Escape to our charming 825 sq ft A-frame cabin with a cozy loft with a king bed and 2 floor level twin bunks. The perfect place for couples looking for a romantic, magical getaway, small families finding time to connect, adventure and explore, or individuals looking for a mountain retreat for business or alone time. Nestled in the pines of Twin Lakes at the foot of Mt Elbert, bordering San Isabel National Forest, there is something here for everyone. Just minutes from hiking, biking, fishing, boating, paddle boarding, the shores of Colorado's largest glacial lakes, or Mt Elbert Forebay, breathtaking views, the Continental Divide, or Old Historic Twin Lakes, farm stands, and more.

Remove personal items and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please wash all dirty dishes and place them in the dish drying rack. No need to dry or put them away. Make sure the hot tub cover is closed. Do not make up any used beds.
Because there is no trash service in this community, please pack out the bulk of your own trash. Trash bags are provided.
Please place used towels in the bathroom and used sheets on the bedroom floor. Thanks for helping us prep for our next guests!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
PETS OF ANY KIND NOT PERMITTED TO SLEEP IN ANY BEDS - if beds are found filled with pet hair you will be subject to additional cleaning charges

Cabin was a cozy size and professionally clean. The hot tub was a family favorite! The location of it being 5 minutes from Twin Lakes was a plus. The only inconvenient thing was taking the trash. It was communicated clearly and I understand why, but with a family vehicle packed with luggage it was not easy taking 4 days worth of trash. Otherwise, I’ve already recommended it to friends!

Outstanding! From start to finish 5*. Excellent communication from a friendly, professional and knowledgeable host. The property is stunning and indeed cosy but by no means a pseudonym for small! It felt spacious and sumptuously appointed with a wonderfully equipped kitchen and outdoor spaces. Warm fire, plush furnishings and the beds were wonderful. After a dip in the hot tub, BBQ'd steak and smores, we slept like logs! Impeccably clean absolutely everywhere and great to have the high tech washer and drier which were efficient and quiet. All round a wonderful stay. Highly recommended! Thank you Jonathan for a wonderful stay.

The little A frame cabin was great. We are a family of three and our dog and it fit us perfectly. It was clean. Well stocked to cook. The location is great. Having to take your trash with you is the only odd thing. Luckily we had a truck with a camper shell and live only a few hours away to take a week’s worth of trash with us. Other than that we loved it and enjoyed our stay.

We love hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, taking our kids places and spending time with family. We are so excited to VRBO this Cabin so that others can enjoy our favorite area of Colorado!

Why they chose this property

Twin lakes has been one of my wife and I’s favorite places since before we were even married. We only dreamt of owning a home here until we found this a-frame, a dream come true! With Mt Elbert as our back yard, the lakes down below, direct access to the continental divide, the aspen groves and so much more, we could not be happier to have a home here and to share it with you!

What makes this property unique

We absolutely love the coziness of our 852sqft A-frame. With gorgeous, big windows in the front and a loft for sleeping. It backs up right to national forest, guaranteeing privacy, a quiet and peaceful environment and access to pristine wilderness right out the front door. A 10 minute drive to the lakes, Mt Elbert summit trail next door, gorgeous aspen groves to see in all seasons, it’s no wonder it’s our favorite place to be.
