I have been going to Frankfort since 1968. First single, then with my husband and children and now with my children and grandchildren. Trust me when I tell you, I have stayed EVERYWHERE!! This year we stayed at Serenity House. I booked on line and was promptly greeting and given instructions for the months to come. I knew months in advance when my final payment would be due, how to obtain keys, etc.. Most places in Frankfort demand an exact 7 day stay. We did not have seven days and they worked with us! I had two concerns before arriving....with two small children, would be disturb others in the other apartments? Where would we find parking on Main Street with the most popular beach less than two blocks away? Upon arrival, we quickly learned there is very convenient parking in the back of the house! Our suite slept 8. There is a small kitchen that served all of our needs. Two bedrooms...One with a queen bed and the other....two queens and a single. The living room is adequate, as one quickly learns there is so much to do, you sure don't sit in front of the TV!! It is not ultra modern, nor should it be. It is like renting a vacation cottage! We met other families on the porch and were very surprised many of them also had small children in their units, yet we never heard a word!!It was the perfect space for us. Not only are you incredibly close to the beach, you are within walking distance of everything! The front porch is an added bonus. Sit with coffee in the morning and watch the boats entering the harbor, or sit in the evening with a glass of wine and people watch. It's great! There are parks, restaurants, bars, tons of shopping and activities for every age. What a great area and great place to stay. I can't believe we overlooked this gem for so long! We will most certainly return!!
