Welcome to my home! A beautiful and spacious 900 foot totally private lower level apartment space with your own entrance. This 1924 home on a double lot was completely updated in 2010 and has a large back yard for guests. Located in the inner NE neighborhood of North Tabor - a short hop to all of the great east-side neighborhoods with a 5-minute walk to a MAX train stop. Very easy access to downtown by train or a 15-minute drive by car. 5-minute drive (15 blocks) to Providence Hospital.

Filled with lovely colors and lots original art by Northwest artists, there is a new QUEEN bed, plus a TWIN bed in the large STUDIO-SYTLE space. The beds are firm foam with temperature sensitive toppers and all-cotton sheets. (A privacy curtain can be pulled to separate the two sleeping areas.) In the sitting area is a 32" TV with DVD player and free WIFI. A desk and bookshelves allows for a comfortable place for computer work. (Please note that we do not have full TV cable channels.)

The kitchen is a separate room with a table and chairs, stainless refrigerator, sink, microwave, hot plate, toaster oven, coffee maker and lots of dishes, utensils and pans. The appliances are new and function well. The only appliance that is "missing" is a full range/oven.

This spotlessly clean home includes comfy all-cotton towels and sheets. The large updated bath is tiled, with a tub/shower combination.

If needed in the summer, there is a portable air conditioner to keep the space very cool. And a small electric fireplace for extra heat and atmosphere in the winter.

(Please note that a washer and dryer are not available.)

Lots of free parking on the street. Two egress windows. Fenced back yard with table and chairs.

There are several stairs to the lower level, but once you are inside everything is on one level, a spacious 900 feet. The two owners live very quietly upstairs on the main floor. You may occasionally see us and 2 small 10-pound allergy-free Maltese dogs come or go, but we are very quiet. The dogs are never unattended or left alone in the house. As the owner, I am available to answer questions, and always answer my phone! If I am not available I will return your call asap. No exceptions.

15-minute drive to downtown Portland (5 miles away). 5-minute walk to a MAX train line. You can arrive directly by train from the airport and easily hop on the train to go downtown, to the Convention Center, Zoo, Expo Center, Hollywood and Lloyd District neighborhoods... The house is two blocks from a grocery store and coffee shop. 20-minute walk to Mt Tabor Park. 5 to 10-minute drive to major close-in neighborhoods such as Hollywood, NE Broadway, SE Division, SE Hawthorne, SE Belmont, SE Burnside and 28th Ave (tons of restaurants on each of these streets!) and a 15 minute drive to NE Alberta St and N Mississippi Ave. Providence Hospital is in the neighborhood, 5 minute drive.

The neighborhood is a small pocket that is still old Portland, with new Portland updates. It is very quiet, as there is virtually no through traffic, yet is within minutes to freeway access, bus and train lines, and you can be downtown by car in 10 minutes. Although the map looks like it is close to the freeway (2 blocks away), there is a large wall to diminish noise; it is virtually undectable in my yard, and has no impact inside the house.

NO ADDITIONAL OVERNIGHT GUESTS OTHER THAN THOSE ON ORIGINAL CONTRACT. $10 per night extra for 3rd overnight guest. Of course guests may visit you, although no parties.

I do not reserve for periods longer than 28 days.

Guests are welcome to use the front porch and back yard.

This is a completely updated 1924 bungalow, so there are many comforts that can't be found in other older homes. The double lot in the middle of a city offers a lot of privacy that is not possible in homes with smaller lots. The two-car garage (now my silversmithing studio) and quiet neighborhood clinched the deal when purchasing this home several years ago.

lovely bungalow

my husband & I stayed at the bungalow for 5 nights for our anniversary & to visit family. What a beautiful house!! Very bright, relaxing, comfortable & homey. Great art throughout, very quiet, gorgeous yard & had everything we could need. Weather was perfect, conveniently located, owners very nice & helpful-easy & wonderful to work with, was a pleasure to meet them & their sweet little dog =) didn't want to leave & can't wait to go back, so much to do in Portland. Many stores, restaurants & bars nearby as well!! Would recommend this bungalow to anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to stay.

Great place to stay for visiting Portland.

Great location to either side of Portland. Great access to get the airport. The house was very clean, organized, floor plan is great. Great for three or two people. Owner is very easy to reach and cares about the guest. I will see if the place is available on my next trip to Portland.

Clean, quiet and classy

Having stayed right downtown before, we were pleasantly surprised with available parking, a quiet neighborhood for sleeping, yet easy access to cafes, downtown or the highways to get way out into the country. All appliances and furnishings are of high quality. Lighting, artwork and décor helped make this a great place to stay.

A home away from home!

This home is PERFECTLY located near the transit system that zips you right down town. Every morning, only because I didn't want to make my own coffee even though I could have, I walked to the grocery store that was just around the corner. Starbucks was inside happy to serve a hot latte. Even though this home is located near the freeway, it is SILENT. Lets see, oh the water pressure in the shower was perfect, beds comfy, kitchen fully stocked, plenty of space and we even brought movies to watch. Wifi was awesome and the owner, Stephanie gave us the best tips on sights to see and where to eat. Don't pass this place up!

Fantastic!!

Loved our stay. What a wonderful property and Stephanie and Angelo are such gracious hosts. Their new puppy is adorable!! The pictures do not do this apartment justice. Did not expect so much room! Great location, love the east side, easy to find and get to. Would like to stay here a week to continue to explore Portland.

Thank you and would recommend to anyone, but want to insure it is open for our next visit!!!
