the sunsets and watch the wildlife. There is easy access to a walking path and a nice beach park within a quarter mile. The owner is quick to respond to any questions and very helpful. We stayed 4 weeks and got to know our way around the area pretty well. There are many options for experiencing the various cities and nature areas close by and having the cottage as our home base was perfect. We definitely would stay here again.
