Harding's Beach Area
About Bob Sneden
I was born in New York but my family moved, when I was ten years old, to Chatham, where we always spent our annual two week summer vacation. While in high school I started mowing lawns and doing other yard work to earn money. That was a long time ago and I'm still at it! I've been running my own small landscaping maintenance business for about 40 years now with about 100 accounts, all in Chatham. Many of them are rental properties and I always thought I'd like to own a rental property of my own. Now I do! Other interests of mine include music....I'm a big jazz fan and enjoy checking out the local live music scene. Also I am a 30 year member of the Chatham Town Band.(trombone... come up and say 'hello' if you go to the Friday night concert !). And I love traveling in the off season winter months. These days I spend a good part of the winter in Bali, Indonesia and Chiang Mai, Thailand. Having lived here nearly my entire life, I know Chatham well and live nearby.I will be glad to help make your vacation stay as enjoyable as possible in any way I can. Need a suggestion for a local seafood restaurant? Need something to do with the kids on a rainy day? Don't hesitate to pick up the phone to ask for advice!

Charming, well-appointed home in quiet area near Harding Beach
This is a lovely, spotless, charming home with everything you might need in a quiet area close to Hardings Beach. It is even nicer than the photos. Bob is a gracious host, easy to reach and very responsive. We will not hesitate to stay here again.
We loved our stay!
We were 4 adults, 7 year old and a dog.
We absolutely loved our stay at this property. It is spacious and has an open floor plan. The patio was fun to hang out in, grill and enjoy wine. The house sits on a quiet path is 4 minutes from the Oyster river. Harding beach is a 5 min drive. We spent time at both.
Bob was polite, responsive and efficient. He stopped by when we checked in to make sure that our questions were addressed.
Terrific time. We will be back. We love Chatham!
Chatham after the 4th
Delightful stay. We were 2 couples and both had master suites. We would recommend it.
Enjoyable vacation home
My husaband, 4 teenagers and I enjoyed staying at this lovely house in Chatham. The house is very well laid out with lots of room to spread out. The upstairs master bedroom with balcony is very nice and the 2 downstairs bedrooms are nice and the beds are all very comfortable. There is window A/C if needed or you can open windows to catch the offshore breeze. The outside deck with table is great for outdoor meals. And the outdoor shower was a hit with the kids. The living room and dining areas have comfy sofas which made it easy to relax. The kitichen is well stocked - even better now as I asked for a few things that were either missing or broken - Bob very quickly brought over new kitchen items/equipment. I found Bob to be very helpful when I needed something or if something didn't work - I would just send him a text and he would come over that day. But he did not bother us at all. We met him on the first day, he is very nice, and he said he would not bother us for the week unless we contacted him and needed something. So that worked out fine. One minor issue - the kids said the internet was a bit weak - although I personally never had any trouble getting on Google using my laptop. It was not a hardship and the kids had a really awesome week going to the various beaches, shopping, and just relaxing. I used the kitchen a lot to cook meals as eating out a lot with kids gets expensive. The kitchen is spacious and the island is great for breakfast and snacks. The kids also had fun cooking some meals/snacks.
Hardings beach is a short 5 min car ride and I found that to be my favorite beach as the water is much warmer than the beaches on the Outer Cape. And it has the best sunset! It does tend to get kelp later in the day when the tide comes in and some kelp during the day. That did not bother us as the water was so warm for swimming. I discovered some favorite shops in Chatham - the jam and jelly shop and the Pie shop! And Orleans is a short 20 min drive to the artists cottages and shops. One restaurant that we liked in Chatham was the Chatham Squire -excellent sea food. And the kids liked Jomoma's Bagels for a casual lunch. We also did a seal boat tour with Blue Claws and that was a hit with the teenagers. The bike path is about a 10 min bike ride up off of George Ryder Rd. and it goes through Chatham and is fun to do. Overall a great week in Chatham on Cape Cod. I would recommend this house for a very comfortable stay!
Summer vacation 2019
Our family had a wonderful time staying at this house. We went on a many walks with our dog exploring the beautiful nooks and crannies of Chatham. The house was very clean and comfortable with a nice enclosed patio area where we had a couple of BBQ’s. Hardings Beach is great, but this is also close to Ridgevale Beach which is especially fun for kids. Bob was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with all around.
My family and i really loved this place. We rented it for a week and it was great. The location is awesome. It is in a quiet area, and a quick drive to hardings beach. The house had everything we could ever need. Bob was great. I read a review about Bob being a “pest”. That was definitely not the case, quite the opposite. He was available anytime we needed him for anything but left us alone otherwise. We will definitely be staying here again.
Thanks, Rick..... hope to see you again!!
