Why Jim & Mary Keeler chose Fort Walton Beach
Perfect beach view, beachfront and the central location. There is no better place in the world to view the beautiful gulf and white sandy beach. Fifth floor location is ideal for view, has a balcony and it is immediately accessible to the elevator. New 65" LED TV with Ruku and Netflix in the living room plus a 32" flat screen with cable in the bedroom.
What makes this Condo unique
About 100 steps to the gulf waters, 180 degree view of the waves and the gulf, and relatively low people density compared to Destin which has higher people density is due to higher rise construction and greater depth of high rise construction from the gulf. Very close to the main drag thru FWB and Hwy 98 to Destin. Close to Ft. Walton Boardwalk, eating establishments, shopping and more. With no deposit required, low cleaning fees, a fantastic rental rate and an ultimate beachfront 5th Floor Balcony Condo location, how can you go wrong. Beach service, one umbrella and two chairs provided gratis 1 March thru 31 October.

Very well kept and good location
This is a great clean place with a excellent view. Great for a family with a few small kids. It had everything you would need to have a great vacation! Top bunk does not have a bed rail, so keep in mind for smaller children. Also, although out of control of the owners, the pool and hot tub can become quite crowded because of the large number of units in the complex. We were there over the 4th though, so the entire island was busy. Thanks Jim and Mary for a great place to vacation!
Great Family Vacation Spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ft. Walton Beach. Our condo was just as it was described and owners were easily accessible if we had needed anything. Family members stayed at other units at this property and were equally satisfied.
Great budget rental
Property has an amazing view from the balcony, room itself was clean. Owners were easy to get in touch with. Every item needed to prepare meals was available. Another bonus to this room is the fireworks on Wednesday nights fron the pier can be seen from the balcony.
Negatives : Island Princess property doesn't have anyone available in the office after 5pm to monitor the grounds to ensure pool/spa rules are being followed. The room has a lock box with key inside, I feared that any of the previous guests could've made a spare key and gotten into the room, maybe an electronic entry would guests feel safer. Bed nor sofa was very comfortable.
All in all great condo for the price!
Thank you for your wonderful review. Island Princess has full time on site security that roams the property or is in the maintenance office at West end ground floor. The office you are apparently referring is rented by a property management company who rents some units in the building. Master BR matteress is a mid firm memory foam that is one year old. Sofa bed is like all sofa beds and not very comfortable for most adults. We have had no security problems using our deadbolt and doorknob locked door with a key or with the key being copied. Electronic systems may not be infallible and may fail.
Water was so nasty
Owners are weird .... to many calls and text
Booked for one person and used all six sleeping spaces. Would not answer texts to verify arrival or departure. We have self check in and must know when occupied. Wet sand from kids toys and sand bucket all over floors and deck. First low rating ever. June grass sometimes arrives in June. This was the only report I heard of marginal water quality in our area.
Sun and Sand
Property is center unit with incredible beach view. Easy access to pool and sand.
Well equipped kitchen, clean comfortable beds.
Just off the coast and into Henderson Beach State Recreation Area is the Gulfarium Marine and Show Aquarium. Gulfarium has been around since 1955 and since then has offered entertainment and education for the entire family. Visitors can interact with the dolphins by petting, feeding and helping them perform tricks.
The Air Force Armament Museum is just three miles outside of Fort Walton Beach and on the grounds of the Eglin Air Force Base. The Air Force Armament Museum features a wide variety of aircraft from most of the American wars including World War I and II, Vietnam as well as modern planes used today.
The Okaloosa Island Boardwalk is right on the beach and less than 1 mile from the condo. It has a wide variety of attractions for anyone interested in walking on the boardwalk. It is the main beach attraction for locals and visitors alike. There are public restrooms, showers, volleyball nets, oceanside restaurants, shopping, picnic areas and plenty of free parking available. While shopping and restaurants are not free, the use of the beach, picnic areas, showers and restrooms are free and there is no charge for walking along the boardwalk, volleyball, people watching and soaking up the beach atmosphere. Summertime events and entertainment are available, though the exact entertainment options change from year to year. Some of the top places are Old Bay Steamer, Howl at the Moon, The Black Pearl, The Crab Trap, High Tide, Pandora's for steak and many more.
After the sun goes down, you can dance the night away at the Swamp or check out at one of the many concerts hosted there.
