One of the most desirable beaches in the world, as seen on travel channel’s top ten beaches numerous times. The home is perfect for those looking for a relaxing, exciting, perfect vacation in paradise. Tucked back in a quiet neighborhood off the bike path. World class surf break “Backyards” directly in front of house with “Sunset” “Rocky Point” and “Pipeline” steps away! The beach in front of the house is absolutely breathtaking and hardly used as there is no public access to it close to the home. The water is crystal clear and the snorkeling is great.

The home is less than ten minutes from the historic town of Haleiwa, which is the main town on the north shore of Oahu. It has lots of restaurants, shopping, a marina (in case you would like to go deep sea fishing), and live entertainment nightly in some of the restaurants. About five miles away from the house in the other direction, are two championship golf courses, horseback riding, lots of amazing restaurants, and several bars. Ted’s Bakery is walking distance from the homes with some of the best food on this side of the island. There are always exciting surf competitions to watch during the winter months such as the Triple Crown(Pipeline Masters which is the super bowl of surfing) and the much anticipated Eddie Aikau Invitational.

There is a great Supermarket “Food Land” about a half mile from the house, which also has a Starbucks coffee shop. All the Island activities, from scuba diving, to jet-skis are all just minutes away from this tropical retreat. Scuba diving is also a major attraction on the North Shore with both boat and shore dives available. Waimea Falls is only a mile away, and hiking at Waimea Valley and visiting the falls is an unforgettable experience. The property is 1 of 9 properties in all of the North Shore that gets an unobstructed view of the sunset over the water 365 days of the year!(very very special!!)

A nice place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

The hut is small but serves its purpose well. There were five of us staying there. Three boys 8, 4, and 2, and two adults. It was intimate and we made it work. Loved having a washer and dryer accessible right outside the door. Loved that there were several fans. The bed was a little stiff and we put three boys on the hide-a-bed in the living/dinning room. It was nice having a full kitchen.

We spent a lot of time at the beach in the sand and waves. It would have been nice to have a detachable shower head in the out door shower.

The bedroom had a small AC unit behind the door, but it did not work well to cool the place off. There were to many windows for it to be effective. When the wind was blowing, it was nice and kept everything cool. However, the first two days there was no wind. It was pretty warm, but manageable.

Booking was easy. Would recommend staying here. When considering the hut, there is a bedroom with a queen bed and a queen size hide-a-bed in the living room. Not much room for anything else even on the floor.

Beautiful Property

  • 4 of 5

The hula hut is absolutely adorable! The beach is breathtaking. No crowds at all! Truly the best place on the island to watch the sunset. The backyard is the perfect place for kids to play and for adults to just relax while taking in the beautiful views. We enjoyed our time on the property.

What an Adorable Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Travelled to O'ahu and Big Island and this Cottage was our first stop. We wanted to stay in a cool, off the beaten path, quiet place near the beach and this place fit the bill perfectly. Good stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, beach stuff, etc., were all there. The location was awesome, in the middle of all the gorgeous snorkeling, surfing and swimming beaches. We saw rainbows almost every morning!

Very quaint, cute and quiet place. The owners were also super helpful and friendly!

Hula hut is a pocket of paradise with Backyards as your backyard (surf break)

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I consider our stay at the Hula Hut a massive highlight of the time we spent in Hawaii. The cosy and homely hut was perfect for a couple with all amenities in perfect working condition meaning we could cook at home too. Location fantastic, with famous Ted's bakery across the road. The sunset over the beach was spectacular and Dan loved the surf break at his back door step. As there are three accommodation options on the one property you are sharing common space with other families, and the only down fall was toddler noise from the neighbours early in the morning which is no big deal, just not sound proof windows in the hut - on the plus sound the crashing waves put me to sleep! :) Tyler and Melissa are legends, we thank them for having us stay at their home and hope to return.

Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I recently stayed here for 5 nights while the Pipeline Masters were on. The location is absolutely breath taking and a short bike ride to where the action was on. There was bikes provided which is great as everything is quite close and only short bike ride to food, beaches and Pipeline. The outside area is gorgeous any time of day to read a book, relax on the beach straight out the front or have a drink while watching the sun go down. This location is as close to paradise as you can get and complete water front! We did not want to leave.

The owners went over and above to make our stay most enjoyable. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, it was clean, comfortable and great place to rest your head at night. You can hear the waves crashing while your fall asleep which was so relaxing. The ample space for a car as well. I couldn’t recommend this place anymore! Thanks Tyler and Melissa we will be back… one day.

Pros, the location on the island was good . the size of the hut was good for 2 people ,the food trucks where great . Cons , Dirty , mold in bathroom , paint falling off ceiling in bathroom ,half the windows didn't work ,the window screens where so bent up you had tons of mosquitos in the house , you could here every word the neighbors said and the worse thing was the bed witch was the hardest piece of garbage I have ever see and we travel all over the world , That bed is junk. And with all the light shining in the bedroom don't plan on sleeping in if you can even get to sleep on that ---- bed . the beach was nice except for all the dogs running loose and all the dog ---- all over. for the price go to any Caribbean island all inclusive and you will be much happier .

Owner's Response: This person was clearly not happy with Hawaii in general and took it out on us. He never even gave us a chance to fix whatever issues he had then left us with this nasty review trying to ruin our reputation. As you can see from others most people that stay here are stoked. The bed is not hard as a rock but it is not a waterbed. I have never had anyone else complain about it. Also mosquito's are really not an issue here he must of left the doors open after dusk. Unfortunately he choose to rent from us and not an all-inclusive in the "Caribbean". It is not a fancy hotel but it is a cozy place on one of the best property's on the North Shore and we really do take a lot of pride in it. Aloha
