Apartment 3 Bed, 2 Bath (Sleeps 6)

This superbly located 2nd and 3rd floor family flat was recently renovated. The top floor living room and kitchen is full of light with an amazing roof terrace and spectacular views of the Shard and St Paul's.

Although stylish, the emphasis is still very homely and child friendly (we live in the ground floor flat below most of the year).

The bedrooms are all located on the same floor. We have two large bedrooms both with queen beds and very high quality mattresses. One bedroom is with an ensuite shower and WC.

There is a third bedroom with double bed and again good quality mattress.

All our linen is 100% cotton.

On the next Mezzanine floor up there is a bathroom with tub and shower and WC.

On the top floor is the kitchen, living room and terrace.

Quaint Charming Home Away from Home

We stayed in this flat over Christmas 2016 for 8 days. There were 5 of us and the bedroom configuration didn't really suit out group. That didn't matter - Emily and John looked after us with another mattress which was able to be put into one of the rooms.

The flat is quaint and charming from your arrival. The top floor flat is situated over 3 floors - 1 has the bedrooms, one has the bathroom and the other the living room. There is a terrace off the Living Room and it has a view to die for!!! There's a few flights of stairs to get to with heavy baggage - worth the walk though.

The location is set about equidistance from the Angel tube station and the St Pancras / Kings Cross tube, national rail and International Rail lines. Upper Street at the Angel is a mini shopping mecca and the surrounds have plenty to offer in terms of pubs and restaurants.

The flat is well furnished, keeping a lovely charm about it with old style iron beds (which was the best I slept on in my entire 1 month stay in Europe) and other rustic furniture. The living area is large enough to accommodate a large group and is a tasteful mixture of new, funky and old. It's VERY well equipped - le creuset cookware and other good quality (as I think because the owners are chefs who run a catering and cooking class company.

The wifi works well with no glitches and the tv is well equipped with channels if that's what you like at the end of a big day sightseeing. There is also a USB reader on the tv so if you bring a USB with preloaded movies, you're set.

There were a couple of light bulbs blown which didn't get fixed before the owners left for their Christmas trip but that was the only down side.

We brought our own Christmas tree, lights and Christmas hats as well as some tinsel and other decorations. We've left them in a box for the next visitors who happen to be there in the flat over Christmas. You're welcome :)

This property is so worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone with a group who needs an apartment of this size. Thanks Emily and John.

Amazing place!!!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here, and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. Sitting on the roof deck with your morning coffee, or an evening beer, with a gorgeous view. And hanging out with the crows and magpies... I miss it so much. The kitchen/living room area is also a fantastic space... Very open and beautifully decorated. I love all the little details... Unique furniture pieces, and interesting hardware everywhere. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect flat near Kings Cross/St. Pancras.

This wifi-accessible apartment was perfect for the five of us (four adults and one teenager). Clean and well-maintained, with three ample bedrooms, two bathrooms (each equipped with showers and one of the two being en suite in the master bedroom), the flat also had an ample TV-equipped living room/dining room/kitchen with a nice balcony overlooking St. Paul's Cathedral. Within easy walking distance of restaurants, a market area, and supermarkets, the fully stocked kitchen freed us from eating out all the time. The kitchen is also equipped with a washing machine, with a drying rack on the balcony.

The apartment was within easy walking distance of the Kings Cross/St Pancras stations for easy access to London's subway system, as well as the Eurostar train for Paris. The hosts are in adjacent flat, very kind, and helpful with all manner of suggestions for eating out, buying groceries, and getting to and from the flat. I will recommend this apartment to relatives and friends and plan to stay there again during future trips to London.

Super flat for family of 4

The flat in Islington run by Emily and John was terrific and packed with the essentials and more. The 2 story set up provided ample space for the 4 of us and a convenient location to hop onto the tube at King's Cross/St. Pancras within an easy 10 minute walk. Emily provided a helpful little map that highlighted the local points of interest (markets, restaurants etc) at the outset. As a frequent VRBO/HomeAway customer, the flat was one of the best.

Great for a Team on Business!

We found this place for a team of six, occupying two of the three units at this location. It gave everyone just enough privacy to enjoy a week of work and play in London, along with a great venue for group work when we needed to!

Emily and John were very welcoming and made sure everything we needed was at our disposal. I would highly recommend staying here for an extended stay in London!

Fabulous Flat!

After one night in a small hotel room, our family came to this fabulous flat for the remainder of our stay in London. The apartment was even nicer than the photos showed-very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. We stayed for a week. The teen-agers were so comfortable there, that it was hard at times to get them out to do things. Nice neighborhood close to great restaurants, markets, bike shares, tube stations - everything you would want. John and Emily were wonderful hosts. The whole family agrees that one of the best parts of the trip was staying here. The roof deck/terrace is such a relaxing spot with a great view!

The Grade II listed townhouse is set in a conservation area of Georgian London and whilst very quiet, the busy and vibrant neighborhoods of Islington and Clerkenwell are just five minutes away, offering theaters, cinemas, a fantastic range of shops, bars and restaurants. Exmouth Market is a very tranquil and friendly pedestrianized street with back to back bars and restaurants. Chapel Market is a traditional fruit and veg market near the Angel which operates every day. Lots of great places to eat and hang out like real Londoners! With Kings Cross tube also only a few minutes walk away this is the ideal hub for almost anywhere in London.
