OCEAN FRONT in the very best area of South Mission Beach.

There really is nothing like being ocean front. A beach vacation is always nice but the difference from being a few blocks away from the ocean and being ocean front is really like being miles apart. This is an opportunity to be ocean front in South Mission Beach one of the premiere locations any where in the world and our location is away from the large parking lots where the beach gets crowded. Many days at our house you'll feel like you are on a private beach. Treat your family to an OCEAN FRONT vacation and you'll never want to stay anywhere else.

Fantastic views from this second floor unit, a five bedroom three bath that comfortably sleeps 12. Downstairs step onto the beach or enjoy our 50 foot wide ocean front patio with tables, loungers and umbrellas with shade. We also have a one bedroom that sleeps four at the same address VRBO 560930.

Ocean front living and dining room that seats twelve. TV room with smart TV. Directly off of the dining room is your upstairs deck with a gas grill, it's perfect for people watching and always one of our guests favorite places.

Seven beds total. King bed in master bedroom with attached bathroom, Two bedrooms with queen beds. One bedroom with a king and twin bed which has a separate entry. One bedroom with a single twin bed and there is also a queen sleeper in living room. All linens provided. Direct-TV in all rooms.

A maximum of 12 people are allowed on the property at any time. No events or parties are allowed, we are best suited as a family getaway. No bachelor or bachelorette parties. Quiet time must be observed between 10:00 pm and 9:00 am. this is strictly enforced.

Music must never be loud enough to be heard outside your residence. Amplified music is not allowed at any time. If your noise can be heard by your neighbors, then it is too loud. The regulation must be observed 24 hours a day. San Diego Municipal code 59.5.0501, 59.5.0502

OUTDOOR
Deck talk and music must not bother your neighbors and after 10:00 pm must cease or be taken inside your residence. Even moderate conversation will carry because of the close proximity of the houses in Mission Beach. Loud or boisterous activity will not be tolerated. Cost of police response will be charged by the police to those people occupying the property. San Diego Municipal Code 59.5.051, 59.5.0502

If you find that you have to do a little tel-commuting while on vacation there is one desk in the living room and two bedrooms have a desk as well.

Fully furnished well equipped kitchen with top of the line Wolf oven and stove to prepare your favorite meals, Sub-Zero refrigerator and beautiful Brazilian river rock granite counter tops.

Satellite TV in all rooms and free WIFI access.

Downstairs step onto the beach or enjoy your 50 foot wide ocean front patio equipped with table, chairs, loungers and umbrellas.

Just a block away you'll find a liquor store, a grocery store, a coffee shop, a pizzeria, a bar & grill and take out Mexican food.

We're a five minute drive from Sea World, a 20 minute drive to the world famous San Diego Zoo and about 40 minutes to Lego Land. San Diego is home to many golf courses including Torrey Pines about 30 minutes away.

Tandem outside parking for two cars, trucks or SUV's you won't have a parking problem here.

This is a really terrific family property! We stayed here with our children and grandchildren. The unit is well stocked with all the essentials like toilet paper, trash bags, and soap (it’s always annoying when we have to buy these things on vacation). There are many thoughtful touches, like two coffee pots (a Keurig and a regular pot) and lots of throw blankets. There are plates and utensils for children, as well as a high chair and crib. We were able to do all our laundry in the unit’s washer and dryer (there was even laundry soap). The location is amazing! It was wonderful to be right on the beach, and Belmont Park is an easy walk. There’s a small grocery store right across the street. We were very comfortable here and had a fantastic stay. The only drawback to this property is the lack of air conditioning, but there are fans in every room, so we managed. This small thing would not keep us from going back, though, and I highly recommend it!

Wonderful Beach Retreat!

Lovely Beachfront

My family rented the larger unit above plus this unit, and we loved having the room, yet some separation. This unit has amazing beach-level views, a great kitchen, nice couch and sitting area. We really enjoyed it!

Beautiful and spacious beach house

What a great location and view. The property looks out over the Pacific Ocean and is just steps from the boardwalk. Our group enjoyed the close access and wonderful ambiance of Mission Beach. We even were surprised by a dolphin pod in the morning that were out hanging with the surfers.

location was fantastic. Larry was super responsive I texted about the beech facing windows where salt stained and within an hour he had someone there to clean. some of the floor covering where stained but loved the kitchen and the supplies. would definitely do again

The kitchen needed to be a little bit more clean,especially the microwave and the toaster, but other than that it was great the carpet underneath the dining room table it needs to be tacked down or remove. It was becoming a tripping hazard.

Plenty of Charm in a Perfect Location

My family and I had the best time in San Diego, thanks in large part to this wonderful location right on the beach. Our party included my wife and me (38 & 40), her parents (both 70), and our children plus a girlfriend (21, 20, 14, 6, & 4) and even among that wide range of ages everyone enjoyed this house. Obviously the proximity to the beach and walkability of Mission Beach is the main draw, but the house itself has lots of beachy charm and character. Remember, though, beach houses are hard to keep perfectly clean so if you like sparkling, spotlessly clean you might have to get used to it but it is a beach house. Oh, speaking of, the parking situation is actually decent (tight fit but no weird walls or small garages like lots of these properties have) and the instructions to get in are very clear. I already miss staying here.

Beach bliss

Home is large and spacious which is rare for oceanfront in mission. Clean and nice kitchen. Beautiful beach view from living room. Nice access to small outdoor patio on second floor with bbq grill and beach view. If there was anything to complain about it would have to be the walk downstairs to access the beach view patio - but that was easily overlooked with it being large and spacious. Pro tip- bring a volleyball- you will have access To the many nearby sand courts- we had a blast. Larry is accessible and quick to respond!

Definitely ocean front

This house has an amazing view. The kitchen had a great wolf stove that I love. We had rain so we stayed in one night made dinner and played games. Wasn’t crazy about hauling all our stuff upstairs and down. Wish it had a table and chairs on the top deck. The house was clean and cozy. Just enough beds and baths for 8 of us. But like I said the view was amazing.

Way overpriced considering overall condition of property; you're paying for views and location only.

Positives: Good location, great view and decent TV Negatives: Way overpriced considering dirty carpet (should be cleaned and/or replaced), dirty windows and display case glasses, crowded living room (should remove out-of-tune piano), couch cushions worn out and sliding off, no secure WiFi as advertised, dining too small for 12, , bad driveway ramp causes cars to scrape, dull cooking knives and worn out sink stopper, worn out chaise lounges, poor communication with owner.

The perfect location!

We had an excellent time at Larry’s beach house. The location can’t be beat, you are steps from the sand, walking distance to nearby coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and Belmont Park. The house is very spacious, we were very comfortable with 7 adults, an 11 year old and a 2 year old. Yes it’s dated, they could reduce the amount of furniture in the unit to make it a bit more spacious, but we’re not paying for esthetics, we paid for the location and view and it worked well for us. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Lots of beach towels on hand. There were beach toys available for the kids, and some boogie boards too. The 2 parking spots were perfect, we had a mini van and small SUV and they fit perfectly. We had a third car and easily found nearby street parking as well (just pay attention to street cleaning days and hours!) My biggest complaint is just the cleanliness of the carpets (need a deep cleaning or replacement) and same with the grill, it could use a good cleaning or replacement, we decided not to use it. Overall the unit was nice and spacious, and again, you can’t beat the view and location!!

The location of this place is amazing. The beach is pristine. The sand is soft. Walking distance to Belmont, but not too close. Volleyball courts just outside. Upstairs location with patio is terrific for beach views. The home is older, and there are definitely things that need upgrades and cleaning. (Carpet should be replaced, master shower needs an overhaul, grill needs to be cleaned etc.) Owner was very nice to work with. Just know that you are getting an older beach home, and you are going for the beach location.

Wonderful Beachfront

Three generations of our family really enjoyed the 2nd level of this beach house. There was plenty of space for everyone It was well stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, dish clothes, beach and bath towels, unlike a previous VRBO. The location is great, a short walk to Belmont Park, and sunsets are amazing. Be cautious parking, one of our cars scraped. It was a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning.

MBSD Dual-Celebration

I lived in Mission Beach in my early 20’s. I used to jog to the jetty and I’d see all the families enjoying themselves in the oceanfront rentals, and I said to myself “someday I want to do that with my family.”Well someday came! My sister & I rented this house to celebrate both my niece’s 21st birthday and my son’s graduation from SDSU! It was a wonderful house with plenty of bedrooms & space for our large group. The owner even dropped off an ice chest, upon my request - very appreciated! I would definitely rent it again, if needed. Highly recommend!

Why they chose this property

Ocean Front! steps from the sand. We think South Mission beach is San Diego's finest. We are located away from large parking areas so the beach in front of our house is very quiet. Pretty much the only people on the beach are those who live or are renting in a few square block area.

What makes this property unique

Ocean Front! Awesome views from the living and dining rooms. It's an ever changing picture. The outside second story deck area is perfect for people watching and BBQ's. We love to skate and bike ride on the boardwalk which runs along the ocean and also extends around Mission Bay. Literally five minutes away from Sea World and fifteen minutes away form the San Diego Zoo. Awesome views from sun up to sunset.
