Perfect little quirky rental for a wedding/parents night away. Central to downtown and many local places. Parking was easy and the boat was adorable. Would definitely stay here again.
It was so very quaint and what one would expect from a Vintage boat. Proximity to food, shopping etc was as stated.Beautiful scenery. However, the nightclub was very unexpected and not conducive for sleeping. If one is looking for peace, quiet and an early night this would not be recommended as a place to stay.
Great little boat for a fun stay. The clubs nearby were loud that night but it's part of the ambiance. The upper deck was so great for hanging out at night. Overall, highly recommend for a great time.

We wanted a unique experience so staying on a boat in the marina was perfect. It’s in a great location and felt safe for two women. Everything was clean and as expected. We had rain other than our first night- so that night we took advantage of the cool upper deck of the boat.
This property was quaint and I would say rustic. However we enjoyed the ambiance and location. If you are older and not so nimble, getting into and out of the cabin could be difficult. We had no trouble finding on street parking.
This was such a fun experience. Very clear parking and check in instructions were provided. The boat is just adorable. We planned to go sightseeing in the area, however we decided to purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy on the top deck instead. The area was very secure, and we felt extremely safe. I would definitely recommend and I hope to stay here again.
We had a great time staying on this boat. No problems with check-in, and good communication with the owner. The location can't be beat, with a variety of places to go and things to do well within walking distance. And being able to sit outside on the deck with a martini was wonderful. No complaints really, though I'd suggest putting a piece of plywood under the futon mattresses to make them more comfortable, and perhaps a horizontal bar to aid in accessing the cabin. Honestly though, I'd be happy to come back for another stay.

My two kids and I were pleasantly surprised by the comfort of this old houseboat. It required some stooping and climbing of steep steps, but the spectacular views, fresh ocean breeze, and proximity to fabulous bars, restaurants, and cultural landmarks was more than worth it. Any questions we had regarding the boat and its surroundings were quickly answered by our host, Erin.
Directions for check-in were clearly provided. We parked on the street overnight about a block away, in the morning I moved to the street right outside the dock. Car was safe. Kitchen was basic, no microwave. But you’re on a boat, give up some luxuries. The club was loud, and went until 1 AM on Sunday night. But we went to bed turned on the AC and slept great. Wickelnden Street was quaint and had a lot of good eateries. The river walk was enjoyable. We had plenty to do within walking distance. I would stay there again. It was a great area for our first trip to Providence.
This Vrbo was what you might expect of a vintage boat. Some of the things that weren’t terribly pleasant were nature of staying on a vintage boat, but here were the main pain points that were less related:
-there are two clubs right next to the marina where the boat is. Over the weekend, the clubs were playing very very loud music until 1-3am in the morning, even if it was empty inside
-there are spiders in every nook in the boat. My traveling partner and I are not afraid of spiders, so this was ok for us, but this might not be the best place for you if you do have a fear of them. They did not get in our way or bother us, but they are all over.
-The rug in the boat is made of some kind of fibers that get everywhere. Once I realized what they were, the place didn’t feel dirty, but before this realization it looked like there was fine pet hair and flecks of something everywhere. This was just the rug fibers getting into the bed sheets and spread across the place but we were always brushing them off the beds and our clothes
-The boat has many many windows and the curtains were all see through
Beyond this, there were other small details that were not comfortable such as a lack of microwave, dishes that were not fully clean, and a lack of security.
Pros of the boat: walkable to Providence’s touristy attractions, lots of delicious places to eat nearby, right next to a Trader Joe’s, beautiful views of the river and cityscape, fun to be on the water, clear communication frm host
