About the host
Hosted by Sarah McCallum
My family has a long history of innkeeping. My grandmother, Nancy Bannister, owned the Sunset Valley Resort Motel and 13 waterfront cottages on M-22 in Arcadia in the 1960's. Our family has been enjoying Benzie County for years and we'd love to share our experiences with you and help you create your own memories.
Why they chose this property
My father Tim Bannister purchased Serendipity House in 2007 and lovingly restored the c.1890 historical home. He often referred to the house as a "she" and after painting, fixing or planting flowers on the porch he could be heard to exclaim in a campy sailor's voice "she's looking good yar!"
What makes this property unique
Close to everything! One block from the sparkling waters and sandy beach of Lake Michigan and one block from downtown.
